Went in and the waitress was on the phone. We waited while she tried to get our set up one handed. Due to slow service before I informed her we were on our lunch break and ask if it would be a problem to get our lunch quickly. She stated they have a new staff and would not take long. We ordered. After a few minutes the chef came over to our table and introduced himself and proceeds to tell me he would appreciate me not yelling at the server. Myself and my guest were taken by surprise as I had not yelled just ask her a question. He continued to be rude so we cancelled our order and left. Unfortunately I left my jacket and will have to go back and see these rude people. Highly recommend you go somewhere else.

Two stars for good food. Terrible terrible service, they had to comp our food. No servers, down a chef, and it seems like no one did any side work (no sugar, no silverware, no salt or pepper). The manager was taking orders and running food. She was unapologetic and didnt try to make her guests happy. Unless she was bring out food, she spent most of the time in the back. The only one saving face was the chef who started running food too. A few of the guests served themselves (water, coffee, silverware, etc) and a few just walked out (including a party of 15). After reading all the great reviews Im really really shocked. Sorry, but we will not be returning.

My family and I were extremely to excited to go to the library since its new to our neighborhood. When we arrived we stood for several minutes and retrieved our own menus. After being seated we waited about 10mins for our order to be taken. We sat for over 30mins without beverages and no further engagement from the one employee working. The cafe wasnt full of patrons so we were taken back by the slow service. My family decided to leave and drive across town to Madeas where we were greeted, served and seated in less than 10mins. So disappointed in the library. Its a no go for us. We wont return.

Great ambiance, with some light playing music. We were almost eating alone so the service was good. The tables were clean and general restaurant looked clean. Food arrived fast and hot. They were not serving a complete menu but it was understandable being the holiday period they were about to be closed for a couple of days. Everything was tasty and authentic but admittedly I have had better but not by much. This was an awesome dining experience.

This place is off the beaten path but worth the stop. Dinner and service was very good. Not super fast but great experience. Quaint cafe with great ambiance for a nice intimate dinner. Price point is very reasonable. I had fish tacos that were delightful! Friends had Kobe beef hamburgers that looked amazing. The tomato basil soup was thick, fresh and full of flavor. I only regret not getting a bigger bowl. More please !

The food is delicious - Ive really liked everything Ive tried: Gerts bean pot soup (with cornbread, slightly sweet), fish tacos, grilled tilapia, hamburger... I am hoping to eventually try everything on the menu!

Great food, friendly service, and a relaxing atmosphere is exactly what I want when I take a break for lunch and The Library Cafe sure hits the mark! I love the tomato bisque soup and the Kobe burger!

Food was great. Price was better. I did a call in to-go order as soon as they opened at 11am. Didnt actually have my food ready till 12:15 as which point my lunch hour was almost over.

Nice atmosphere, pleasant server but the food was kind of so-so. Took over an hour to receive our order and to be honest wasnt worth the wait. Doubtful Ill return.
