Placed a breakfast to-go order this morning at 7:00am for me and a few other coworkers... - I literally had to repeat every part of my order 3 times before the employee on the phone had it "correct". - When I arrived to pick up my order, all of the "to-go" parking was occupied by employee vehicles. There were only 2 guest dining inside when got there, so Ill let you use your deduction skills to figure that one out. - It took several minutes of standing there in front of half of their restaurant staff before I was finally greeted and asked if I was picking up an order... even their manager, who made eye contact with me, walked by without greeting me or the other guest behind me. - Once I was finally greeted and my order was brought out to me, I wisely opened every to-go container and reviewed everything to find that they left off the toast on my meal. - Condiments (picante sauce, ketchup, etc.) were not offered until I had requested them. - Plastic eating utensils were not offered at all. - Once I left and was able to start eating my food, I noticed they had left out the smoked sausage in my omelet, but managed to conveniently still charge me for it :-D All in all, their food is ok... hence the 2 out of 5 stars. The food is better than whats served at Dennys or IHOP, but the customer service is, at best, par with their breakfast competitors. Id normally be ok with 1 or 2 of the issues that I mentioned above, but to have all these issues in one visit... I felt that I needed to share my experience with all of those willing to read my review.

They deserve 0 stars but this rating thing wont allow it. First of all Im here on business from Ohio, and really looking forward to trying Texas BBQ. First thing I notice when I get my food is inside my brisket were some flies. Not the kind that fly in bc the doors been open. More like a buncha gnats flying in and out circling my brisket like vultures on a dead carcas. Sure...its gross, its downright disgusting. But a simple fix. No need to make a scene. I went to the cashier lady and explained, but she sent me to the order guy, and then he sent me back to the cashier lady who sent me to another cashier, who sent me to someone else...huh?? Does this happen a lot here?? No one was phased. No one offered to help or do anything. Then the "manager guy" or whoever insisted it was MY FAULT FOR NOT REPORTING THE FLIES IN THE FOOD WHEN I PLACED MY ORDER! Seriously??? "Yaa Ill have a pound of brisket...but without flies..." Im disgusted. A place like this has turned me off from Texas BBQ completely. Damn shame...

When we come here, its always for breakfast. Why? Because its amazeballs! AND! Our family of 4 (2 adults, 1 pre-teen, and 1 toddler) share the Smokehouse combo which means we eat for less than $20 and all leave stuffed. We do get an extra side of hash browns because well, were not monsters and you can only be down with sharing your hash browns so much. They have complimentary tools and cornbread. My favorite is the jalapeno cornbread! And we order waters because why drink your calories when you can carb-load on jalapeno cornbread??? Definitely recommend to anyone! Unless maybe vegans. When we were vegan, this would not have worked. Everything has meat or animal products. Except the water! Oh, and they have free "infused" water. Sometimes yummy, sometimes weird...guess it depends on who makes it and what gets put in. We bring family here when they visit from out of town..everyone leaves with a smile.

The place was really nice. It was clean. Very traditional. The service staff were very polite. But I had a very big dissatisfaction... My T-bone steak! It wasnt beef. I asked them for beef. I was very concerned on what I was going to eat. And repeatedly asked if it was beef or not. They said it was beef. But in reality, they gave us pork. Pork steak. I get a mild skin rash if I eat pork. Thats how I knew it was a fake. I paid for beef. And got white meat. It looked very pale. Thats why I asked them why it looked like that. They replied it simply was beef. You know, everything else was good. But only for this lie, Im never going to go back. Two more in my family also got pork steak instead of the beef that theyve asked. Very disappointing.

First time customer and this place was a top for being the worst! The service was horrible. No one checks to see if you are doing ok or if you enjoy your meal. You pay before getting your food, thats probably why they dont care. Once paid youre forgotten. But the Owner himself, checked on the table right behind my family and I several times. I ordered the fish plate and the chicken strip and pancake plate. The fish and the chicken were uncooked. When I spoke to the Manager about it, he told me "No, its done. Theres no pink." But my fish and chicken were still slimy, thats not done. My family and I left very unsatisfied! We will not be returning!

This place is awesome and there cornbread is amazing regular and jalapeno. There pancakes are fluffy and hashbrow are crispy. There chicken fried steak is juicy and the gravy is definitely not from a power mix. The brisket is soo good I could eat it plain, BUT I prefer barbeque sauce with my brisket sandwiches and there sauce sucks. I dont how they mess that up there food is soo good. Its very tomatoey taste like something Kraft made from the grocery store. Although it wont stop me from coming back it is a huge disappointment. Maybe Ill sneak my own in or something.

The wife and I went for breakfast and I had the brisket and eggs and the wife had just eggs and grilled biscuits. The eggs were very good and both plates came with delicious homefries. There was plenty of brisket and Ill be back for more. The fresh rolls and corn bread were very tasty. So that was the good. Now the bad news...the coffee was completely forgettable and the grilled biscuits tasted like they were grilled in differential oil. Well be back for supper but not for breakfast unless we bring our own coffee and dont grill the biscuits.

So I gave this place 3 stars because the meats are all good. The ribs were great even. But the sides, well to put it bluntly, they suck. The fried okra is of the store bought frozen variety. The potato salad was a mess - I dont even know what it was made of. But worst of all the mashed potatoes were cheep instant potatoes with a few bacon bits and a bit of cheese mixed in. I would come back for the ribs and chicken. But I think I will get corn on the cob next time for a side, because surely they cant screw up corn on the cob ... Right??

I eat breakfast here almost every Saturday morning, and a few times a month dinner as well. Their food is so amazingly consistent and YUMMY! Be warned though.. they have some pretty healthy breakfast portions.. as in you might not need a lunch! The decorations are really nice. Even after a few years of almost weekly visits.. I still catch myself reading or studying the memorabilia on the walls. Service doesnt really apply because its cafeteria style dining. The only thing Id change about this place is get some better coffee in there.
