I would give it more stars. But the last time I went I was disappointed. I always get the beef enchiladas. Something tasted different this time. They were bland and tasteless. I stuck my finger in the Chili Con Carne that goes on top and it was way off. And then it hit me. It tasted like canned Wolf/ Hormel brand chili and not the homemade stuff they usually make. The waiter went to ask and of course came back and said it was homemade. I said no...there was no way it was. I know canned chili when I taste it cause I dislike it so much. Even the meat inside was bland. I never get anything else from there so I did not eat. Except for some chips and salsa. Kind of a let down cause they are a good place.

Horrible for Gluten Allergies! They were rude about asking, they put cheese, chips or some form of gluten on everything. I asked about the corn tortillas because that is normally gluten free naturally and they were so rude. I ordered a salad and they took the cheese off but it is served in a fried chip bowl full of gluten. I had to eat there for a work lunch so I had no choice. I had a contact allergic reaction from the salad. Not did everything there make me sick but they were extremely rude and treated me badly for asking. I was not annoying, I just asked and they got visibly annoyed.

We made a lunch reservation 2 days ahead of time for a Friday lunch of 20 people. These guys are AMAZING chips on the table as soon as we sat down. Had 2-3 waiters at all times, food was fast & DELICIOUS. Drinks were constantly filled, chips & salsa too. When we called ahead we told them everyone would be a separate check, so the waiter walks over with 20 checks with everything correct. They got us in and out within an hour. Very impressed. Have always liked this place but this will be our go to spot for those big work lunches.

A cozy, family-run restaurant offering quality, classic Tex-Mex cuisine. They have the best flour tortillas around - fluffy, delicious, and made fresh in house - and they bring you some with every meal. Theres also have a clever "quick lunch" setup, allowing you to order from a narrower section of the menu and have your meal ready at your table or for take out very quickly or even instantly. Finally, there are a partitioned bar section and spaces for events.

I used to take my family almost every week and thought it was the very best Tex-Mex in DFW. The servers all knew us and the food was exceptional. I moved and hadnt been there in a couple of years until recently. What a devastating change! The place was a mess, the server was rude, and the food was not only COLD, it tasted horrible! I dont know what happened, but I do know that I wont ever go back. DONT WASTE YOU TIME!!! El Fenix is still good!

Bartender served me drink with 4 dead gnats floating on surface, when I brought it to his attention, he tried to say they were air bubbles, picked them out, and attempted to give it back to me. I asked for a manager and bartender denied the gnats and accused me of lying. Management offers me bottle drink on the house for the "inconvenience." Safe to say this is the first and last time Ill be coming to this place. Very disappointed.

We were expecting great food from the recent excellent reviews. Dont waste your time. The food was boring and blah. The salsa was plain jane and the fajitas were nothing special. The fajitas for two were $24!! What a rip-off for average food. Go to On the Border instead!! Avoid the front cashier and the evening manager at all cost. Terrible terrible terrible. Our waitress was the only good thing that came out of our outing.

Fajitas at lunch were tender, accompanied by a generous portion of onions and bell pepper. Mercado serves chips and salsa warm, which quite a few people in our group commented after lunch were better than cold. Ample parking across the street, and many tables within the restaurant. I have eaten at Mercado many times but never got around to writing a review. I recommend Mercado. They accept AMEX for payment, too.

Busy place with overall great food. They did a great job considering the large groups dining that night, but they could stand to improve the number of tortillas they give to the table (several ordered meals that came with it) and the chairs in the waiting area/lobby were surprisingly uncomfortable even though they looked padded. Benches are better. Overall still a great meal and a decent price.

I asked to speak to manager, he denied speaking to me.. than after a few minutes he comes to my table.. staff is rude here.. no good customer service skills.. never coming here

Very good wait staff, the man who helped us was very nice and recommended the CABRITO AL PASTOR, which was really good gave quite a bit of meat wasnt even able to finish it. Also first time I had warmed salsa with warm chips it was actually quite good. The happy hour Margaritas where nothing to write home about. But all in all was good place to go.

Good service but felt kinda rushed out he didnt even let us enjoy our appetizers he brought everything out way to fast. The cheese enchiladas were very gross it tasted old the cheese was stiff and it was more corn tortilla then cheese. Only thing I enjoyed was the atmosphere, the homemade tortilla, and rice and beans. I wouldnt go back.

Felt like the place was a bit trashy, compared to other locations. The food did not taste fresh, neither did the chips and salsa. A bit disappointed the drinks werent good either. Only had one, didnt want to order another one. Hostess was not happy. Server was okay. Wont be coming back to this location.

Excellent Tex-Mex fare in festive atmosphere. Tried the Veggie Combo (squash, zucchini, onion, peppers) with Shrimp plate. At under $11, this was truly amazing stuff. Sides included veggie-rice, a bean soup, and cheese/guac/salsa. Staff was prompt and extremely friendly. Would highly recommend.

ALWAYS our "Go To" for Mexican food that tastes Muy Muy Bien!! You can always get an idea of what quality dishes a Mexican restaurant has by trying their salsa. If the salsa sucks, odds are great that the food will as well. Mercado Juarez has EXCELLENT salsa!!

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant! The food is fresh and popping with flavor. I have lived in Florida for 19 years now, but when I am back visiting this is usually the first place I go when leaving the airport and the last place I visit before returning.

Expect to tip if you want good service ... if your a regular and dont tip youll be lucky to get refills on drinks or see your hostess more than once . The best thing about this place is the fast lunch ... Im and out in 15 minutes or less if your in a hurry
