Tried this out earlier today and it definitely met my high sushi standards. Service was very attentive as well as a unique atmosphere and decor. Me and my girlfriend got the avocado bombs, shoyu ramen, and the volcano roll. None of them disappointed. The avocado bombs are deep fried crab stuffed avocados drizzled in unagi and spicy mayo and they will simply just melt in your mouth. If youre a big fan of the dragon roll or any fried rolls, I promise this will leave you coming back for more. The volcano sushi roll was large, presented well, is one of the better volcano rolls Ive had (but not the best) and most importantly proportionate to the price it sells at. The ramen was nothing fancy having only pork, egg, and beansprouts with the noodles. But whatever little ingredients it had, it more than satisfied my ramen craving. The pork servings were large and had a proportionate fat/meat ratio. The shoyu broth without being too strong was full of flavor and soaked the sliced pork making it tender and juicy. The proportions were more than worth it. The three dishes filled us both and didnt cost any more than $40 for me. This is going to be a regular for me from now on and i will definitely be back for more. Highly recommended!

UPDATE: My wife and I have been earning here now for over 2 years and I can still say this is by far the best Sushi we have had in Texas! I would not consider this a Romen place which others have given or reviews on, This is a Sushi & Korean food place which both are outstanding. My 5-Star rating still stands with flying colors! Wow was I surprised, I ate at Kenzos tonight for the first time, and my I say it will NOT be the last time! I travel a lot for work and have the pleasure of eating sushi in San Francisco, Newport Beach, New York etc. And I can in all honesty say this is some of the best sushi Ive ever had the pleasure of eating. Absolutely the best sushi in Texas bar none. Sue and Hwang were wonderful serving up some fantastic original creations. You absolutely have to give Kenzos a try, you owe it to your taste buds! My wife and I have added this to our regulars. The rolls are big and the atmosphere is perfect. 5 STARS

There are not many restaurants that I give 5 stars but this place was incredible. Who would think that in Murphy would there be such a great find; definitely worth the drive. I was up for lunch and thought I would stop in. I have eaten at a lot of Sushi restaurants and this place is by far the best. The Sashimi was thick and well portioned; great taste! The double double and the spicy tuna tempura were incredible. A lot of sushi places are great at over charging you and under delivering on the portions but this place definitely delivers. The only detraction I have is that the wine selection seemed a little pedestrian but I will definitely be back.

For 5 star systems I give a 5 star to an experience that rivals the best ive ever had. Similarly I only give one star to an experience that rivals the worst experience Ive ever had. My wife and I tried this place last night, hoping to find decent sushi near our home, and the food was terrible. The salmon and eel both tasted like they had been left out for a week. One of the three rolls we ordered was edible. One wasnt what we ordered at all. The server never brought my wife a water. There was at least one cricket inside the restaurant. The only positive thing is that we didnt get sick after eating here.

The food is great for the price but the wait staff always seems completely flustered. Ive been in there when there were maybe two or three other tables to attend to and the two waitresses always look as if it was their first day on the job. I get that these kids are young, heck it might even be their first job, but I cant imagine that carrying food over to a table and refilling drinks to be that difficult to accomplish. Maybe Im being picky, but seeing the waitresses seemingly struggle with such a basic task does detract from the experience.

I have been a regular here for awhile, but based on my order today , I wont be returning. You really need to supervise your order if its take out. I sent someone to get my order because I am ill. My order was 1/3 the size of the normal order of that same item. I called to complain and spoke to a young girl. I asked her to have the chef to call me. I received a call back from a different young girl. Its such a shame. The food is good, but, a "short sale " is the same as stealing in my book. Ill find another establishment.

Had been recommended here by my aunt and had randomly stopped by one night for a little date night. Ordered the volcano, edamame, California roll, and spicy avocado tuna. The volcano was delish! A little spicy.. But very full of flavor. Truly enjoyed my dinner. Very attentive staff and received a soup, and salad before our meal that came with our order of rolls. Highly recommend this place for when your wanting good sushi, and nothing packed. :)

Hidden gem in the Murphy area. Fantastic sushi at a really great price point. My fiancé and I love salmon, and the salmon sushi is perfect here. I cant get away from the spicy salmon tempura roll. Used to live in Southern CA, and Kenzo rivals some of the best sushi spots from back home. I definitely recommend this spot!

We have been here on two occasions for lunch. Each of us had Bento boxes which were all excellent. The place is small but very clean. Our server was pretty efficient but not very friendly. 1 missing star for that and the fact she never has any ice in the ice tea refills. Maybe Im too picky!!

Delicious food with good prices and nice waiter. I live about 10 minutes from this restaurant and never knew about it (but now I do). Wonderful atmosphere and very simple in its style. I got the Gyoza ramen and it was flawless. Very nice presentation. More people should go there right now.

I eat Sushi all over Plano and Dallas. This place may have some of the freshest and best presented Sushi in the area. Prices are low for this quality of Sushi. This is a must stop is you enjoy Sushi and only a few minutes from Plano, Richardson and Allen.

I came here after reading the good reviews, but I was highly disappointed. I waited 35 minutes for something that tastes like 50 cent ramen noodles, furthermore my sushi was falling apart. I was very polite the entire time so I dont know what happened. :c

Delicious sushi. Nice and peaceful ambience. Very glad to find an authentic Sushi restaurant in East Richardson. Price is reasonable. Sashimi is super fresh and sushi just melts in your mouth... Thus will be our future go to place for Japan food.

Very friendly place, surprisingly good sushi for being so far out in the burbs. They do not carry a wide selection of difficult sushi (eg, uni), but what they do have is always good (tuna, yellow tail, salmon, salmon belly). And yes they make rolls.
