The building itself is alright. There are a couple of nice touches in the dining area that give u the asthetic you are looking for without overcomplicating it. This is one of the many sushi outlets in Springfield Missouri that have a comparable quality of food. What sets this place apart is the phenomenal waiting staff that attend to everything right the first time, and go the extra mile to put a smile on your face. My favorite meal here is a $70-80 meal for two. Start off with stuffed mushrooms and sweet eel sauce. Then comes the sushi usually salmon and tuna. Then three rolls namely, snowflake (not on menu yet), sea monster, and the h3. These are complimented by more eel sauce and spicy mayo. The hot tea is bagged, but as a lover of tea for years Ill say I didnt notice the difference. Their teas flavor will make up for the unsightly bag. All in all its a great little place to show your friends a night out, and you owe it to yourself to visit again and again. I love coming to mijuri and will return again and again.

We have been eating here (or getting take out) from here for years. Unlike the angry comment below, the staff and owners have always been exceptionally polite and courteous! As well, the food has been excellent each time. Most places do not allow doubling up on (nor tripling up on) coupons in a single party. That is fairly standard in the restaurant industry having run several higher end restaurants. Ive used Groupons several times, personally, and have never read any policy stating that a restaurant owner must accept multiple Groupons from a single party. If there is confusion, seems to me the reasonable thing to do would be to get in touch with Groupon and have them reach out to the restaurant rather than stating that someone should be put out of business for a misunderstanding. Bit on the psycho-pissy-upset overboard side, to be frank. That being said... this restaurant is a good solid place to dine in a sea of mediocre restaurants here in SGF. Keep moving forward!

If I could give zero stars I would. I went to Mijuri with my father and my boyfriend 2 or 3 days ago. We arrived for lunch and were told that we were 5 minutes late to dine in and would have to carry out. There were 3 other people still ordering and eating, but it would not be possible for us to dine in because we were literally FIVE minutes late. So we decided to order 3 hand rolls to go... and they were the worst sushi rolls any of us had ever eaten. The nori was chewy and soggy, the spicy tuna was an awful texture and not even remotely spicy, and they used slimy avocados. No cucumber, no radish greens, no crunch. This was the worst service and worst quality of food I have ever received in Springfield, MO.

We ate on a Sunday night. We had three rolls, tamagoyaki, and vegetable noodles for thirty dollars before tip. The rolls were pretty good, they were thinner than others I have ate, but gave more than the eight pieces written on the menu. The rolls had a higher meat to rice ratio than other places, and tasted slightly sweet. One of the rolls we ordered said extremely spicy sauce, but didnt taste hot. The vegetable noodles had a very good flavor. The prices were better than most other sushi places around. The next time we try it we will definitely try some of their other items along with sushi since the noodles were so good.

Not the fanciest place in town but the value for the quality of sushi rolls you receive cant be beaten. The customer service is always top notch (I have yet to have a water it waitress that hasnt done an excellent job). It may not be the super romantic atmosphere a lot of the other sushi restaurants in town try to achieve, but it is no hole in the wall either. The facility is simple, moderately decorated, and always clean. The sushi rolls hear are well portioned and priced for the quality. I havent been able to find another place in turn that can match them.

So we finally decided to try this place out for dinner...and we cant believe it took us so long! The food was amazing, the service was wonderful, and we were in and out in no time. We definitely recommend the tyson roll - first time Ive eaten sushi with chicken! and we also had the hurricane roll, spicy tuna, and the dynamite roll, which were all delish and had the perfect amount of spicy-ness. Prices werent bad and you get more pieces per roll than other places in town. Try it, youll be glad you did!!

Came in for my brothers birthday dinner. While receiving the bill, we offered our groupon for $100 off of the $160 meal. There where eight people at the dinner. we had 3 groupons and the owner told us that we couldnt use the groupon and tried to make up his own rules on what he would accept. He spoke perfect English till it came to the discount. "The reason for not accepting the discount was because there was more then 2 used in one group but groupon didnt specify a limit.

Clean restaurant and VERY friendly staff. No long wait. Very casual and the prices were amazing. I love going here for lunch (they also serve dinner). I usually pick three different sushi rolls (18 PCS) and that comes with a drink and several sides. I am more than full and everything is fresh and well prepared . My total bill is about $11.00 for lunch not including tip. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This was just terrible. Ordered the seaweed salad and chirashi bowl. Should have turned it away as soon as I spotted the salmon falling apart and the escolar (known to cause oily anal leakage) but I was hungry. Even the rice at the bottom tasted off and smelled weird. This may be the worst sushi Ive ever had and anyone saying otherwise is either lieing or ordered nothing but California rolls.

Easily the best sushi place in Springfield. If your main course is going to be sushi then this place is definitely the place to go. I have not tried any of the normal menu items, but I definitely enjoy 40-80 pieces of sushi when I go. The prices seem pretty high, but you get 10 pieces of sushi per roll instead of 6. My favorite rolls of theirs is the Samurai Roll; its a must try!

Almost always the best sushi in town. Only beaten by Kai on battlefield which is way too expensive. So I recommend Mijuri, the Bento boxes are huge, lunch specials very good, and they have something for everyones taste. The ramen bowls, sukiyaki, and tempura are always good choices for people who want quality food but not sushi, and the sushi is aalllll good!

Were passing thru Springfield and detoured from I-44 based on reviews. Was well worth the extra time. Some of the best sushi we have had anywhere, and at great prices. Service was a tad bit slow but likely due to coming in towards end of lunch rush. Dont be put off by the somewhat downtrodden outside appearence, everything inside was clean and modern.

Great Sushi! Tyson roll (left side) was delicious! It has tempura chicken, crab stick, cream cheese, avocado. Sea Monster roll (right side) contains fried lobster, crab stick, Avocado topped with shrimp tempura, potato crunch with eel sauce and sweet mayo. Both are excellent choices of try in the dark, quiet atmosphere.
