My husbands company had a Christmas function here. We all ate in the barn, which is conveniently connected to the full service bar through a service window. There is ample seating in this area too. This restaurant is located in the business district of downtown Topeka. They do have some parking, but it is mostly street parking. Saying the food is great is an understatement. I usually visit on Wednesdays. This is the day they feature their half chicken for $10. You will have leftovers when ordering this. The best thing to eat here, of course in my opinion, would be the BBQ Nachos. The meat is cooked and seasoned very well. They also have a full bar with local, import, and domestic beer, as well as liquor. I cant wait to try them out during happy hour.

Have you ever had that wonderful moment, when you smell something and it evokes almost every single great childhood memory you ever had? Thats exactly how I feel when I walk into HHB BBQ at 720 S. Kansas Ave in Topeka. HHB BBQ, LLC is some seriously good BBQ run by a great couple. Ultra friendly service with a smile. The baby back ribs were the absolute best. Right up with the finest you will find. They dont even need the very good house made sauce. Juicy, meaty and worth the calories. I have to say that the Pulled Pork was extraordinary. Moist, delicate, porky... just dang good! The side items did not disappoint, as I tried the cole slaw, and the cheesy taters (the clear winner!) If you are a barbeque lover, run, dont walk to this place!

We stopped here on our way through town. Based on recommendations, we got the pulled pork nachos. They were very good. They come with just chips, cheese and pork. Then you can add additional items from a bar. Made them even better in my opinion that you get to pick how to dress them. We also got the sampler. The best part of the whole thing was the smoked chicken wings. The sausage and brisket were also good. We ordered sides- cheesy potatoes, smoked mac and cheese, smoked corn and the baked beans. All were solid. My favorite was the potatoes. Good beer selection, friendly service and nice decor make it worth the trip.

I live in KC and work here in Topeka and in the short time Ive been here have enjoyed their food on two occasions. I went on a Wednesday and got their half chicken special - yes - a HALF CHICKEN. It was exceptionally tender and moist. I just tried their ribs last Friday and they rival some of KCs finest. On both occasions, I got their macncheese as a side. This stuff is legit - cheesy, flavorful, and smoky (they smoke it right out front). If you havent been - go immediately and dont expect to fork over more than $10 for it.

This restaurant is simply awsome. The decore is reminiscent of a farm with a sliding barn door to divide a private room from the rest of the restaurant. The pulled pork is top notch and has very good flavor. I also had their potatoes and baked beens. Both were flavored very good. Their house sauce is top notch and has a very good flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant and give it a strong 10 out of 10. Good job HHB Barbecue.

Another bbq place was supposed to cater our company event, but went out of business, HHB helped us out on short notice and made the whole experience very stress free. Everyone was skeptical, not having tried their food before, but everyone loved it (even our picky bbq fanatics). We found them to be the most reasonably priced bbq caterers in town. They were so helpful and friendly, I highly recommend them for events!

Ive had lunch here a couple times. Service is fast! Its a little confusing where you order and pay the first time you go in, but you figure it out pretty quick (go order on the left at the back, and then pay the girl at the smoothie counter). The food is good, and I can never finish all of it. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good lunch outing!

The food is good, but the portions are small compared to the price you will pay for the food. Id much rather eat Lonnies BBQ! Not to mention I asked for more potatoes and the older lady working said" well that will cost more because this is out portion size" RUDE! I work near buy and think ill get something else next time in hopes of better customer service!

True BBQ connoisseur beware... Its ok but the meats are in liquid filled pans and that dramatically effects texture and taste. The baked beans are also lacking. I ordered a sandwich and I got a dry bun and meat on the side. Doesnt live up to all the hype and for what you get its a bit over priced. The spicy BBQ sauce is good though...

I had the brisket, and it was juicy and tender. Quite often you end up with some places keeping the meat in a water bath. If its over cooked it ruins the texture. HHB did a fine job, tasty sides and a nice condiment bar with multiple house sauces. Good smoke flavor and quality food. Ill visit again when in Topeka.

The brisket was very good, my wife loves this place and so I gave it a try. I cant speak for the rest of the menu, but she says the pulled pork nachos are the best. Great environment, very clean and friendly staff. If you are around down town and need to get your BBQ fix, this is the place to go.

Really not impressed. Meat wasnt very fresh, definitely not as flavorful as I would have hoped. It was clear all of the food had been sitting under the warmers for a while. That would be forgivable if the food had been cheap, but it was priced pretty high. Not recommended if you have other options.

Visited on a Sunday for a late lunch with family. Lots of seating and nice laid back atmosphere. Food was very good and service was good, a little slow but nice people. The smoked turkey sandwich was delicious! The sweet potato fries and seasonal veggies were also amazing.

A hidden gem in downtown Topeka. The best compliment I can give is that Ive never had anything bad there. The pulled pork and brisket are as good as anywhere in the city. Most items are between 7-10$, with 3$ sides. Great food and really friendly customer service.

Nice little hole in the wall, very pleasant atmosphere, great location in downtown Topeka. The food was very pleasant, good flavors all-around. I dont think you really need the sauce, very reasonably priced. I would recommend the baby back ribs.

HHB BBQ NEVER does my hunger pains wrong!!! Absolutely LOVE the cheesy taters! Just wish they were open on the weekends :( their new place is fantastically decorated and Id love to catch a game there and have a few drinks over the weekend

This place has a great atmosphere, and a delicious brisket, lunch menu is just a few items and moderately priced. Its not too packed, and conveniently downtown, but parking isnt always easy.

Had it for lunch and it was OK, but just OK. Price was maybe a little high for quality of food. I had pulled pork nachos and it was just movie theater nachos with a little pork on top.
