Disclaimer: This is an old review I posted on Yelp, but I still feel strongly about this, so I am reproducing it here as it speaks to conduct. Do you like being ripped off? Do you like being essentially seated in the waiting area and having people leaning into you and on your table throughout your meal? Do you like having the waiter quietly give himself a $15 tip for your dinner for two? Me neither. Dont go here. ----- We are long time aficionados of sushi, to include sushi buffets and, more generally, Japanese buffets. We have been irregular customers of this restaurant since it opened. Today, we are officially done with this restaurant. We came in earlier this week and they told us of a great deal where we could come back Friday and get a 2-for-1 deal on dinner as long as we ordered drinks. So, we came back Friday, and ordered two *bottles* of sake. Apparently, seating a gazillion people in their gigantic restaurant was not enough. They had to cram tables into the bar area to get a half dozen more. Greedy. They seat us at one of these tables, tucked under the bar, the edge of the bar a foot or two from our heads. Then they proceed to let the scores of people waiting for tables to flood into the restaurant, so we literally had people bumping into us and leaning on our tables. But hey, good news, we only had the *second* worst table in the restaurant. Some poor couple was literally seated smack in a pass through area, so people had to squeeze around them constantly. We ask the staff if they can do something about it. Attempt #1: Confused...flee! Attempt #2: The manager. She asks the few people standing right next to our table to stand a little farther away. That works for about 3 minutes. Attempt #3: Nothing. Oh and then there was the waiter that showered my wife with ice as he pulled bottles of some drink from an open cooler that they chose to position about two feet from our table. What about our waiter? Well, we saw him at the very start of our meal and the very end. So, not so useful, but he apparently did not see it that way. There were only two of use, but he decided to... GIVE HIMSELF A $15.00 TIP, BAKED INTO THE BILL. So I go to the manager and her answer is, basically: "Oh, yeah, thats how it should be because we have this discount thing." WTF? With our two bottles of Sake, without the discount, our total would have been a hair under $100, $67 with the discount. So, old Scott-who-has-shown-his-face-twice-during-our-meal has given himself a %15 to %22 tip, depending on how you slice it. And... NO ONE WARNED US OF THIS AUTOMATIC TIP. A surprise tip is like getting a fortune cookie, if a fortune cookie was a turd that cost $15. :-P [For the record, this is not normal, and many would argue that the base tip for a *buffet* is lower than a typical full service restaurant.] We are done with this place forever and we recommend you not support them. If you want a sushi/Japanese buffet, do yourself a favor and head to Osaka Sushi near Preston and Park. They have never tried to shaft us and their food quality is always great.

DONT GO .... You want to be discriminated...go You want to be embarrassed...go You want to be monitored at a buffet...go You want to be yelled at...go You want to waste your hard earn money...go Upon paying our $100+ bill and walking out with my husband and 8 year old daughter - the cashier hands me a note from the manager that states: My dear customer, I regret to inform you we can not afford to serve you in the future. Therefore, this is the last time we will be serving you. Store Manager Jen-kuo Kao (signed in red) No conversation - no explanation - just a cowardly note. Not even professionally handed from him with some graciousness. So I insisted to speaking with him on what we did wrong. He proceeded to hide behind his staff and then running into tje kitchen until finally coming to the front. I asked why he would do such a thing and he began yelling at me saying "look at you - you waste food" (he was referring to my size- Im a large person 59" 250lb). I was so embarassed - let alone myself but in front of my impressionable self conscious daughter too. I asked him what could we have possibly wasted so much that you would refuse us service. Further explaining we ate everything on our table and even helped our daughter finish a couple of things once she got full (ie: chocolate strawberry/marshmellow). The only thing we didnt eat were the shells from the crab legs and shells out of the clam soup. He continues to yell at me - now in front of all customers "get out" as if Im a theif. We were in such shock we started to walk to the door and then he yells "just like you chose resturants, we can chose customers" .... Ok I get it now. So Im large person and white and with my Mexican husband. As we are walking towards the door he proceeds to yell louder "get out of here now". In the meantime, behind him stands a women who obviously felt bad for us and tried to speak to me - he shuts her down speaking in another language. She mouths at me "Im sorry" and walks away - while he agressively points us to the door. NEVER in my life have I been treated this poorly. We were a quiet family having dinner ...paid our bill in cash and bothered no one. IF we did something so bad - why didnt he come and quietly tell us - why the embarassing stage show. Im leaving this comment everywhere I can ...it was also reported to the Better Business Bureau and local news stations here in DFW. No one should be treated like this ...discrimination is wrong. Above all -what a shame my eight year old daughter witness this up close and personal about not only size and color - but just how cruel this world really is

My wife and I took my 81 year old mother, (and father) for Mothers day. It also happened to be my daughters 20th birthday. My wife called the day before we went just to confirm they would still honor my 20 year olds complimentary birthday meal - which happened to fall on Mothers day. They said "yes of course" on the phone. The next day on(Mothers Day), we went. After a long wait to be seated. We sat and waited for our silverware. During our meal which is nothing more than a sub standard Chinese buffet (except with crab legs), an Asian family seated next to us changed their babys poop filled diaper in the table just across from us. I believe there is a health department violation against something as disgusting as that, not to mention the fact that the family who did it are about as ignorant as the contents of the diaper for doing such a nasty thing. When I got my bill, I told the waitress that they were supposed to provide a senior citizen discount for my parents (because they do advertise this), in addition they needed to deduct my daughters birthday meal (which they also advertise and confirmed by telephone that they would do). They pretended not to understand, then pretended to go to the back and talk to the manager and come back to tell us that they could not give the birthday discount nor the senior discount due to it being Mothers day and no coupons were to be accepted. I argued that this had nothing to do with a "coupon" and we had even called the day before. So if your birthday is on New Years Eve, July 4th, MLK Day or another holiday - no birthday discount - I argued???? I provided my daughters drivers license to prove her birthday and agued with the greedy, stingy, customer-service lacking, Taiwanese owner to no avail. This place is disgusting. The illegals that work there are probably paid under the table and the service is pathetic. The food is the equivalent of a $9.99 Chinese buffet. Do not go there! The place is a ripoff! If I could give them negative stars - I would do so - but to prove my point - I give them a whopping 1 star.
