Not entirely satisfied...YET. Our waiter seemed to have a good attitude and was concerned about us, but seemed a bit new, so I rated the service Good. I sensed a lot of stress among the staff, but it was a Monday. The food seemed to me to be "under-executed"....by that I mean, if you are going to "Keep It Simple Stupid" with "basics" like Pomme Frites, Steak au Poivre, Mussels Meuniere, Duck Confit, etc., then DO IT BETTER than anybody. We had all these, as well as Seared Sea Scallops on Risotto, plus desserts and it was all GOOD, but we were not "WOWed" either. Im an accomplished cook who KNOWS these simple dishes can be done better and I feel like this place could do better...the answer is NOT to change the menu and try to get more adventurous or innovative. INSTEAD, I hope the owner will look into things like ...WHY our mussels were so watery. The mollusks were fresh and tasty, but the cook messed them up somehow. The Confit was pretty good (TWO leg quarters were served) and the purple-husked peas/beans had some sort of pancetta or speck that gave them a very nice smoky flavor. And the prunes were excellent. But the "sauce", (which I presume was made by deglazing with Brandy and some sweetener like honey plus some grainy French mustard) did nothing for the duck and was a let down. All I tasted was alcohol, as if it should have been flamed and was not. They need to Keep everything on the Duck the same, but develop a new sauce or improve the old one. The Seared Scallops were cooked properly and tasted very good, but the risotto seemed "rushed" (as if the broth was dumped in all at once, instead of gradually). The Europeans I know would have sent it back, but Im not THAT picky. The grape tomato and basil in the risotto were fresh. The texture of the risotto is too important and needs to be looked into by the owner. The creme brulee was really really good (yes you CAN screw up creme brulee and no they did not) and the fondant ("lava" cake) was good too. Oh yeah, and the Pomme Frite (supposedly their signature dish)?....the ones at Hopdaddys are better. If I were the owner, Id find out what they do there and copy them. I kept wondered what was up in the kitchen. If I had to guess, Id say thered been some recent turnover or something, Or maybe the main cook doesnt have enough help, so hes rushed, The manager or owner is not being attentive enough and needs to see whats going on.....but I WILL be going back. Its MY KIND of place.... I like the kind of dishes that youd find in a brasserie or a "better" bistro...but I expect them to be as well exeuted as possible. I want to see how their bouillabaisse is next time.

The people working at Toulouse are wonderful! We arrived late around 10:30pm on a Wednesday night and they were already starting to close; however the Manager welcomed us into his restaurant and said we will make the time for you and your family; even thou we were the only ones in the restaurant. This showed us how dedicated they are to winning customer loyalty; and truly we will be coming back and telling all our friends and co-workers to come to this wonderful French restaurant. The food was superb and reminded my wife and I when we were in Toulouse, France. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves French food!

What a gem! This place has a covered, temp controlled patio that is dog friendly. The whole atmosphere is romantic and cozy. French onion soup is good but their lobster bisque is excellent!! For main, we had "Our Bouillabaisse" which is mixed sea food in white wine and saffron broth, and "Crispy Duck Two Ways". They were both delicious!! For dessert we ordered the chocolate souffle which was a little disappointing so if you know a good souffle, I dont recommend getting it here.. however overall this restaurant was wonderful!! Will be going regularly :)

The service was great and the food was too. Found the restaurant on Trip Advisor which marked it as not being a high-end restaurant. I was under-dressed (shorts and t-shirt) and the prices were pretty high compared to what we expected. Good for a date night or special treat, but it isnt a place I would frequently go (just because of the price and more formal atmosphere, not because the food or service was bad.)

Although for upscale food it is appropriately priced, some selections are not worth their price. Especially during lunch. If I want real five star food with five star service, Ill go to a five star restaurant and wont pay much more than Id pay here, and Id get better service, and a higher caliber of food. Overall, its good bistro food, and if you have money to kill, you wont be disappointed.

Beignets on Sunday brunch is the best there! Had Toulouse Salad and soup. They were ok . Nice patio for chilling. Sit outside if you can. I been to Toulouse city in the south of France for a week and I was so surprised that there is a place named the same in Dallas.

We came here for Mothers day and had a great time. The patio is a great place to sit on a nice day, service was excellent, and the food was great. The prices were a little on the high side, but it is an expensive part of the city.

Good food, a little pretentious. A place for the real, not really, " housewives" of highland park to meet and talk about how they spent their husbands money.
