My family and I love OTB! It is seriously our fave! Well...in Wichita Falls anyways. Visited the OTB in Denton, Tx @ 2829 S. Interstate 35E this evening and will never return here again. So yes we are particular people who make changes to the menu options. My husband asked the server if he could get nachos with lettuce and tomatoes and she said yes so he ordered it. 1 child ordered child tacos. The server seemed pleasant and accommodating. We were never rude and smiled every time she returned to the table. We used manners and said please and thank you. My husbands order came out without the things he requested and had to be returned to the kitchen. When it came back out it had jalapeño slices with carrots!! Eww. Our other child ordered kids nachos (cheese only) and that came out with meat and beans (we all know how picky kids can be) and had to be returned as well. I got a 2 sauce burrito with shredded beef and it came out with both sauces mixed instead of 1 side with 1 sauce and vice versa. I didnt complain about that or the fact that the meat inside was hard as a rock and could barely be chewed. I had 3 bites and called it quits. The taco meat on 2 of the plates tasted funny. Seriously had a sweet taste to it! We didnt say anything until she ran our card for payment. We didnt want anyone thinking that they needed to alter our ticket. So we tell the server about the meat tasting funny and she got defensive. We just thanked her and went to use the restroom before we left. And yes...we tipped! 11%. She looks straight at us, rolled her eyes, snarled her lips and then turned her head away from us. So rude. So Virginia, thanks for crappie ending to the crappyear meal. Should have went ahead and drove back home to Wichita Falls to eat at their amazing establishment! Never had a bad experience there in 6 years!

I visited the restaurant on a Sunday eveningevening; with family members who came in from out of town. I was completely embarrassed that I suggested this restaurant to take my beloved family to. Our waitress had no knowledge of the menu or how to take an order. I had to remove our empty glasses and and plates off the table due to lack of bussing. My food and my fathers food came out cold; we ordered fajitas. When I asked for it to be warmed up I was brought back a plate that was so hot the beans were actually bubbling. I found some mystery substance in my beans. My coffee cup arrived with the last patrons red lipstick marks on the rim. Completely disgusting; makes me wonder if the other dishware is clean. None of us received drink refills. My daughter asked for more water twice to no avail I had to give her bottled water from my purse. Was a very slow Sunday evening no excuse for such lack of service or lack of food quality.

Like most On The Borders around town. The better the staff, the better your experience will be. The bar staff at this location are really good, fast and take care of their customers. You get free unlimited chips and salsa with all On the Borders. Love the queso. They let you make it the way you want. I make mine with ground beef, bacon and three alarm peppers. Yummy!! The best time to go is Happy Hour. One of the better ones around. They have two different times, 3PM - 7PM Mon- Fri and again 9PM - 11PM Sun - Thur. During Happy Hour you can get a lot of different drinks for discounted price. I like the discounted appetizers you can get at the bar during happy hour. You get a cheaper and smaller size which is nice since most of the appetizers are too much food anyway. I love the stuffed jalapenos, empanadas, corn quesadilla, beef mini tacos, flautas, mini chimichangas and the cantina nachos.

I asked the server how they were doing and told him he looked tired. He then replied rudely that “you don’t say that to people" I then replied that I didn’t mean to be rude it just seemed that he worked a lot. He then said he did but you just don’t say that to people. He kept repeating that line as if I had told him some horrible thing. He embarrassed me in front of my friend and it upset me greatly. I was merely trying to be polite. I cannot express enough how disappointed I was with the treatment I received. I don’t get very many days off, I take five classes and work. I came to on the border hoping for a relaxing evening with my friend, that I haven’t seen in a long time. I wish I wouldn’t have left him a tip and I wish I would’ve told someone in management about this, However, I was so flustered by the whole thing that I left in a trance. I will not be returning. The servers name is JOSEF.

My girlfriends and I (3 of us) went there this evening...one word DISAPPOINTED. There were about a million host at the front and not a single one of them knew what they were doing. We were sat and about ten minutes later our waiter came and apologized because they had ran out of chips. We also asked about their drink specials and he had no idea. We order guacamole for $6.49 in which came our to be about a 1/2 cup. We asked if this was the appetizer portion and he confirmed it was! What a rip off. No flavor and we made double what we would at another Mexican place. The drinks from the bar were really good. Thats about the only plus. The food was just okay. We got soft tacos and the shells were hard like they had been over cooked. Not to mention it wasnt busy but took forever. Overall we wont be coming back. What a waste of money and time.

Disgusting problems on two occasions. First visit we had cold beans and a hard object in the meat...as well as dirty utensils and plates. Second visit, had dirty utensils again, and a dirty cup. Hostess that seated us on the second visit was extremely rude...seating us next to the bathroom and made a disgusting comment as we ate....she needs a five-fingered lesson in manners, because her boss didnt seem to care. I also heard from a friend after our visits, that he had a totally different problem here....as well as a dirty plate. Why? Weve had enough, this will be our last visit to this restaurant.

Lower quality food than I expected. Almost like fast food. Dirty silverware and dishes, GREAT server (Taylor? I think). Uncomfortable seating. Wood chairs with no cushion and light cushion in booths. Chips and queso was FANTASTIC, even better than the meal! The lettuce with the beans in the photo suggests an unclean prep area..considering there was no lettuce involved with the street tacos I ordered, plus the fact that there were only 2 other tables with customers. Generally disappointing, but Ill return some day/year.

The food was cooked well but there must have been a few servers who called out because our waiter had to attend to too many tables. At one point he yelled across the restaurant to have someone help him take an order at one table because he was taking an order for another. He also didnt refill our drinks until we asked him if there was anyone who could. This is all happening while, Im assuming, the manager is just standing in the back of the restaurant watching.
