First experience with this restaurant and I was highly disappointed. Ordered 4 rolls for take out, 2 without cucumbers, and the lady who took the phone order repeated it back correctly. Picked up the order and when the dish was opened it was loaded with cucumber. Immediately called them and told them there was cucumber in it and all they would do is deny it. They started lying about it and said they actually checked it. Then the manager was put on the phone and he said he checked it. After arguing about it the chef then got on the phone and he said he checked it too. It is so frustrating that they couldnt even apologize when I was clearly not happy with the order. I didnt ask for a refund or anything but all they would deny it and say there was no cucumber when they made the roll as if it magically jumped in there on the way home. I even told them I could send pictures of the mound of cucumber that was picked out of the roll. Terrible customer service!! I will never return to this place and I do NOT recommend it.

Sushi was ok but there was an overwhelming smell of stinky fish throughout the whole restaurant. I eat Sushi once or twice a week all over Dallas and some restaurants do have a faint fishy smell and I get that.....they are serving fish. But this was not a fresh fish smell. Lastly, I got a lunch special and just asked if instead of the piece shrimp sushi that came with it if I could get another type of fish. I was charged $1.50 for the substitution. I ask this at any sushi restaurant I go to if part of the bento box or special comes with shrimp and am NEVER charged to make that change. First and last time I will go here.

I would give zero star. Experience was horrible. Never go there anymore. I am Asian (other than Japanese). All employees (including boss) taking time ingratiating and chatting with white/black guests, but ignored us all the way and considering us as air! (note that we just sit right in front of the cooks at sushi bar!!). I felt very uncomfortable and treated unfair. I talked to the boss and one of their cooks at the end of our meal. They finally apologized with smile, but explained with ridiculous excuses and pretended to be warm to us. HOW UGLY THEY ARE!!

The atmosphere of this place was really nice. Everyone was dressed in traditional garb which added to the feeling of the place. If you arent prepared to spend a minimum of $20 avoid this place. That being said, you get very high quality food. I, myself, got a bento box with Mr. Sushi Roll, teriyaki chicken and teriyaki salmon. All of which was very delicious. The service was a bit slow when you requested something but I didnt pay that much attention, I had food in front of me. This is a must visit place for a date.

Fantastic selection and prices are definitely competitive for sushi. If youre in the mood, sit at the bar and watch the care and devotion they put into every roll. The skill they show is amazing. Good selection of sake and Japanese beer. And finally they are always friendly and helpful if you are unsure. If you cant make your mind up ask for the chefs recommendation and youll usually end up with something special.

We had 1 gyoza and 3 sushi rolls. The total price was $42 which is good and the only reason for one of the stars. Gyoza taste like unflavored cooked flour with very little pork. The eel sushi taste good, tiger roll was designed good but the taste was lacking a world of flavor! No use of good seeds, seasonings or spice. Out of the 13 sushi places I have eaten so far I rate this restaurant on the bottom 5.

I have been coming here for 15 years and this place has never disappointed me. They have the best authentic sushi with the best atmosphere of any proper Japanese sushi restaurant Ive ever been to in the US. The chefs are Japanese and have been there since I was a young boy, they are always fun and willing to make whatever you ask for. If youre in the mood for true Japanese Sushi, this is the place to go.

I remember seeing the name and thinking "maybe this is some discount place or all you can eat buffet". I was wrong! This place is nice inside with a wonderful atmosphere. Fish is fresh, tasty, and their service is excellent. I have yet to have a bad night there. Average prices for sushi, but the quality is well worth the price you pay.

Yuck. Not very good. I ordered the spider roll and the Mr. Sushi roll. They both tasted the same, like crappy soy sauce. I always order the spider roll at every sushi place I go, so Im familiar. And I assumed the Mr. Sushi roll was their signature roll. Yuck. Waste of 20 bucks. The staff was friendly, though, thats not enough for me.

Dont know what people are talking about being bad... Its the closest REAL japanese experince with food and sushi there is here. Im a sushi person, Best Salmon sushi ever! They surve it with wasabi inside it between the rice and sushi which is what they do in Japan. So if youd like real japanese food Id recommend this, and the Tonkatsu!

Friendly wait staff, decent sushi. Fish tasted good, but not really fresh. Menu was very simple and a bit generic, getting the food was a reasonable wait, but I did expect it faster considering how empty the place was. I dont know how they do their sushi rice but it was outstanding! Cultural decor is nice

I love trying new sushi restaurants in the area and this has been one of the best. They have a lot of great sushi rolls, and we try to order a different one every time. Staff is very friendly and competent, and the place definitely has an enjoyable atmosphere. You should try this place if you havent.

Only giving 1 Star because that is as low as I can go. The sushi was clearly not fresh. Pro tip - If you can smell the fish then it is no bueno. Manager could care less. When I complained he acted snooty and indifferent. There is better Sushi and better service to be had than this place.

I made a to go order for lunch and it was not tasty at all! It had a strong fishy taste and Ive had good sushi before and that is not how it is supposed to taste. I ordered a volcano roll and catapiller roll. This was my first and last time going. I wasted 27.00 on gross sushi.

Awesome place with tasty food. The fire roll is amazing beyond words. The Addison tower is quite tasty as well. I have never been disappointed with the experience here. Its so fun to set at the sushi bar and watch it all happen. TAKE YOUR TOOSHI TO MR. SUSHI!

The traditional sushi is so good I wouldnt even bother with the rolls. Although the rolls are still fabulous, this is a great place for sushi with the right rice, right temperature , and right fish to rice ratio. Great crafting and always nice servers and chefs.

Even my initial impression of Mr. Sushi was not great. The fish smell as you enter made me nearly lose my appetite. I was upset that I spent money in this establishment. The sushi I tried was disappointing and smelled very fishy. I have never been back.
