We stopped in to Lunas for a late lunch this weekend. I ordered their pasta diablo and my partner ordered the carbonara. We also ordered cocktails. My partners melon margarita was served in a salted pint glass. Ive had a few margaritas in my time and only in the least desirable places have I been served a margarita in a pint glass (plastic cup for equally professional consideration). Lunas has a full bar BTW. Im not sure what theyre thinking. On to the pasta. My diablo was delicious. Im used to this dish served with standard penne and a healthy amount of spicy sauce. Lunas recipe doesnt offer much sauce and it packs a skinny version of penne. Thats not to knock their dish. It works and Id order it again. Their carabonara, on the other hand, did not meet the mark. By that I mean, what they serve does not meet the definition of what carabonara is suppose to be. The dish certainly does have some variations depending on where you go but Luna pushes that boundary beyond an acceptable format for the title. Luna serves a plate of macaroni with peas and mushrooms for their version of carabonara. Its not way off the mark, but I dont think it should be called carabonara. Its an okay dish. They serve it a little on the spicy side. But they should consider calling it something else. Like what it is: macaroni with peas and mushrooms! In the end, the manager didnt charge us for the dish. The service was polite, professional, and courteous. The interior is stylish and comfortable and it looked like they have outdoor patio seating for when it gets warmer. Id like to stop over again for some cocktails and appetizers on a warm sunny afternoon.

Food was decent. Nothing special, nothing bad. Service was good. Our waitress was on top of things, so kudos to her. Atmosphere - We had a large group, so we reserved the back enclosed dining area. It made me feel like a cheap burger at McDonalds, as they have these heat lamps in the ceiling that emit unnecessarily large amounts of heat. The room was very stuffy, uncomfortable, and overly bright (light) at first. To their credit, they remedied the problem upon request, but who heats up a room that hot and thinks its acceptable? Ill assume someone just forgot to dim the heat lamps before we arrived. The main part of the restaurant was better, but I thought it was a bit noisy for a place that seems to communicate by their decor and marketing image that they are a more intimate eatery. I wouldnt want to try to hold an intimate conversation with my wife in their main dining room. Value - Decent. I got a nice, large burger (I know, I know...its not meant to be a "burger joint") at a reasonable rate, though I was left wanting more fries. Menu - Nice variety. I could bring my kids here and know their picky tastes would be met despite this being a "hoity toity" upscale bistro (hence the burger offering on the menu). I would go back to try one of their salads, just not with a large group so I wouldnt have to be in that back room again.

A great catering experience! Matteo (owner), Ali (manager) and Trevor (server) did a fabulous job on catering our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception. We were able to meet several times to go over everything and taste the various dishes. They were always helpful and responsive during the entire process. During the day of the events Trevor was on time and well prepared. His arrival and departures were smooth and seamless. He attended to all of our guests and made sure everyone was happy despite the fact they were buffet style dinners. Ali assisted in coordinating everything and Matteo ensured the food was prepared to perfection. I strongly recommend Bella Luna for catering, they had their process down to a science and were very passionate about it. All of our guests made great comments about the food and service, which for a wedding can be a challenge! Thanks again for making our night memorable!

today I wanted to try something new so my mother, I and, my little brother went to eat at Bella Lunas cafe. my first impression was loud, and a open place with live music. we were quickly seated and ordered hummus and it took nearly 25 minutes to get it to us and was terrible. i had a steak shawarma with fries, my brother and mother had the fattoush salad. about 45 minutes into the visit are food arrived, the salad was Good very flavorful. The shawarma however was terrible. if you like tomatoes, olive oil, and pita bread you should get it, there was hardly any meat. the service was good but had bad attitudes. if you want a better value for your money go to Adrianas across the street by best buy. and if you havent noticed some random Google user gave 5 star reviews without writing a single word.

Im not sure about the other review referencing the Pasta Carbonara, but I wanted to add my two-cents by saying its my favorite dish at Bella Luna and I love the flavor. Im not familiar with Mediterranean cuisine so perhaps it varies from a "normal" carbonara dish, but it tastes delicious nonetheless. I didnt find it spicy at all. Only thing I would change is for them to add more sauce because its a tiny bit dry every now and then, & the sauce is the best part! (And by the way, it doesnt include "macaroni" as another review suggests. Maybe they were out of their normal pasta for the day but I went just yesterday and its always been "Cellentini" shape/type.)

Ive been to several of the Bella Luna locations, and the one at 21st and Rock is by far my favorite. Yes, the menus are the same, but the people arent. Ive been to this location with my son and friends. Weve always had great service and good food. (My favorite is the greek salad, but my son loves the meditteranean chicken pizza -- which, I have to admit is a close second on my list, too. But, Ive also had one of their wraps that was wonderful.) Most of the portions are way more than I can eat, which almost always means yummy leftovers. The atmosphere is a bit noisy, but fine if youre not needing a lot of intimacy.

BAD SERVICE!! We called Bella Luna the 2nd week in November to book a Christmas Party for December 14th. We received a call today 11/29/2013 from the restaurant informing us that they had already booked the room and they were cancelling our reservation but would let us eat in the dining area...really? I am sure this had nothing to do with the fact that we had a small party of 12 and the room would accommodate over 20... The café had weeks to notify us but waited until now. Thanks Bella Luna for leaving us with no place to go on Christmas

This Bella Luna is the most romantic of the three Wichita locations. It may be in a shopping center, but you wouldnt know that once inside. The atmosphere is wonderful and ambient as to be expected from the Bella Luna restraunts. The staff are quick to cater and know their menus inside and out. A great place for a business dinner/lunch or a longer and more romantic getaway, this is the eatery and the location for that!
