Upon entering great presentation clean dining area and well lit. Seated ourselves to any table and was waited by a young gentleman it took about 5 min for him to ask for our drink order and he did not introduce his name when waiting. Ordered the buffet and tried their lo mein , crawfish, and general chow chicken which "alright " to a regular Chinese restaurant goer . Throughout the seating the gentleman did not tend to refill and was needed to be called . Upon reaching the dessert course their was ice cream but it was not in a walk to freezer instead places on top of a serving roller which made the ice cream texture more to the melted side . The home made donuts to accompany the ice cream did not have much sugar and we needed to roll each one on the excess sugar stuck on the pan. The donuts were "not so great " as per the regular Chinese restaurant goer . Overall , this restaurant gets 2 stars for its not so great service and ice cream presentation.We are the RGV food critique and will continue to rate more of your favorite restaurants !

Had dinner here for the first time with two other couples. (12/16/11) Arrived and were seated right away in a well lit, clean dining room. Our drinks were brought to us promptly. The selection of food was astounding! None of us could get over the many choices. As each serving container got down to about a four or five servings left a new steaming hot tray was brought out to replace it. Between the six of us we tried everything and not one sampling could be called lukewarm. Hot things were hot and cold things were cold as they should be. We all made several trips to the buffet lines and each time we returned our used plates had been cleared. We were asked if we wanted refills on our drinks and waitstaff was pleasant to deal with. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and know already that these Winter Texans will return to Lins! Dont miss out on this restaurant.

Ive tried almost every chicken chow in mcallen and I can say this was the worst Ive ever tried. I thought OK maybe I got a wrong Bach, so I went back and tried their jalapeno chicken also the same texture soft and squishy It made me feel sick to my stomach I had to spit it out. Their sushi tasted as if its been left out hours, dry. Fruits and sweets I dont know about you but I think the way they have their ice cream for anybody to open is easy and less stress but I think it is very unsanitary, reasons, people dont always have clean hands and they go in and scoop their ice cream and their fingers can easily go in the ice cream. (Thats just one example scenario) I wouldnt give my daughter that ice cream. Fruits and other sweets was alright hospitality was good Water was great tho

For 2 people, this buffet will cost you 29$, which is grossly overpriced for the terrible food that they have available. It was cold, stale, and barely edible. As soon as I took the first bite I already had regrets about spending a penny here. I will never ever in my life eat at this terrible restaurant, and I suggest you never do either

I simply love this place, it is always very clean, the food delicious, good service by the staff, affordable price, I always leave the buffet with a full stomach and a smile on my face I recommend it to all, great atmosphere for the family

Mary Jane was our waitress. She made sure we were never left without a beverage or napkins. Granted, she did at a point serve me a diet coke instead of a coke, but overall she did a fantastic job. Needless to say I left her a nice tip.

Fresh food, and good service. Just make sure you check your plates before you serve yourself because sometimes the plates are not correctly washed, and they stay dirty from the bottom. Other than that Linns is a nice place to dine.

The food is alright. Most of the food is fried, and there could be more vegetable and fruit options. Dinner prices start at 4PM. Bring a sun shade for your car because there is only one tree in the parking lot.

Mostly all the food was stale tasting not fresh at all, sushi rice hard, ice cream mostly all gone, just an overall bad experience for the price (27.00 for 2) I recommend grand China buffet in pharr.
