If you do not want to get dressed up to get sushi just go to Kobe. It is one of those places that are nice but casual. Their new location has more seating and is not so close together. If you are planning to go on a friday or saturday get a reservation or you will be waiting for a while... kinda. Everyone there is really freindly, and they treat you like family. If you go the shaggy and the dragon rolls are some of the best... forget that all of their food is the best...

I came Kobe with my wife about 7:30 pm today (Wednesday) for her birthday celebration and I asked a waiter to recommend food because we dont know much about Japanese food. The waiter helped us to order ss2 salmon steak and k4 Teriyak steak. And also we asked two cup of hot tea. The food is too bland and no feature but the price is quite high that total cost us $48.5 (one cup of tea costs $1.8!) include tips. This is my worst experience for Japanese food.

Still my favorite sushi restaurant in the city. You can show up however you like, just make sure that you sit at the bar. The quality of the fish is always impeccable as is the precision and craft that goes into making all the sushi pieces. I have never had the cooked food here so cannot comment on that, but if you are looking for great sushi then look no further.

The food was okay... the rolls were sloppy. The rice and seaweed overlapped too many times and the rolls were too big. They also used lettuce in one of my rolls and it was wilted. The peppered tuna was not fresh and most items seemed to have been frozen at one point. The service was great and fast.

I was so dissapointed in the food here. They are really expensive as well.. The only nice part was our waitress was very nice. I gave it 1 star for 1 of the sushi rolls being really good and our nice waitress. There are better places for the money that you would spend here.

My experience at Kobe has been always good. The food is fresh and always served in a timely manor by the nicest staff. I recommend Kobe to everyone looking for Japanese meals. Very casual and I really like that I can just show-up for dinner occasionally.

Love this place. Found it with friends, sushi is awesome, wait staff is personable, food is quick to come and is a nice simple and quiet restaurant. Perfect for meetings or enjoying time with family or friends. Our favorite sushi place.

This place has really good food and reasonably priced for a hibachi grill type place. We have been back twice since using our Groupon but it is rather far for us since we live in Sugar Land...or at least my husband thinks so!

I love this restaurant. Its cozy and laid-back, and the service is great. I always get the Udon soup because the noodles here are incredible, but the sushi here is delicious, too.
