I wasnt too hungry so this review is simply on their service, appetizers, and drinks. We came before a night at the House of Blues and wanted to grab some grub before the concert. My fiancé and I shared the spinach and chicken quesadillas which were pretty tasty but not the best. It seemed more of chicken and cheese quesadillas instead of chicken and spinach. The mexitini was delicious! It was very similar to a mexican martini but a bit sweeter. I would have preferred them not to put the orange liqueur but thats okay. I tried ordering a margarita but they said they were out of ALL their infusions except the horchata one. Hmm, okay, no thanks! lol. Note: If you are wanting infused tequila, go to EL BIG BAD! The service was great considering the restaurant was packed. It didnt take too long and the waiter was very accommodating. I would rate them a 4-5 stars on that. The other food looked pretty good. Im sure if we had another event at House of Blues we may come here. I usually avoid downtown restaurants so its not something I would come to since its out of my way.

I have to say, I was disappointed and surprised. I normally love Guadalajara and was excited to find one in downtown for pregame or preshow eats and drinks. Upon arriving, we were given chips and salsa, the chips were stale and the salsa felt like it had been left out of the fridge for hours. No freshness to it. And if you aint ordering happy hour, be prepared to shell out some cash for very mediocre food. My girlfriend was pleased, but I was not. And for those prices (comparable to the delicious Ninfas on Navigation), I was expecting much better quality. Good selection...guess I got the wrong thing, I dont know. Still, you come out the gate with some lame ass chips and salsa, you got a lot of ground to cover to satisfy me. Sadly the meal didnt make it.

For a local chain restaurant, this location is surprisingly pleasant. Especially for a quick bite or drink before a show at the House of Blues. The bar usually has open seats and the staff is friendly. The interior is attempting to be contemporary with a festive flare, while a little over the top, it keeps the place lively yet modern. The food is pretty good, with a diverse menu and even a separate vegetarian menu with lots of options. The chips and salsa given to start are tasty and easy to pig out on. Prices are a little on high side, but that is to be expected for the location, and I think its worth it for the portion size. Not the best or most authentic mexican restaurant in the city, but not bad for the convenience.

Nice Downtown restaurant conveniently located just behind the House of Blues. The house margaritas were good and the salsa was great! The Guacamole we ordered for an appetizer was fresh but could have been a little more flavorful. The decor of the restaurant is nice and the noise level was excellent. The round booth we sat in was a little cramped but the hostess did ask if we minded sitting in it before she seated us. Next time well choose a different table. The food was great! I had the Enchilada Marisco which was wonderful! My husband had the Grilled Fish Tacos. They were tasty but my entree was better. All in all it was a great experience and we will be back!

Large seating area, so we were seated quickly. Very friendly staff. Ordered an appetizer of Queso Tejas and it was amazing. Entree was steak fajitas and the lunch special avocado chicken club quesadilla. Our order took about 25 miniutes to come out which felt long but we did get to throughly enjoy the appetizer. Slightly disappointed that the fajitas were NOT sizzling hot when brought to the table but they were still enjoyable. The quesadillas were absolutely amazing, maybe one of the most unique and tasty quesdillas Ive had. Price was a little higher than expected for most lunch specials but worth it for the great food. All in all, I would definitely recommend.

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants however a few years ago at this location it was my birthday so I decided I wanted to eat at this location. I went with a girlfriend I had at the time and said we just wanted to split some fajitas because I try not to eat much you know. Anyway. The waiter was obviously pissed. Probably realized he wasnt gonna get a fat tip and never came back until I got the bill. Had to bug the cleaning staff to get some salsa etc. I hate waiters Ill be honest. But yeah theres this place called Iguana Joes. I like their fajitas a bit better. Your waiters suck.

Drinks are cheap and strong here. The food is good, but slightly overpriced for what you get. I say slightly depending on what you get. If you come here at happy hour though, youre going to get a great deal. Honestly, if you go here during happy hour, get one drink and one app, youll be full from the chips and salsa with it. Also, I dont know if this place is that great to work at, but the staff here is crazy friendly. From the hostess to the bartender, they are super attentive and kind. Worth a great lunch break or early dinner.

This place is anything but "fine Mexican dining" be aware this is along the line of a Chuys. The margarita on the rocks are pre made in large batches with over done sour mix. The limes at the bar are dried out and old, I squeezed and squeezed but next to no juice came out. The salsa is pre portioned out into dishes and sitting out on treys for everyone to see, no telling how long they have been sitting out. If you are going to cut corners and pretend to be better then you are, at least put effort into hiding the short cuts taken.

Ate at this restaurant in Beaumont and enjoyed it. However, this location has horrible salsa and food as well. They try too hard to fit in to the finer dining setting with the high prices and small portions. The nachos for example consisted of 7 chips individually topped with beans and cheese at around $11. As far as the barbacoa, 3 mini tacos with rice for $16. It wasnt the barbacoa your thinking of unless youre thinking pulled pork with sweet barbecue sauce. Bottom line, TexMex isnt meant to be fancy.

My family and I chose this spot after my niece got sworn in for the Navy. We arrived around 3:30 pm so the restaurant was very empty. Our drinks started off bad. Everyone decided to get mango tea...it was not steeped long enough with a weak mango flavor. We all sent them back for soda. My water glass never got refilled from the first glass they brought after I sat down. This was my first time at this location. I really prefer the other locations even though this one has a very nice interior

Dined here on 09/05/2015. The service was very nice for a busy Saturday. The front staff seated us promptly and were very courteous. Leo was our waiter and I have to say he exceeded the standards for customer service. He was very honest and understanding of the complicated orders we made. I want to commend him for putting up with the busy hour and still providing amazing service without losing patience. The food was pretty good and in the end we had a blast.
