A delightful little gem, perfect for a cozy date. The food was very good, but the service was impeccable. We had the cheese plate to start with the fresh bread (try the truffle infused cheese and the humbolt fog is always a winner). The five selections we made were accompanied by Cointreau soaked figs, praline pecans, nicoise olives and quince preserves and toasted baguettes. I had the jambon and gruyere soufflé - added peppers and my husband had the blue crab soufflé - both arrived extremely fast and delicious. Praline pecan dessert soufflé was also superb. Like heaven melting on your tongue. Our server, Madeline was amazing - patient with us and explained everything on the menu and made wonderful suggested pairings. One of the best servers weve had in any restaurant - worldwide. The wine flights we sampled were also interesting, and the dessert wine was phenomenal. With few patrons, its great for a romantic date but got quite noisy as every table was filled by the time we left. Ambiance was lovely, felt like a cozy Parisian neighborhood restaurant. The parting "thought" as you leave was also a nice touch.

The food here is simply amazing. Reasonable portions - youll never feel like you have to be rolled out in a barrow; but you wont leave hungry. Try the "marshmellow" soup - its a tomato bisque with little "marshmellows" (mini suoffles) floating in it, truly divine on a cold day. Coffee service here is excellent (french press at the table with whole cream). Ive never had a bad experience (unless you count occasionally having to wait a while for a table). Very nice patio, too. The menus not large - rarely more than a dozen items. They concentrate on the souffles, with a couple of soups, a couple of salads, some cheese plates, and a dessert option or two that arent souffles (in addition to several rotating dessert souffles) Pros: Truly delicious, healthy, and (somewhat) reasonably priced food. The Decor is warm, inviting and personable - imo, nearly peerless. Cons: Busy and small. You may have to wait and you may have to wait outside. Also, large people may find maneuvering through the restaurant a tad on the tight side.

Third visit here in 3 years. It is a unique place with country french charm. Specials of the day were lobster based, Soufflés, sandwiches, soup, and a lovely cheese cart with delicious options. Waitstaff is trained extremely well! Love their wine list. Sounds like I should have tried a souflee as an entre, but opted for tomato soup (average) with little puffs of souflee which I really didnt care for, flavorless. Mom loved her cheese dish and toasty baguette. What turns me off is the really tattered carpet. Makes me wonder about the whole restaurants quality. First impression is it looks dirty. And the wine pours are soooo small-14.00 for a small orange juice glass of wine. I would still suggest you try this place, but it will be another year for me.

TERRIBLE! If you dont mind the customers changing their babies diapers in plain view while you eat, then youre safe. But I will never go here again! Today, a couple came with a newborn and were changing a diaper right at their table. Their waitress did not say a word to them. Not a single word (we were sitting close by and saw and heard it all). A Birthday dinner is ruined, thank you, Rise 1! I will never set my foot at this place again, and will warn others not to come. Also, plates and cups are chipped (this was our 3rd visit and each time they were serving chipped dishes). The white tea cup was dirty, had a brown spot inside. The soup spoons are huge. Oh, and theyll give you a huge soup spoon to ear your cake with! (Our waitress was awesome though.)

All I can say is WOW, this place is fantastic. From the cozy atmosphere to the incredible food and service. I went with my family on a busy Thursday at dinner time and were quoted a 50 minute wait. We waited at the bar and ended up only having to wait about 35 minutes! We were seated by a very friendly hostess and our server, Ronny, was even friendlier. The "Marshmallow Soup" was nothing short of amazing...very flavorful and warm on a cold day. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Soufflé and enjoyed every bite. Very fresh ingredients and extremely flavorful. We ordered the Raspberry Soufflé with chocolate sauce for dessert and all loved every bite. If youre in the area, check this restaurant out!

Well heres to the perfect soufflé(s) ok so I may actually had/tied more than one. :-) We started with Marshmellow soup which I did not try but heard it was wonderful. I opted for the French onion soup which was a bit tough to eat but quite yummy. I then had the crab social soufflé and was very impressed. The others had salads which looked good but I could imagine ordering at a soufflé restaurant. They then made up for it by each ordering dessert soufflés. We had a delectable chocolate soufflé that was not too sweet and a bread pudding soufflé thats also the right sweetness. When served the waiter pour decedent sauce in the middle - who doesnt love that!!!!

After a few times here, the food can be great or not so much. Today my friend and I came prior to dinner hours and our service was quite poor. There was no offer to refresh our drinks or another glass of wine. We were able to get service from a gentleman whom weve seen there multiple times and quite delightful. As we were TRYING to have a slow and easy wine and dining experience we were rudely interrupted by our waitress who plunked our bill down without a word or asking if wed like anything further. Amazing how horrible service can ruin something that would otherwise be an enjoyable experience.

Fantastic! Fantastique? This place was very yummy. It is a little pricey, but certainly in line with the quality and flavor of food you get, and much more reasonable than your average French restaurant. I had the truffle infused mushroom souffle for my main course and a pumpkin souffle for dessert and both were excellent. Very strong flavors, very well balanced. So far, this is one of my favorite places to eat in Dallas. They told me when I was ordering that the souffles would take 25-30 minutes to bake, but my order took much less than that, more like 15-20 minutes max.

i really bordered on a 3 and a 4. The waiter was Very Good. The Food was so so and over priced. I understand you are paying for the location and atmosphere but still a bit much for me. I was hoping to really love the food and it to be a nice casual change of place to take a date. Very nice atmosphere and I could see how others with a different taste then mine would really appreciate this restaurant. I do not mind paying the prices if I really enjoyed the food. I will not be going back but it doesnt mean that others should not at least try this place.

hands down the best soufflés in DFW. This is a small restaurant so I would recommend calling ahead to make sure that your table is ready when you get there. Two things that I recommend trying are the cheese cart which has a plethora of cheeses of all different flavors and variety and the artichoke. They make a special sauce to put on the artichoke that is to die for. For a restaurant that is more high end dining the staff is very warm and inviting and has a very at home feel. The staff does a great job of making you feel welcome.
