A group of us were regulars at Secret Garden for half-price sushi days. We generally had good experiences here. The environment is not great, but it is ok. Its not very well decorated and the tables and chairs are on the cheap end, though still better than most diners. The staff was friendly and the sushi menu was smaller than some other places in the area, but it was still good and the price was right. The only downfall we experienced (which was enough to have kept us away ever since) was when there was a problem with our orders. A couple of us had our food, but the third plate to come out was incorrect. There were about 7 of us altogether. After that third plate was returned, we never saw our server again. We grabbed his attention a couple of times while he was walking by and he kept saying we were next. An hour later, we all left even though only a couple of us had received any food. I think the bottom line is that service is pretty good (though inconsistent in weird ways - today we all get tea, tomorrow maybe they give us all water and if I made any specific requests like, could I get soup after my sushi, then there would be a breakdown) except when something bad happens. Bad fault management. Not a terrible place, but enter at your own risk. I hated to mark Service as 0 because that sounds like abject failure. However, by Googles rating scale, 0 means Poor - Fair, so thats what I picked.

I went here on a recent trip. I cannot state this enough but based on the food I ordered I was completely taken back on how good the food was and the portion size given. I couldnt even finish it all (had to get a box to take back). I had the Hae Mool Pah Jeon (an appetizer that was huge) and Kimchee Je Yook Bok Geum (also huge). This was my first time of eating Korean food but I could tell how the food was fresh and cooked perfectly. I was also given three small sides with the main meal. Also good. Last I had the most amazing tasting desert of fried mochi green tea ice cream. It was so good...almost too good. The place has a decent look. Towards the end I talked to waitress about why I came and how much I liked the food. She smiled and told me about how in Korea Kimchee is eaten with other food regularly. Coming here and then to have Hans market next door to see made this trip special.

Well for one, Bi-Won has such a loyal following that college and medical students from Binghamton drive up regularly to get their fill. Im a local and frequent this place often . . . tons of season, authentic Korean food you cannot get elsewhere such as soondae, som-gyup-sal, som gae tang, and chok bol. Soups are also great. They just recently started tuesday night buffets . . . big hit the first night I went. They actually ran out of food because the Korean calvary got wind of the event.

After living in South Korea for a year, Korean food has become one of my favorites! Coming back to the US, it is difficult to find a restaurant that has such a large menu. From ddeokbokki to kimbap to jap chae, this restaurant is delicious and then options are vast. With a menu page dedicated to vegetarian and vegan options, this worked well for me, too! Add the Korean market and norebang (karaoke) bar in the same plaza, and youve got the makings of a great night!

sushi was pretty good. korean food left a lot to be desired, like the service. we had a large party-9 ppl, there were hardly any other patrons there and they still didnt even have enough menus! our waitress took about 10-15 min to come over to our table after i got there. some of our party was already there even before me. we did have reservations, so they were expecting us, they just didnt care. no drink re-fills. i wasnt the only one disappointed in the meal.

Never imagine there is a such quality Korean food restaurant in such a small town. My wife, my daughter get the favored food. We are on the way from Indianapolis to Boston on July 3rd and many bigger restaurants are closed earlier today or closed but this Korean restaurant remains open till 11:00 pm. Thank you all the staff of this restaurant for your excellent service and good quality food you prepared for us. We will never forget you.

Been here with my Dad twice. The service isnt the best at times, but the food is so good, I cant not give them 5 stars. Try the shrimp tempura appetizer. Its $10, but its ENORMOUS and so delicious. Their specials are always on point as well. Sushi Is also really delicious, though I have yet to come on half priced Mondays or Wednesdays. I would easily say this is the best Japanese/Korean restaurant I have tried in Syracuse.

This is a poor place to get sushi. But their Korean food is great. The staff is a mix. There is one server that if I see we walk out. Basically because that specific server will stand around and ignore all his tables. We actually stop going as often because of one persons bad service (it only takes one).

The menu is authentic Korean; meals are always prepared with fresh ingredients. Nice atmosphere and a great place for lunch or dinner. Service is competent and pleasant every time. As an added bonus, Hans Oriental Market is next door and is a great place to find ingredients for Korean cooking.

Had a few people recommend this place. Glad we stopped. It is terrific. The service was beyond excellent. Quality and quantity of food was awesome. Great place for newbs as well as foodies. Loved the bibim bob served hot with beef, spicy chicken bbq, and cant beat half price bottles of so ju.

One of the tastiest Asian restaurants in the city. They have good vegetarian options, its a little pricey, but they hit every check box. Great for family, business or a nice night out. If youre not into sea food dont be discouraged, they have many great other options such as their good tofu.

My family went there recently during the trip. The food was not bad but one of waitresss service was so disappointed that we were not in bad mood that night. Further, she never smiled and didnt say good bye. I regret taking my parents an sister from home country to there.

Quick, efficient service. Food is always fresh and served immediately after cooking (Ive never had food this piping hot before). Even the most basic items are delicious. Bit pricey for a college student to go to too often, though. And yes, they WILL remember how you tip.

Good food and great prices. I like their sushi and noodle dishes. The only thing is the sushi rice is consistently warm and its typically supposed to be cold, and some of the wait staff arent the best at service, but they are all always friendly

The service is abysmal, almost comedic. Its like the entire staff takes pleasure in making you wait, not bringing water, forgetting things that you ordered, etc. The food is above average, and sometimes fantastic. The menu is vast and legit.

The food is great, everything is freshly made and good size portions. The service is ok, everyone kind of tag teams your table but no one seems to focus on it which makes them miss the little things. All in all a great syracuse restaurant.
