This is some of the BEST ice-cream you are going to find in ALL of Rochester at Hedonist Artisan Ice-Cream Shop. The flavors are always endless, and rotating around on a weekly basis. Every year Hedonist wins for Best Ice-Cream in Rochester. Google! Tip- make sure to look online to see what flavors are available for the day. All the ice-cream here is home-made and churned by hand in back. No one works harder at this shop than the employees who are always super helpful at making sure you understand what is going into the flavors of the ice-cream you are eating. It also pays to have your chocolate shop next store because Hedonist incorporates their famous chocolate pieces into the ice-cream. The interior is super-cute as I have had many quick dates here with people. Now keep in the mind the prices are steep, but you are getting the BEST quality of ice-cream in the Rochester area. Have no fear though since you are getting your monies worth since the SCOOPS are HUGE, plus you can UPGRADE to a waffle cone for an extra dollar. Hedonist Ice-Cream uses local ingredients from Pittsford Farms Dairy for their cream. It is always a treat to dive in, and see what crazy flavorful combinations this ice-cream shop will come out with next, always putting me on the edge of my seat. Bacon-Peanut Butter Toffee Ice-Cream- OMG, get out of my Millennium Falcon Han Solo, as this ice-cream is out of this galaxy. You can taste the rich smokiness of the bacon coming through in this smooth peanut butter toffee styled ice-cream. I love that their where no nuts in the ice-cream as I like my peanut butter creamy. The best part is the delicious after- taste making you want more, instead of the bad chalky after taste you get sometimes. Baklava with Peanut Butter and Jelly- Now, keep in mind, I HATED pb & j when I was a kid since the sandwich always got soggy by the time lunch rolled around. This ice-cream elevated the doubts of my past by switching up bread for Baklava. What an innovative and delicious concept to combine crumbly pieces of Baklava with baklava flavored ice-cream. The baklava pieces where sweet with pistachio nuts inside that helped balance the smooth flavor of the baklava ice-cream itself. The pb & j mixture combined well, giving you a brief taste of the Greek aisle. At the end of this cone, I was ready to break a glass at my next Big Fat Greek Wedding. Truffle Chunk Ice-Cream- what sold me was the fact that Jamie in the front counter told me that they JUST put fresh truffle pieces in with the chocolate from next store- BONUS. I loved the texture of tasting delicious dark chocolate truffle pieces with caramel toffee styled ice-cream. Carmel, Truffles, and Ice-Cream, I mean come on, what a winning combination!! Banana Cream Ice-Cream- Ironically, this was my FAVORITE ice-cream here, as I thought this particular ice-cream was churned to perfection. It was perfectly smooth in texture as you took a bite of it with your spoon. The banana flavor was NOT over-powering, giving you this fresh creamy subtle taste within each bite. Real banana pieces inside would make this the ultimate ice-cream sundae. Overall: BEST Ice-Cream in Rochester, Bacon-Peanut Butter Toffee. Baklava and PB & J, Truffle Chunk, Real Rich Chocolate Pieces Inside, and Home-Made Creamy Goodness....Why Would I NOT Be Back?

Ive been coming here for years with my son. Hes 14 now and we just stopped in for an end of summer treat. How wonderful! I had the matcha ice cream in a waffle cone, and he had a root beer float with vanilla. About 2/3 of my way through my serving I let my son taste it and almost didnt get it back! The service is great, the product is better, and being able to walk right over to Star Alley to eat it is the best. Ill keep coming here until they tell me I cant!

I really wanted to like them. Tried the following flavors: chocolate truffle, baklava, and salted caramel. Found the ice cream to be too rich and didnt have the large pieces of add-in that everyone else has noted. Their homemade cones were a nice touch, but they had too much cinnamon or nutmeg. Also thought the prices were too high given the quality of the product.

Love how they change up the menu. Ive tried and really liked some unique things here. Location is perfect the service is pretty good. One time I went 10 minutes before closing and a few families did the same so the 2 ladies working seem very stressed however I would have been too with the amount of people wanting to try things

Fantastic, creative flavors, good service, and very reasonable pricing. I love trying the rotating flavors, but even if they dont sound enticing for me, the chocolate sorbet and strawberry are absolutely amazing. Its dangerous for me to live so close!

Basically overpriced McDonalds . Can taste the heck out of chemicals, wouldnt come here again not recommend.. not even to someone without tastebuds. At least the service is mediocre +2. Would recommend fried Thai ice cream down the street.

The chocolate shop they run is really elegant and quality chocolate. They put a lot of time into making the chocolate and experience. The prices are pretty high but its really worth it because its special.

Very friendly service with a nice mix of traditional and more offbeat flavors. I had the whiskey goat cheese fig ice cream (the strangest on the menu) in a waffle cone and it was excellent. Would go again.

Delicious ice cream. The chocolate sorbet is like eating a fudge brownie but cooler and they make the waffle comes at the place. Its a little expensive but not ridiculous.
