Ive been to this place twice, the first time because it was new, the second because I must be a glutton for punishment. The burgers come in one style: charcoal. I mean they really cook the crap out of them, like they were angry with the cow or something. The buns, lettuce, tomatoes, etc were also sub-par. The fries are nasty, cold, extremely greasy with no salt- floppy with grainy texture on the inside.. Stay the hell away from this place and go eat at B&D Burgers (its not far at all and its the best burgers in Savannah, for real) or even Fudruckers if you feel that you must have fast food chain burgers. Edit: This review was based on the downtown Five Guys, and was written years ago. I would say that the one downtown should still be avoided, but the one in midtown is OK. Also, Green Truck is now the king of the burgers in Savannah. :)

All over the walls of this place there are newspaper clips from cities in the USA boasting that they are the best burgers in town Well i dont know what these 5 Guys are doing but they are far from Savannahs best burgers. The beef could be fine except that its cooked to death. I ordered the large burger and was amazed to find it consisted of 2 of the small burger patties pressed together on a bun! There is no service so you serve yourself when your number is called The french fries came in a polystyrene cup and the burger was wrapped in foil. Fast food at its worse - and fancy prices too for a self service burger joint. Cant see this franchise surviving in Savannah when there are so many good restaurants downtown.

five guys is pure, blissful gluttony. the burgers arent expensive at all; they range around $3-$4 and you can get whatever toppings and condiments for free. i go all out with the junior cheeseburger (one patty is more than enough!) with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickles, ketchup, mustard, and mayo. so gooood! you can also add things like bacon, mushrooms, grilled onions, or bbq sauce. go with the cajun style french fries. a regular order of french fries comes heaping right out of the fryer in a styrofoam cup. while you wait on your order you fill your fountain drink up and stock up on ketchup you could ever want. i love five guys - some of the best burgers ive ever had.

So I come here often for lunch during the week and everything is fine. The food isnt spectacular but its a burger so Im not expecting much. I decide to drag my wife and 8yr old son in there one weekend for a bite while were downtown. Never would I have expected to be so embarrassed. I had to explain to my wife that I have not ever heard the staff using profanity and making lewd comments when I ate there before. Its no place for little ears if you catch my drift. Informing a manager would be the ideal thing to do if the manager wasnt a participant in the abhorrent behavior. Never coming back.

For almost $30 to feed too people, I expect to get something at least moderately attractive. This bacon/cheese hot dog looks like it was thrown around and taken through the trash before getting thrown into a bag. They made me a new dog, that looked much better, and were very apologetic about it, but it shouldnt have been assembled like this to begin with. The expression "people eat with their eyes" is very true. The better food looks, the more appetizing it is, and the more likely we are to eat it. That hot dog I was given first, was thrown in the trash.

Great customer service, burgers well put together, cooked correctly, and as always their fries are amazing (add cheese fries PLEASE!!!!) also a few months back credit card machine was down, they let me order and I dined in- when I was finished I was asked if I had time to let them rerun my card. Their system still being down they said it was in them. They could have let me leave as they knew it was down before I ordered but still took my order. Than apologized to me for the inconvenience..... Great service and great food.

Although a little on the pricey side for a burger joint, the burgers and fries were excellent. I really enjoyed the cajun fries. Unless you eat a ron of food, I suggest you just stick with the regular size. They tend to pile the fries up pretty high. The one complaint I have is that there are no milkshakes! Ive never been to a place like this that didnt have milkshakes.

This location was very busy but it was very efficient. The location was kept tidy by a friendly employee who asked if everything was good and if we needed anything. The food was prepared exactly as ordered. It was delicious hot food. To use the restroom a code is needed that is provided on your receipt. The ladies restroom was clean.

Its a five guys so ys great!! Pinpad on the bathrooms so make sure to ask for the code before you do your bidness. Pokemon go players: you can hit THREE stops from this place if you eat in the dining room. Great place for taking a break after a day of hunting to restock on items and food.

The burgers feel like Whoppers from Burger King. The place is outdated; checkered red and white tiles seem a bit from the 60s. For the price of 6$ a burger they are a bit on the expensive side but they fill you up.

We loved Five guys but this place was not up to par. The service was just ok. The food was not good, buns were hard and bruger just didnt taste so good like they should. So this one gets 2 stars.

Great cheap burger place next to river street. The food was great, as Five Guys always is, and I t was fast. Now for our experience we were given more than we ordered, but Im not complaining.

Hard to beat Five guys. This is a great spot if you are on foot... sort of a PITA if you want to drive to it though, parking (as in all of downtown Savannah) is a challenge.

Hit up Five Guys after a long night at Club One. There were two security guards at the doors and service was super slow. Looked like quite a few shady characters were there.

Burgers and service done right. Open late, foods great. Those giving is a score of 0 are likely competitors. I dont see any of their complaints in action. This place rocks.

The burgers are good but a bit pricey. Three small burgers (no fries) and a bottle of water was $27. The staff was not incredibly friendly and the service was slow.

Want some good fries.. Go check it out. Heard a lot of it from TripAdvisor and Yelp. Finally tried their fries. Delicious and you will be licking your fingers.
