Went there for lunch the place is half empty and while waiting for our food a family with kids is seated two feet form use on the same set of tables. There were ten other empty tables just in the fountain section we were in. When we asked the general manager for a different table she got angry with us and long story short within two sentences with me we were kicked out and told never to come back by this woman. Just to clarify in those two sentences I never rose my voice called her anything at all and never cused. We just said we didnt want to stay if she was going to treat us like dirt and we werent going to pay for the pops we only drank half of. Well atfter she started to threaten the cops on me i agreed to pay for my half finished pop. And she then told me to have more respect to her and told me to pay for our pops get out and not come back. All I can say is our waitress and the hostess were helpful and did their best one of the other managers tried to smooth things over at the register while I was waiting for the bill. Then this general manager came back for round two and told me I couldnt talk to these other people and I was supposed to be getting out of her place. So I guess its eat there at your own risk just dont have any problems or you will get threatened and banished by this manager. I mean in my nearly 40 years of life I have never had someone get so mad at me for so little.

I had a real taste for Mexican and saw Paradise was in walking distance of the hotel. I waited until after the dinner rush, but there were still quite a few dinners and dinners coming in, so I felt like it was a good choice. With the dim lighting it took awhile to see that the place either had a major rush earlier or the cleaning staff wasnt attentive. Sadly it turned out to be the later. The menu was quickly given and my order was quickly taken by a pleasant waiter. When the server came with my dish, he gave the standard "be careful of the hot plate" line. He was in error. Neither the plate nor the food was hot. So I sent it back. The waiter was properly apologetic, so I figure anyone can have a bad plate. The second attempt had the same cold food. I was about to leave, but the waiter seemed to care. The third dish came via the manager (? she never did introduce herself), who tried to explain that flat top cooking wont be as hot as other dishes and the plates arent heated. I told her that the food was cold, the caramelized onions, rice, meat and the beans were the same temp as the salad. Ive never had a manager argue with me about if a dish - let alone two dishes - were not properly served. At least this third time the food was hot and well seasoned. I think next time Ill walk in the other direction to Taco Bell.

First off. We usually LOVE Paradiso. Its enjoyable Tex-Mex. The food itself is great...when the timing and service is on. Let me take you on our journey. Our first basket of chips was filled with the broken bottom of the barrel chips. No bueno! We ate the larger pieces and asked for another basket (pictured). My daughters chimi fundido was on point, muy delicioso! My mango santa fe salad came out with the chicken lukewarm at best. I let the server know. She hastily brings me out another grilled breast,"here you go." And left. Hmmmm. I did come to enjoy a dinner out not dig cold chicken off a salad and, I digress...Im sounding snobbish. Im perturbed. I let her know Im disappointed she didnt bring me out a fresh salad. "Can I please just get a small crunchy taco instead?" I also let her know well be ordering flan for dessert. During all this my daughter had run empty on her beverage. Very empty. After all this, we never received one sorry. The young male server in our section was outstanding! I found myself wishing hed been our server. Perhaps next time. *sigh*

So i dont necessarily hate this place, but their food is built basic and for the price you pay ot should be more authentic. What Im really upset about is how the taco bar has changed. I used to love going to the taco bar, but now its gettinv pretty nasty. They changed their queso and now it ruins any food it touches. It looks like glue and tastes like salt and theyve added bell pepers in it which I am alergic to. Their beans are mushy, flavorless, and watery. The staff is not attentive to the taco bar. They wait to refill the chips until every single crumb is gone. They let the tortillas and beef get cold and they dont change it leaving customers who have waited in line with out beef on their tacos or chips. Also, theyve advertised they have guacamole at the taco bar, but everytime Im there its nowhere to be found. I addressed the staff with these issues, but they acted like it was not a concern. I honestly felt sick after my last visit.

Sacramento (see that review) I totaly agree with you. Why is it this place is always hopping?! Its not the deliciousness of the food drawing them. Because the food is so far from being real Mexican food; even Santa Margarita would cry. Speaking of which I cannot comment, as I had none. Once my wife and I had sand in our rice. That was not resolved satisfactorily. Next time: Chile rellenos was chopped up pepper in cheese sauce. NOT the real Mexican you expect observing the exterior/interior decor. I cant help but reminisce about the authentic Mexican tacos and smokin salsa verde I experienced on Old Bayshore Hwy in San Jose, CA. Cooked to perfection in a taco truck, no less. Happy hunting for the elusive sabor of Mexico. -Johnny

The layout is very conducive for easily getting around. The decor and look of the place is very cozy, and the music is just the right volume. Salsa and chips are free, but you can pay a tiny bit for hamburger in cheese with spice that is really good. Usually there is a wait if you go after 1800. Food, while not really authentic, is almost always good, and the menu explains everything so youre never surprised. Service is almost always great, even when its busy. One of the oldest restaurants in Fargo, so it tells me they know what theyre doing

Festive decor inside and out! A lot of parking, more in the West side than front and side. Quick and attentive service by the host. A lot of dining rooms with wonderful festive decor in each. Theres also a fountain in one room. Also a bar area for only 21yr and up. Love the free chips and salsa! Drinks, good, and desserts are all delicious. Waiters are polite and usually quick and efficient. Have eaten here many times in my life and still is one of my go to places in Fargo.

Always go here on my birthday and enjoy a free birthday meal. Took a big group along to celebrate with me and we all had a great time. The food tasted great and the staff was very accommodating of our group and even combined extra tables just so we could all fit even though they had originally set those tables separately. The menu has lots of options and all the food tastes great. If you are looking for a decent Mexican restaurant, Paradiso is the place!
