Worst Valentines dinner! I took my wife and 4 year old to dinner at this place, as soon as we sit down the problems start. It took them 15min for a waiter to greet us and come take our drink order! Got that out of the way, place the order for the entree, we ordered spaghetti and meat balls for my 4 year old, my wife got the salmon and I got the veal. Our reservation was at 8:15. Its 9:10 and still no food! The waiter comes back and was like what did u order again!! Omg I flipped we were running on fumes! We asked for a manager and 5 mins later the kids spaghetti comes out! Its an Italian restaurant a and it took them an hour to get a small plate of spaghetti out!! Unfrickin believable! 20 mins later and our food is not even out!! I just called the waiter and told her to pack it to go! We couldnt take it no more! Mind you the tables around us which had a different waiter go their food on time! Would not recommend this place to no one! Ps: when we got back to the hotel and open the dam carry out it was nasty!! No flavor saggy pasta just nasty!

On a scale of 1-10 this place is a 5 at best. I ate there tonite. The calamari was loaded with salt, the Zuppa di Cozze in creme sauce/onions was ok, but the main course was a lesson in how not to serve food. Dried out veal over pasta with a marsala sauce that was anything but.My son looked at the chicken parm and groaned. nuff said. People in the south get NY rejects who couldnt make it up North plain & simple. They come down here, laugh because people dont know good food, put so-so meals on the table and make a living. I dont get it! If I owned a restaurant in Alaska it would be the best food an eskimo EVER ate. With all that said, Im not sure how much better it will get in this town. Stay tuned........were looking for a fine steak house tomorrow nite. Sorry to be so blunt but I travel the South on business often and Im sick of restaurateurs claiming their food is good because they lived in Brooklyn for 2 years or they have a grandfather from Sicily. Show me good food and keep the story. Im from No Jersey.

I thought I must be referring to a different restaurant after reading the other reviews. We have been eating at Doraldos for years and have never had a bad meal, a rude member of the wait staff or slow service. We hate the butcher paper they put on the tables and always ask them to remove it before we are seated and, without exception, the staff has complied immediately and pleasantly. The menu is varied, the kitchen is always willing to make adjustments and on one occasion prepared a dish that was not on the menu. The tiramisu is excellent and can easily be dessert for two. The prices are reasonable. I have only good things to say about Doraldos. Dont let the "grumpies" or Yankee arrogance deter you from giving this fine restaurant a try.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal. My family comes to Williamsburg on vacation occasionally and pretty much always come here at least once or twice. The food is terrific- it starts out with salad and extremely delicious garlic knots. I get a variety of different dishes from lasagna to chicken parmigiana to spaghetti and meatballs and they all are very good. We have also gotten the pizza before and I have to say, its one of the best pizzas Ive ever had. The service is great, and the whole entire staff is very friendly and makes you feel welcome. The food also comes surprisingly fast for how high the quality of the food is. Overall, it is one of my favorite restaurants and I would highly recommend it.

After contacting several local restaurants with no success or interest in helping us with a wedding rehearsal dinner. My daughter found Doraldos! WOW - what a difference. She ended up speaking with the owner directly while he was traveling. He put our mind at ease, helped us plan a fantastic menu and even gave us a private area with decorated tables. On the night of the dinner, his staff was attentive, courteous and very hard working. Charlie is an AMAZING restaurant owner but most important...hes a great man. He made our event happy, sentimental, fun and we stayed on budget. with the best food ever! GO see for yourself and enjoy a romantic dinner for two or plan a large event with them. You will love it!

As a tour bus driver Ive become accustomed to taking large groups to restaurants for lunch & dinner where the food is normally good but to accommodate the large group use frozen or otherwise less than quality ingredients. Doraldo however is the exception. Tonight they served Chicken Cattitore, Rigatoni a la Vodka, and Garlic Knots and EVERYTHING was outstanding. If this incredible food is what the large groups get I would love to try their regular menu. I also have to say that the staff was some of the friendliest people. They were great with everyone but gave the drivers a little extra attention which is definitely appreciated. If youre in Williamsburg I would highly recommend you try this place.

6 out of 10 at best. For every good thing this restaurant had going for it, there was another that set it back. Plenty of seating and excellent waitress but Host was wearing plaid shirt and blue jeans. The one menu item my wife was really looking forward to was out, the Salmon with pasta. No salmon on a Saturday night? The busiest night of the week? The mini garlic rolls were very good but many were burnt. The dessert menu had a dozen offerings but only about half were available and none were chocolate!! To me dessert is chocolate! My wife and I decided dinner was all right but would not go back without coupon or some type of incentive.

Lots of restaurants have good food, but there is more to a dining experience that a plate of pasta. You can really tell that Charlie, the owner, and the entire staff at Doraldo genuinely care about their guests. Doraldo hosted a family wedding rehearsal dinner last week and it was perfect. Plentiful portions, hot food, friendly serving staff. OK – you may be thinking that it was extra service because of the size of our party… but my daughter drove in from Charlotte and arrived after we left… no one there knew she was part of our party, She had a GREAT dinner and told me later that it was one of the best Italian Restaurants she has ever visited!

Came here for my birthday dinner right when they opened so it wasnt too busy. Never been here before but food and service was excellent. The waitress Amanda I believe her name was, made me a special birthday drink and it was delicious. I ordered the special with lasgna, parmasean chicken and stuffed shells and my fiance ordered the steak. It melted in your mouth!! Wasnt dry like OG. Sakad was great and the garlic knots. Now I am a OG fan but this was way better. Everything was wonderful and I enjoyed it. Will come back whenever I am. In the area.

We ate at Doraldo Saturday night and will never go back. We were the first people in the restaurant and waited 10 minutes before anyone came to our table. The waitress kept leaning over with her elbows on the table. We ordered a glass of wine and was never asked if we wanted another glass. Had to ask for water. We never saw our waitress again. At the end of our meal someone else brought us the check and we had to ask for coffee and dessert. My food was ok but my daughters was just so-so. SAVE YOUR MONEY. I WILL NEVER GO BACK.....
