My husband and I went for lunch yesterday,needless to say it was not a good experience. First off we check in with the hostess. There was a group before us wanting an outside table for 4, hostess checked but they only had a table for 2. So the group said they would wait for a table for 4. Then she addressed us when we request the table for 2 outside she informed us we could not have that table because the group before us was waiting for a table for 4. Makes absolutely no sense to me. Settled for booth inside. After placing our order my husband is trying to calm me down we received our drink order I notice 2 of the hostesses standing at their station talking. I noticed the hostess with long dark hair looking in the direction of where we were sitting. She commented to the other hostess wearing her hair in a bun on top of her head that I was looking their direction. The one with the bun comments Shes just an ass hole. She better thank her lucky stars I had my husband was sitting on the outside of the booth. Our waitress noticed I had finished my drink and asked if I would like another BlackBerry Collins,I responded yes. Upon receiving my second drink it was not like my first drink. Not only was the garish not on the drink but it was much stronger. I was adding water to my drink just to be able to drink it. Can you say consistency. No matter who is the bartender a drink should be made the same each and every time. After this last experience I told my husband that he could eat there for lunch during the week but I refuse to go back again. Our waitress was excellent but that hostess with the bun needs to be taught how to be a proper hostess. And the next time she calls a paying customer an ass hole she better be sure the guest can not see her and can read lips. I have noticed over time that the service has declined over time, but we continued to return at least once every weekend. But after yesterday I will not be returning again.

Went in last night with my girlfriend and her sister. Hostess was amazing, sat us instantly. Our server came up to us to take our drink order after five minutes of waiting, no complaint, I get it. What did bother me was that our server came up to us, squatted down at our table, and then Said "Hey guys Im really busy Ill come back and take your drink order in a minute, let me bring you waters" and never returned. He finally gave us our drinks. We got them down pretty fast so we wait for a refill. After another ten minutes passed, he came back, refilled our drinks and then disappeared AGAIN!! they sat another couple tables in our section and he served them more than he visited our table. We got an appetizer and before we even finished it, he came and took it from us. It took forever to come refill our drinks, he refilled the wrong cups with the wrong drinks. Maybe it was because we looked young and he thought we wouldnt tip or what, but we were all nice to him with our pleases and thank yous, and he just didnt look or talk to us, but then would go talk to all his other tables. Food was great, dont get me wrong, but the service was the worst Ive ever had.

Food OK, service not so much. Yes its a holiday weekend. There are currently people sitting at 5 tables inside, 3 or 4 outside, and lots of people in uniform. Less than half full. Half the taps are out. But the waitress doesnt know which half so you have to get up and look. Pick one from the working side, and sorry, were out of that one. When you ask if something is on happy hour, and told no but find out that it is --- well, that table topper is new, and she didnt know. One person ordered a flat bread pizza --- sauce, cheese and toppings not evenly distributed. One person ordered cheeseburger and asked for blue cheese instead of Swiss, cheddar or American. So little cheese it couldnt be tasted. We would have paid extra for the substitution. Tried to get waitress attention to request more ---- that never happened. Zero customer service skills. A well drink is $3, so if you order a double its $6.29, and when you ask about it, you get an eye roll, and an explanation, after waitress talks to manager, that its alcohol tax. I guess if you treat tourists badly who cares, right? They arent coming back anyway. Oh wait ---- I live here.

Generally speaking, anyplace that emphasizes the beer selection and method of beer delivery (tap, can, mug) in front of the food selection (Get you a menu?) is not the place to get a good meal. Unless there fortuitously happens to be a good chef/sous in the back. Sadly it was not so on the day we went to the Brick House Tavern and Tap (firstly) and Grill (lastly). While the atmosphere (sports bar) is homey (gas fireplace) and the service is top notch (ours anyway), the touted house cheeseburger is noteworthy only for its size and shape (brick). Poor quality ground chuck, flat yellow po-boy bun and sparse dress showed up on our plates with the dried, shoestring fries, The tea mix was a tea mix. I think no one brews tea any longer. The meal certainly wasnt worth the trip to Galveston, and if we had been in Galveston, it would not have been worth the effort to get there. Before you go, consider other burger sources. Ours wasnt bad, it just wasnt good, and for $30, 2 burgers and 2 teas, I wont be going back, private motorcycle parking or no.

Great atmosphere. Bartenders were nice. Good food. With the exception of the size of the kids Mac n cheese. It was the size of a small side dish. Waitress Abby and management need help. Awful service. Abby acted as if waiting on us was an inconvenience. Once we were finally provided our bill of $66 I gave her my credit card. She brought back a charge of $79. Was not sure why the extra $ called a manager who stated it was for drinks from the bar. We thought we had already paid for. This is not how you handle things. If there was a chnge in what I was being charged it would of been nice to be told. Which I discussed with him. However he did not care. No tip was left. The next day I had 3 charges on my card from this restaurant. One went through the others were there just to tie up my funds. Very dissatisfied.

We normally enjoy our experience dining here but on this occasion we were sat in a fly infested window seat right as the sun was hitting the table. Noted- this place was not at all busy- It took us 20 minutes to get a hello from anyone once we sat down, after plenty of servers had passed us by. It then took another 20 minutes to get a beer from the bar and before the drink hit the table the server was running away before asking us if we wanted an appetizer. We ordered our food to go so we wouldnt have to sit through anymore terrible service. Meanwhile, the table that sat behind us about 40 minutes into our stay had already gotten there food and finished by the time we got the fries we ordered when we sat down for our 2 year old. Worst experience ever and we will not be returning to this location.
