Consistently good, basic southern breakfast and lunch. Family owned for years, The Bluebonnet Cafe has been a tradition for our family almost as long. Theres always something we missed on the walls. Each area has its theme, from Coca Cola and I Love Lucy, to Movie Stars and Southern Kitchen ware. We can always count on the food being fresh and well prepared. I enjoy the bacon & eggs, while my wife gets the Migas. The grits arent the best, but the bacon is thick and crispy. My wife is constantly amazed by how clean the place is kept. Even with all of the wall decorations, theres never a speck of dust. The floors and tables are always clean, without that greasy, cafe film found in many places. Saturday mornings is a very busy time, but the service moves well.

Eh. I always try chicken fried steak at home cooking joints so as to test them against each other. This fried chicken wouldnt surprise me if it was pre-frozen. Not sure, but the fact I couldnt tell if it was fresh or not was one negative. The batter / meat ratio was horrible. Taste was not that great, ended up scraping most of the batter off. Salad was drowned in dressing. And I like dressing but couldnt do it. Pretty sure the corn was dumped straight out of a store bought can. Not even heated right. Hot is fine, cold is good too - but some weird odd temperature in between is not. The french fries were awesome though. Really good fries.

Went in 3 times to give it fair chance and every time it was awful. The vegetables are out of a can. The bacon comes out and seems that its been sitting already pre cooked before hand. The place is great to look at and all the dining rooms are neat but the food is awful. Seems that there was a time when it was a great place for breakfast and lunch. The cooking is sloppy. If you are going to post on your windows best "pot roast and burgers in town" you better come through. You have lost my business.

It is amazing how a cafe like this can go from great to crappy in such a short period of time. It used to be a wonderful place to eat. Now it is just big portions of crappy food. I ate breakfast there today for the last time. The scrambled eggs were runny and under cooked. The gravy was cold and the bacon for like shoe leather. The last time I was there it was bad too, but real busy so I thought i would try again. This is the LAST TIME I am going there & this time I mean it!.

This restaurant is awesome place to eat the biscuit and gravy and the chicken fried steak plate is so good. And lunch is awesome also. The atmosphere is awesome I love Lucy stuff in one room, Coca Cola in other room, and old timey stuff in 3rd room. I love this place, the staff is so friendly. The food is so affordable. Thank you I will be back soon to enjoy the food and atmosphere. Thanks Doug eby

Portions are giant, I couldnt finish my omelette which was delicious, btw. The French toast is delicious, I ordered it plain with sliced strawberries and whipped cream. Homemade biscuits and creamy gravy. Yum! Waffles are nice and crispy, wish they offered hot chocolate made with milk, not water, and butter instead of margarine. Other than that, a good place to get nice, comfort style breakfast.

I always thought this was a dive cause I would drive by after work and see about 15 or so ominous looking vatos playing handball playing loud music until one day a friend invited me and Ive been hooked ever since. best breakfast in town, nay, best breakfast in tarrant county. although sometimes the customers are asinine at times

The staff was friendly, the food was fantastic! You get your moneys worth in food here, they pile up the plate. The biscuits are huge! And the decor - I was hardly at my table until my food came...this place could be a antique store! There is thousands of Luci & Desi memoribilia as well as Coca-Cola stuff. Its great!!

One of the top hole in the wall breakfast places in the DFW area. They make a "sticky bun" only Saturdays. It must be the best sticky cinnamon roll on the planet. I have never had one this good. I will order a dozen and bring to work to blow everyones mind on how good they are. Dean

Hometown Cafe Great food with daily specials (I love Mondays chicken pot pie). The waitresses are friendly and attentive. Many regular customers come for breakfast and lunch. The best thing about this place is they all become your friends - the employees and the regular customers.

The Bluebonnet Cafe is the best place to eat in town regardless of what time of day or how far you have to drive. Period. EVERYthing is done just like gramma wudda done! the Bluebonnet Cafe takes "heart attack on a plate" to a whole new level of scrumptiousness!

Great food. Fast service. Friendly staff. Been going to Blue Bonnet for 9 years and everything still taste as good as the first day. The pancake is a must & their daily specials are always a good choice. You cant go wrong with any items on the menu.

One of the best omelettes ive ever had with some big and great homemade biscuits with gravy with great wait staff. Never had below half a cup of coffee or water. I absolutely love this place and will be definitely coming back again and again.

This place is top notch for breakfast and lunch. The chicken fried steak is very good. Service is always friendly. Prices are also great. I had Chicken Fried Steak, two eggs, hash browns, and biscuits & gravy for under $8.

Homemade tasting food, excellent customer service. I always come here at least 2 to three times a month. Love that they are a small mom and pop restaurant, so supporting local small businesses is important.

Fantastic food, and great value. My new favorite place - I go once, and sometimes twice a week. The décor is a bit overwhelming - almost every inch of wall is covered. This place is always busy
