We walked in on a Saturday at lunch time. We were the only people in the whole restaurant besides the staff. The A/C was barely on and there were barely any lights on inside. The food was very bland and overpriced. I wanted to like this place I really did but simply put it was awful. I had to use the ladies room while we were there and the lights were off in the little hall between the ladies and the mens room and when I went to wash my hands it felt like the handle may just fall off the sink. I have no idea how these people have stayed in business the last few years but it isnt because of the food.

This has got to be one of the best Mexican restaurants we have been to in a long time ~ and we go to a lot of Mexican restaurants! The food was so delicious we couldnt get it into our mouths fast enough! The owner was very personable and engaging, making us feel like we were guests in his home instead of his work. His son was helping wait tables and he was just as wonderful as his dad. Mom was in the kitchen and she is a such a good cook I cant even find the words to describe how terrific she is! This is our new go-to restaurant for Mexican food!

The food at El Rio is decent. I cannot rave about it or tell you that it is the absolute best anywhere because that would be inaccurate. But it is enjoyable and pretty good. But, the reason I keep going back to El Rio is the proprietor! It is the sweetest family! Dad serves as host, mom cooks and kids help out. They are so hospitable and friendly that soon you feel like you are going to your Mexican friends house for dinner! And they will remember you and welcome you back.

Everything we had was below average. Food at Hectors, Chuys and pretty much any other place in the area is better. The service is amazing. And worth one extra star. I could see this being worth a stop if you are finishing a round of golf or live in the area.

I really like this place. I eat here for lunch a couple times a month and its always good. They have some really spicy salsa thats good. You have to ask for it, otherwise youll get the regular salsa which is also very good

Really nice staff. Tried it twice for that reason. The food is a little below run of the mill. Prices are OK but, I felt like I could a better deal elsewhere. It is off our list.
