If you arent dressed up expect to be treated like sh** .I tip them every time I go in there and it DOES NOT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE. Ive been coming to this place for about 3 years now and I wear pretty normal but not too important looking certainly not scrubs type or designer clothes. The staff treat me like cr**. One lady used to constantly roll her eyes at me when Id walk in because the second time I came there my burrito wasnt rolled right and I asked them to please reroll it (after it had not been rolled well on a previous occasion and I did nothing). I think a burrito actually doesnt taste good when its so loose that you have to chase the food around, eat nothing but tortilla then its all gooped up in the bottom of the foil like its a salad bowl instead. The burrito is 7 dollars and I have always tipped them no matter how rude they have been to me. I finally had to TELL one lady to stop antagonizing me for eating vegetarian because it was beginning to make me really angry. What motivated this nastigram today is that the one chick that usually works the register tried her hand at rolling the burrito and she knew good and well and her coworker did too that it was exploding out the side and actually folding under backwards. She kinda laughed like it was a secret even though I was looking right at her do a terrible job. Could I reach back in the tip jar? This is the service you get at Taco Cabana honestly, burritos that are a sloppy mess and employees who think its funny. Maybe the management doesnt pay them enough? I really honestly feel like I pay 8 bucks a day to be contempted. The dude at the register saw what was going on and thought he was such a genius when he said wow you got so much she had to foil it TWICE. Wrong, it was falling apart and I just got treated like a chump again TODAY at Bodegas.

Terrible never going back. I came here because I saw on Houston Press that they had the best margarita in Houston for 2014. Usually Houston Press doesnt let me down but in this case they did. I never write reviews but I hated it so much that Im doing it this time. If you bought margarita mix and tequila and made a margarita at home yourself it would taste better than the one I bought there. As far as the food is concerned, it wasnt worth the price. They try to do what chipotle does and you tell them if you want tacos nachos or burritos. I got the nachos which they just used store bought nachos that they just dumped In a bowl and were all broken then they they dont use fresh cheeses they used something that looks like it came out of a can and they dont have salsa on the tables you have to ask them to put some on which they charge each time you ask for more salsa. I went with two friends and they got the botana platter which is just a mix of different appetizers that came with wings a quesadilla fried yuca and something else. The wings tasted like something youd get out of a frozen food section out of a grocery store. The fried yuca was the only good thing. But according to my friends the cokes they got from the machine they had there tasted weird. One of them tried to get something else to drink out of the machine and she said it all tasted weird. For my food with the margarita it was $19 and change. Parking sucks because you either have to pay to park in the garage or pay on the street. Lastly i didnt finish my food so I got a togo plate and 1hr later it smelled spoiled I ended up throwing it away. They next morning it stuck up my kitchen in the garbage.

Giving it three and that is simply from the environment, ambiance and strawberry lemonade Fresca! The food was highly mediocre and nearly tasteless. I ordered a burrito with rotisserie chicken and much like chipotle, I moved down the line to select my fillings. I wanted a little bit of queso cheese in the burrito in which the lady behind the counter informed me that that itll be a dollar more. I proceeded to the checkout counter where the cashier asked me if I wanted any of the Frescas or a fountain drink. I asked her what was the price difference if any to which she responded "about $1.50". The fountain drinks were $1.99 and the Fresca was $2.30. Other than the drink, I enjoyed my dining experience but the food is less than incredible.Ingredients werent fresh nor flavorful. $11.10 for a burrito and a drink (thats it)… I couldve went to chipotle or Houstons staple cantina, chachos for better tasting food! All in all, great dining experience. Bring your hot sauce, seasoning, queso… chicken and tortilla. Yea, just eat at home and come for drinks.

A Mexican place where you have to pay extra for your salsa? .50 for one kind in a little plastic so if you want to taste 3 for each of your tacos you pay and extra $1.50 why to bother your clients? Then finally you seat and,oh I forgot my tortillas, well get in line again a pay for your tortillas. When I tried to make understand the people that my food was ready and getting cold, they treat me like an imbecile giving me explanations of the procedure to order, if you forgot to ask for the tortillas o salsa for your tacos you get in line again. Is the owner a cheap person, most be, never there by the way and managed by unprofessionals, the only service that they supposed to provide is giving you the food and they cant do it in good manner. How much is he making for these ridiculous charges? Well it happens to me twice the same, never again there are so much better options nearby, from Hugos, Cuchara, Tpatia, Chaputepec, truck in west Alabama, Chipotles, anything ... and they dont charge you extra for totrillas and salsa for your tacos.

The first time I went the customer service was pretty good And the food was excellent. But their works have bad attitudes really bad attitude like if you ask them anything they just get so rude and bothered. For example I went on a Saturday around 4 or 5 and I ask for nachos "to go" first of all they completely ignored the fact we said to go and put our food in the regular bowls not to bowls. So we was like what but anyways they had I guess a new server and she knew nothing and got our orders so wrong then got a attitude when we asked for a new server to do it over with. So we get to the end to the register I am completely satisfied but the piss poor service and they act like can you just pay and leave basically so we ask about the to go stuff they said do it your self. So I told him I would be written get a bad review. He said were busy so thats why blah blah blah all those excuses we he shouldve just apologized but what ever wont be going back for a while.

Imagine if Chipotle rode the short bus and served maragirtas. Bodegas blasts you out with Pop music at a mind numbing level so you dont notice the mediocrity of their food. Store bought tortillas, everything else was bland and luke warm. Confusing food menu and a terrible interior layout out as well. The service line isnt clearly identified and it snakes its way through the restaurant. Also, youll have to elbow your way though the service line to get to the bathroom, and youll probably smack another person with the door on your way out. The shredded pork was good, but tasted more like pot roast than carnitas. Bodegas has a good location to snare tourists and desperately hungry locals, and youll pay the premium because nothing else is around. Well played, Bodegas, well played.
