I want to start my review by saying CUSTOMER SERVICE is EVERYTHING: With that being said I came with my fiancé and my daughter (2yo) tonight around 9:20ish (you all closed at 10) when we came in we was greeted by the cooks and both was very nice served us and went about their business, however when it was time to check out the cashier over charged my fiancé for his meal. (However I didnt catch it until after sitting down) Once we sat down and started to eat I realized this wasnt my favorite places to eat, I felt the food was bland to say the least and the brisket was very dry. It also didnt help that the BBQ sauce wasnt so great. Mean while during our meal the waiter who was cleaning up the other areas became really aggravated she watched out every move and went to check her phone and watch every few minutes to see the time. Every time she came over she was ask if we was finished or needed something to else to drink before they turn the drink off (we hadnt even touched our drinks) it got to the point where I became uncomfortable and just stopped eating. I couldnt even finish my meal because she was hovering over us. As my fiancé and daughter was eating, I notice another family come in (9:40) the waiter began to mumble to herself and the began to direct them to a different table then where they was headed to sit. I then watched her go over to the cashier and another lady and talk loudly about why people are still coming in (needless to say I was beyond uncomfortable at this point) the waiter once again walked back over to us several times until finally she reached over to take my finances tray (with his plates on it) WHILE he was still eating, and told he she was going to clean up. He replied he was still eating and as soon as he was done he would let her get it. She then began to breath loudly and reach down and grab my tray I told her "my family is not finished eating and do not come back until we have gotten up from the table to leave) finally she moved away once she heard the aggravation in my voice. Its just ridiculous. We spend 57 dollars on horrible food and poor service this will not happen again.

This place use to rock, when it first opened, and then for like a few years thereafter. Now its horrid. Customer service is excellent, and the workers are all very friendly, but Texas bbq is suppose to be soft. In Texas the ribs are suppose to be meaty, thick, juicy, and fall off the rib bone. And sausage doesnt have to be soft, but it shouldnt be harder to chew than the Serpentine belt in your car or truck! Everything here, except the bbq chicken, which was the only edible thing on the three meat plate, was extremely difficult to chew. Their meat is so hard that it was almost impossible to chew. And we thought we had a problem with Pappas BBQ spicing up their food a little a few years back. Thats why we started coming to Goode Co, but now Goode Cos bbq meats are so hard, especially the ribs, that were really pinkish colored, almost raw, and more difficult than eating your own arm would be. Their ribs are so hard they were nearly impossible to consume. The worst, by far, is their Chek Sausage, if you can even call it that. It was tougher to chew than a leather belt! We also had the turkey sausage, and it was no better. Steer clear of this place, because you can simply make a U-turn, head South down Highway 290, and a few exits down, on the right hand side of the feeder is Pappas BBQ. Pappas may not be perfect, either, but at least you wont have to pay for extremely expensive, and numerous, tooth implants! Want to keep the teeth you still have? Pass Goode Co BBQ right on by, take a U-turn, and go South on 290 until you see Pappas BBQ on the right hand side of the freeway. It may not be perfect, but your Periodontal bill will be 100% cheaper, thats for sure.

I always pretty much order the samething, a chopped BBQ sandwich, a side of sausage, and sometimes a a slice of pecan pie. I have not tried anything else. Im going to tell you where this place wins...they actually chop the BBQ in front of you, none of that--get it from a bucket shredded garbage like a lot of other places do. The atmosphere is very TX, always busy when we go. The dining area is kept very clean, they literally have cleaning people in the dining area, picking up used plates, cleaning tables, etc. The only thing Im iffy on is the BBQ sauce, its always a bit weak too me, a bit ketchup-y. However, I love the fact that they chop the BBQ in front of you off a fresh smoked brisket and the way they slice the sausage, etc. The pecan pies in the wooden boxes make great gifts - we brought some to family out of state when we visited and they *loved* it, very Texan. Goodes is better than my local joints, easily.

Had a large family dinner here last Thusday. The food was terrible especially the barbaque sause. My cousin was upset that his food cost over $17.00 and he took one bite and refuse to eat any more. He left early so we sampled his food and the sausage and brisket was so bad tasting everyone just spit it of their mouth. Dang! I can cook better than this and smoke meat a lot better and cheaper. The barbaque sause is bad. Might want to buy some barbaque sause at food town before you go to this place. Everyone at the table complained. Cant fool a Texan. I mean if I paid $4.00 for the plate I would let the bad food slide, but at $17.00 . Nice place to eat at, but the food so bad tasting, unless some people dont know what barbaque is suppose to taste like I would never recommend this place ever. Where do Goode Co get their head chef.

This place was awful. We went at a very slow time so there really was no excuse. To begin it is very expensive for what it is. When we got our meal it was lackluster and honestly a bit gross. The bbq sauce tastes like tomato sauce...very bland. Then to top off a rather disappointing experience, the staff was very rude to my child. Not just 1 but 2 employees on separate instances. This was the worst of the 2: My child has a delay so she does not speak like normal children but she loves to interact. She tried to thank one employee and was very rudely responded by a frown and "I dont understand you" then they just walked off. She was crushed. I do not at all support this business. Rude employees, horrible food. Go to another bbq joint.

Brisket is excellent. The links taste as if they were manufactured. The dirty rice is good. What the bad experience is they now charge $$$ for their BBQ sauce. We got 2 lbs of brisket but not enough BBQ sauce. We came back the next day to order some dirty rice and asked for some BBQ sauce. They charged the regular price $6.95/pint. What!!!??? I would pay $6.95 for a pint of dirty rice or potato salad. But $6.95 for a pint of BBQ sauce that should have been complimentary. Short change customer on complimentary BBQ sauce, then turn around and charge $6.95. What a distasteful business practice. Will not revisit Goode Company BBQ and will not recommend it either.
