I went for breakfast after listening to my wife rave about Sunny Street Cafe. Everything about this restaurant was good. Actually, it was great. I ordered coffee and water before ordering my food. I was expecting your every day, run of the mill cafe coffee, which is rarely a great cup of joe, but this coffee was a really good coffee. Not too strong, not too bitter. It was a very well balanced brew with a very light floral and even lighter chocolate tone. For breakfast I ordered what they called a Low Country Benedict. Its buttermilk biscuits, pimento cheese and hand-breaded fried chicken topped off with two poached eggs and sausage gravy. I was a little concerned that the pimento cheese would over power everything else, but, surprisingly, it blended very well. Congratulations, Sunny Street Cafe! Your Low Country Benedict has dethroned the Lonesome Rancheros at the Lonesome Spur as my new favorite breakfast meal in the Dallas/Fort Worth area!

Today is July 11, 2017 Time is 0940 am Only gave 4 stars because I couldnt give 3.5. wife and I had been here before and enjoyed coming here for breakfast. Wifes breakfast was good as always, my breakfast was ok but they forgot the sauce...I got the skillet breakfast and it was tasty but would have been better if it had sauce. But the reason Im here is our service was less than satisfactory. Had my waitress been more attentive to her customers she might have known that my plate wasnt quite right and I wouldnt be here.

This is definitely not a restaurant I will ever be visiting again. My whole plate of food was cold and none of it really tasted good especially the tough "famous pancakes." The server was not friendly she got our drinks and never refilled them the entire time, my husband had to ask another server just to get him some more sweet tea which he brought him unsweet. Definitely the worst 28 dollars I have ever spent. Save yourself the trip and go to Ihop or just cook at home.

My second time at this place very close to home,and was thinking to make it my breakfast place,first time with my daughter the give us the table and the waiter went 1 time only,to take the order that was it,he never go back not even to give us the ticket,this time went with my friend same thing,looks like they dont like other than white people, I recommend that you put a sign on the door,"whites only" that way another people like me dont waste their money with you.

Out of town for the holidays and looking for breakfast Google brought us here. At first glance it looks like a chain but much to our delight it didnt taste like it. Biscuits and sausage gravy were giant, fluffy and were damn good. I ordered the eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and pancakes. Everything was delicious but the pancakes were like buckwheat, not my thing. Our waiter was fast, friendly and very helpful. A definite must go!

I love this place. My husband brought me here when we first started dating 4 years ago. We come back as often as we can. I love that they have corned beef hash. I dont know of any other restaurant in the area that does. I have tried the stuffed biscuits and gravy; pretty good and filling. I most recently had the smothered hash-browns. It was great! I highly recommend this place if you like home cooking.

The biscuits and gravy were outstanding. The coffee was hot and not bitter. The bananas foster pancakes were delicious. The eggs over medium were actually over medium which was a nice surprise. We also had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and ham. All of it delicious. The servers were also attentive and did a nice job taking care of us. Will definitely return.

Found a hair in my food and they still wanted to charge me full price and they didnt rpeace what was ruined. The owner wasnt available and they thought it was fair for me to pay full price. They didnt apologize. They just acted as if it was my fault. We had eaten there almost once a week for a long time. I will no longer go there.

Great place for breakfast. Wait staff is friendly and attentive and the food is served fairly quickly. My wife and I stumbled across this place and have never regretted it one bit. Highly recommended if you want some simple and quick breakfast options. Also pancakes are pretty big so its best to only order one per person.

Good people and service........ but I came for the food, so Im rating the food. They need to spend a little more money and get a real chef or at least a decent cook. Ive tried multiple dishes and its always very bland. Any thing that doesnt already have flavor will remain tasteless. No seasoning... just..... blah

My waitress would talk to another employee almost the entire time we were there. SO LOUD it was annoying. Complaining about her life at home and other employees. Never checked to see if the food was good. Not polite maybe even like we were bothering her. WILL NEVER GO BACK

Solid breakfast joint, though a touch pricier than similar options in the area. Best country fried steak Ive had in the neighborhood. Servers were courteous and attentive. A decent option, if youre in this neck of the woods, but ultimately, nothing to write home about.

Typical brunch type of place. Great service and plenty of seating. Breakfast/lunch meals. Good options and prices. I wasnt a huge fan of my omelette, but everyone else enjoyed their food. Tried it on a whim and overall, its a good joint. Servers are quick and attentive.

As a rule, I never eat at places that I service. I see the behind the scenes and usually it is not a pleasant experience. However, I always eat here after my work is completed. FYI, the ice maker is cleaned and sanitized on a regular basis.

Good solid breakfast choices. Outdoor patio seating available. Pancakes are large but you can customize your order. Big bite breakfast is my go to. Consistently good and we visit a couple times a month.

Good food, service is always good, many servers have been here for a while. Lunch is good, breakfast is great. This is a go to place for us. The eggs benedict are magic.
