First of all, Ive never written a review. It takes a lot for me to get online to babble about how bad of an experience I had. Chicken express Roanoke was able to accomplish that feat. For dinner I ordered a 4 express tender meal with with two sides, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. This was the first time I had ordered the mac and cheese and it was poor. Watery, cold, not a lot of flavor. Maybe thats the case for all chicken Es though as I have no baseline comparison. The tenders were meh; skinny, non filling and exactly 4 like I had ordered. (maybe Im spoiled from other chicken Es always giving extra tenders just cuz). The mashed potatoes were pathetic. About 1/3 of the to go side container was filled with luke warm mashed potatoes. Clearly this establishment is looking for areas to cut corners and costs. Must be a franchise. Last but not least, the biscuit. Arguably the best part of any chicken E meal but in this case, the worst part. To be honest Im not even sure where this chicken E got this biscuit because it was NOT a chicken E biscuit. The thing tasted like a biscuit from KFC! Exactly like KFC, only smaller (no surprise there) and a lot harder. I probably could have knocked someone unconscious by hitting them in the head with this biscuit. Also, they initially forgot one of my sides (convenient) and for whatever its worth another lady came in at the same time to complain about something although I didnt over hear what. Anyways in sum with this chicken express you will get less food, crappier food, and poor customer service. Thanks Chicken E!

Service has declined at this location for the following reasons: 1. Have you ever heard of a chicken place not having chicken available to sell to its customers? I ordered a simple 2 piece lunch and they told me it would be 20 minutes. Who has time to wait 20 minutes for fast food. 2. Just today I ordered from the drive through window...waited and waited 15 minutes goes by and I finally had to pull out of the line and go to Chick-fil-A. 3. Another day a few weeks back I ordered 2 piece at 10:30 am on Sunday and got yesterdays chicken. I can tell when it is not freshly made that day. This chicken was dry as a bone and turning to prettified wood. To the owners: you really need to improve your service to customers if there is going to be a delay you need to let us know so we can make a decision to go to your competitors. Do not make a customer wait in the drive through for 15 minutes. And never ever sell a customer yesterdays chicken. Shame on you! This Chicken Express has permanently lost a customer until they fire the current manager and find one that understands how to please the customer.

The epitome of stupidity!!! And they want 15.00 dollars an hour they are overpaid at 5 dollars an hour. I tried to order 3 times at the drive thru speaker but Tiffany the order taker could not hear so I drove up to the window and ordered face to face a 2 piece all white with a biscuit, fries, and a jalapeno. What I got was 2 piece all dark NO biscuit, cold fries and one very small jalapeno. And the sad thing is I repeated my order back to them and they said yes sir it’s all there. I noticed the reviews have gone downhill and I can see why, it all starts with the management. They need to clean house from the top down. I trashed the entire meal and went to Grandy’s in Rhome they are 100 times better

I continue to be disappointed with this location, more and more every visit... todays challenge was $3.00 for a single leg for my daughter. Why would I do that when I can go across the street to 21 wings and get her a 5 piece boneless for that? Long waits in the drive through Cold food Hard biscuits (so hard you cant eat them) Tenders that look like theyve been 1/2 eaten before being served to us Not the right amount of Tenders in my order This is our last visit until you get your act together

Cant remember the last time I reviewed a restaurant or fast food place but I have to say I was pretty disappointed with the food we received today. The tenders were pretty salty and looked nothing like what the menu show. The tenders looked pretty "pale". My kids were excited to eat the tenders but when I opened the box they looked a little grossed out and said "Im not eating those". Feels like a waste of almost $30. Rolls and fries were good. Gravy bland.

This location blows! I dont even understand how a newer establishment can suck so much. I waited 10 minutes for two extremely simple orders and couldnt even eat the slop I was served. Ive never seen fried chicken so pale and pathetic looking and it was so cold! How are you going to make me WAIT for cold food?! Ive been to so many chicken express and this one is the biggest let down.

The food & service here is terrible... Ive never had a chicken tender that was chewy??? I called back to speak with a manager & after leaving me on hold (a couple mins) comes back to the phone to argue with me about the texture & consistency of the chicken & the fact that they havent had any other calls or complaints. Definitely first & last time here

The service at this location is the worst. Everytime I come through they leave something out, get something wrong, give me old, cold food, etc. To top it off, I dont know why they would do things different but the chicken doesnt even taste like all the other Chicken Express locations. Steer clear!!!

Im not one to complain but today "12/28/16" i got chicken express and got home to realize my mashed potatoes were spoiled the smell of them were awful i will never eat at this chicken express again. So to others make sure you smell and check the food.

Super duper slow. Waited 20 min for liver and catfish and fried okra of course I didnt get any fried okra even after I told them twice I will never come here again.

The food is always great tasting and the staff is very friendly. The dining area kept clean and they have sports tuned in on their TVs. Go Rangers!

Friendly, quick service! My only complaint is the sweet tea, and tea in general is hit or miss. Sometimes taste like they used toliet water.
