They are tryi g to get it better now that they have clarence back as g.m. he makes sure every body cleans very very good or they will do it over in stay later if that is what it takes.john the cook the new cook.he makes sure they have a lot of chicken ready when need.in always cleaning his kitchen.ray does a lot of diffent things in their the older people love him very nice to them.makes them smile in laugh.very pleasent to customer.got rid of rude ones that is why short of staff.got rid of manager that noone liked because the way he was. With girls.it is going to take a lil bit of time to get it together..but they trying.it can be improve of owner cared any thing about his place but he can care less.that is why clarence cant order stuff to inprove the place cause the owner wont let him to cheap.so they make do with what they have.so blam the owner not the ones working..the place is going down hill..they dont let clarence order the things he needs to make it better people always getten burn when cooking .or cleaning.dont let him order gloves for them to were. Some of the cooks dont rotait the chicken so going bad i. Still want u to service.new cook wont serve bad chicken he throws it out dont care who gets mad.they run out of chicken all the time people keep walking out dont get paid enough to work their min wadge ray hes 8 years their m8n wadge never a raise.owner to cheap .dont care about this store cause he has other ones.ray the nice talking one the older people like a lot got fired today cause he would not open store.he is not a manger their so he said no .so the owner fired him.every body needs to stop going their .go to mini market down the st fresh chicken every day cooked while u wait .dont take long.got a lot of didnt stuff to put on your ch8cken try her u will love the ch8cken.watch what u it from this ch8cken express u might get sick.

The worst food place I have ever eaten at. I waited 25 minutes for my food all I orders was tenders and chicken. The staff are nasty!! They play with their hair then touch the food. They dont wear hair nets. One staff had there shirt tied up as if they was at a summer bbq. Others has there shirt inside out. They would come from outside to inside and touch money they touch food. They would grab food from freezer, with there bare hands and put the food in the fryer without gloves or washing there hands. They played with my food. When I asked for my refund, because I was discussed on what was going on with in the 25 minutes that I waited. She said the food was almost done. I said I just wanted my money back they slammed the window. Then not only they SHORTED ME OUT MY MONEY. when I confronted them on it, she said because I didnt give back the two 69 cent teas. I responded NO ONE ASKED ME TO GIVE THEM BACK. She slammed the drive threw window and gave me some random change. She didnt even count it she just gave me alot of change back. Not one person apologize not once. After i literally waited 25 mins. The whole staff was teenagers. One even threatened to call there uncle. I guess he runs the whole things. I dont know I hope you read this UNCLE .to see how your staff treats people.

You always have a 20 minute wait in the drive thru. If you get out to go in its a automatic 30, even if you are the only customer. I finally drove off yesterday for the last time. The new management is horrible!!!! Yesterday I placed a order only to pull up to have my order cancelled for me. The little girl was more concerned with ordering a pepperoni pizza with her coworkers than addressing my concerns. She proceeds to tell me that they were out of breast meat. I asked her how long. Now keep in mind that for once its only two cars in the drivethru but its 15 minutes passed since I got to the window. She then tells me, I know you dont want to wait so I will cancelled the order. First of all its chicken and thats all you do is cook chicken so whatever cook is back there should know to drop a piece by now. She tells me 13 minutes bc he never dropped any. The place was a horrible mess on the inside. They were touching chicken with their bare hands and putting it in boxes. They were playing and joking like we were not important. I pulled off for the last time. I finally went to the one on grapevine hwy. I had a better experience!!

I have been there on three occasions for their fried catfish. The first time it was just to find out what I am getting because I heard they had good catfish. So for me the first time was just an experience not paying to much attention to the finer details. The second time I went the car hop told me it would be 15 minutes. I waited patiently and i was there for 25 minutes before getting any type of service. I complained wondering where the food was and after waiting close to thirty minutes I finally got my food. My third visit was 21/2 months later this time the car hop tells me it would be 11 minutes for the catfish. I told him it was fine just not to overcook the catfish. It seems as though my request never made to the person cooking my fish. I waited at least 25 minutes before I complained about where is my food. I asked for a refund. They gave it to me. They also gave me the catfish and it was still overcooked. If you go there for the chicken you should be fine, just dont go there for the catfish. If anything they should remove it from the menu.

i used to be a manager here, and i can tell you right now this place is terrible. no one wears gloves when touching raw food, no one washes their hands, and no one knows how to properly treat customers. plus, last time i checked, the manager doesnt even know how to do half of the things there. the employees like to just stand around talking rather than working on orders, which is THE reason it takes so long for your food to get out. employees do talk bad about customers in front of the customers. something is always broken in the store. the bathrooms are always disgusting. the lobby is always a mess. it is an honest to god mystery why this place is still up and (not really) running. there are some employees that do care about that job and take it seriously. but theyre so far and few between to make it worth the thirty minutes youre going to be waiting for your wrong order. please listen to me when i say this: stop coming here. dont come here. stop giving this place business. it doesnt deserve it when it doesnt even appreciate it.

EXTREMELY rude staff, mediocre food, and dirty environment. Even the employees look like they dont wash themselves. I was able to listen to half of an album in my vehicle after ordering before I was told it would be another five minute wait which turned out to be a fifteen minute wait. All I ordered was four tenders with fries and sweet tea. I thought Frank Oceans album would have dropped before I got my food. I thought we would all be underwater from Global Warming before my food came out. When the employee brought my food to me he let out a huge sigh and handed me the food as if I was an inconvenience. The entire staff acts this way though, it isnt just one person. As someone that has worked at a Chicken Express before, I believe this chain store needs to be heavily retrained or shut down entirely. Richard Stewart (founder and still active board member/CEO) would lose his mind if he drove by this store and saw what was happening. Please, do not come to this location.
