Everyone has a favorite style of sushi - loose or tight, sashimi or sushi; so I wont try to make a case on that. However, my family & I went there on a Sunday afternoon, and received excellent attention and service. My wife had tempura, while I tried the combination yaki udon. My son asked for the sushi lunch. The quality of the food in all cases was excellent, and the portion sizes were generous. My wife asked for a serving of fried rice with her tempura - which Im still trying to figure out. We normally ask for white rice. But it was a great choice - the taste was excellent. My yaki udon was well seasoned, and the portions we cut large enough to easily facilitate chopsticks, although they provided me with a fork, in case i couldnt shovel it in fast enough. My son had an interesting selection of sashimi and sushi, which he ate, complimenting each as he did - and my son never likes anything! :-) We also shared a Green Fuji roll as an appetizer. It had an interesting, delicate taste. The scallions perfectly offset the smoked salmon flavor, while the avocado provided just the right amount of buttery smoothness. Overall, we had a great lunch, and will definitely return.

I really do know good sushi, I read the reviews and was near this restaurant after going to church....The atmosphere is nice, the service was great and very friendly, (it was warm inside, a/c needed to be turned on)....That said it was some of the worst sushi I have ever eaten, me my wife both ordered spicy salmon rolls that were lose and fell apart with minced up sub par pieces of sushi in them (same with spicy tuna rolls)..They do not know how to roll a tight roll and worst of all the quality of the sushi was as low as I have ever had..... Like I have stated the service was great our waiter was friendly as can be, but in the end the quality of the food is what really matters and this is some of the worst I have ever had... We went do to the great ratings on Google...All I can say is either the people giving these great ratings do not know good sushi, or the ratings were from friends and family members of the owner....Needless to say we will NEVER RETURN....WE actually go sick from eating it....and threw out all our leftovers...

We have been coming here for years. The restaurant was great with good quality food and the staff was way beyond amazing. Over the last year all of the familiar staff has moved on and the food quality is terrible! I asked if they were under new management or had new chefs and the girl just shrugged saying she thinks they are the same. It took 15 minutes to get a glass of water! The service was slow so if you are in a hurry forget it. I sent back my shashimi tower with well over half left bc I couldnt stand the nasty fishy taste anymore, my guest complained about their rolls being fishy as well. They ordered the Pink Lady and Sunshine rolls. We order the same items everytime we visit. They charged me for a large tower and i know i was served a regular sized. They took only $5 off my bill! We will not be going back! There are way to many good sushi restaurants in Katy to waste your time here. And to think all the people we referred to here in the past!

4/20/13 Service was slow cus of my waitress; and trying to get my waitresses was kinda hard Food was ok; and they have Lots of freaking rolls! But to me it just seemed like they kept recycling the rolls and all still seemed plain to me. Some did stand out from the rest but really i could count on my hand of the ones that werent just reused again in the menu Crab puffs kinda taste like nacho cheese, so not what I could call a crab puff and not something i want to waste my money on if it doesnt taste whats its suppose to taste like Unagi was ok but very fatty, half of the cut was. If i pay for meat i want meat not more fat than beef, especially if its not cooked down. They have real wasabi but it’s really watery with chunks of whatever, so I don’t know if this is real or not as the others I’ve had are the creamy paste kind (not the usual fake stuff). This one still has the same sorta flavor but I’m not sure what it is

Were asian, regular sushi / sashimi enthusiast from California. Went in on a Sunday night and it was dead. That should have been a giveaway. Had the large sashimi / sushi combo. It was mediocre at best and so was the service. The place really lacks ambiance. The kicker was that my wife and I had gastrointestinal "discomfort" that night. Oh well, another sushi place to strike off our favorite list. We went there a couple of months ago but when I saw some of these reviews I thought it sounds kinda "fishy". Heres a point of wisdom for "authentic" asian foods enthusiast who are not asian. Dont go to any asian restaurant that doesnt have asian customers.

Their staff is unbelievably slow. We gave this place so many tries and each time it was a complete let down. Their food is good but the time you have to wait once youre seated is ridiculous. Theyve forgotten many of our orders, rarely come back around to refill your drink. I had one experience where I waited 15 minutes after asking for our check before having to stand at the hostess stand for another 5 minutes before anyone would help...and even then they werent helpful and were rude and acted as if they didnt understand why waiting that long to pay wasnt normal. Thankfully, we found another sushi place in Katy and we will not be returning.

My family go to this location so often to get our order togo. And this will be my last time visiting this location. How can you possible make any sushi order and completely omit the WASABI on the order. We get home and no Wasabi - I called back and talked to the manager to explain what happened and all they offered us was to come back to get it. I mean seriously how do you prepare sushi and not put any wasabi and then horrible customer service when I can and report the issue to you. We Will not be returning as this isnt the first time that you have forgotten something on our order.

Will not go back. Waited up front to be seated for 5 mins. Workers passed us by cleaning tables but did not inform other employees of new customers we almost sat ourselves. We ordered all food at one time and my husband got his food first then my children and my mom an I were left with none for about 20-30 minutes. We were told they were short handed and our sushi would be out soon. It came out and it was not so pleasing. The next day I was sick and stayed sick for a few days. Horrible service horrible food.

Would call this our favorite restaurant in Katy. Extremely fresh fish, melts in your mouth. Great menu variety. Prices are affordable about $12 per portion. The ambience is average and intimate. Services is great. Waited longer only one time out of 15 visits, but we came in very late that night. Restrooms are clean. Furniture and Interior design are basic. There are two TVs and show sport games when there are some.
