Ive been looking for a good Taqueria on this side of town, and I was not disappointed with El Paisa. Typical Taqueria fare, severed in typical fashion. I find the Taquerias are either very good, or very poor, and El Paisa is very good. A little spanish will help you get your order in, but if you dont know any, they are very friendly, it just might take longer. They have a taco and quesidilla kids meal, and an order of queso is huge. The salsa bar was very fresh and ranged from mild to very hot. The sweet tea was very good, and I normally dont like sweet tea. The restaurant was clean, and the seating area was full of families, while the restaurant was also constantly busy with singles and doubles getting food to-go. La peor experiencia. ..las meseras tienen una mala actitud con los clientes!! simplemente para tomar la orden y servirte algo de tomar se tardaron 25 minutos nada mas para tomar la orden..para servirla una hora y la orden mal ....yo no lo recomiendo otras personas q llegaron después q yo fueron atendidas rápidamente. .cuando yo solo pedi tacos ..? No lo recomiendo. .

Im seriously not sure where the great reviews from this place are coming from. The prices were really low, following suit so was the quality of food. Chicken Nachos; chicken was okay, cheese was bland cheap sauce out of a can. Barbacoa burrito; very bland but actually used real cheese if youre looking for a positive. Tostada; small portion size bland. Bean and cheese burrito, bland and no cheese to speak of. The fountain drinks had more flavor than anything, its too bad the flavor was chlorine. Sauces were bland and old tasting. Just absolutely nothing good to say about the food.

Ive eaten here many times and have ordered Caldo, among other things. Yesterday I asked my boyfriend to stop by there and order a large Caldo on his way to come see me. He was told they dont make it!! He was looking at the menu as he was ordering and it says "CALDO" on there. Thats disturbing. The food is delicious but Im disappointed I didnt get what I wanted. Their service is okay even though theyre slow during peak time. Its worth the wait! Friendly staff. Great value.

Im not much of a mexican food eater but I HAVE to eat here once a week. The sauces they make are so rich with flavor and the tortillas are obviously homemade and made right. This place makes any mexican chain restaurant seem like taco bell. Try the asado de puerco or the pork ribs with green sauce *spicy* (daily special). Youll be glad you made the trip, I can promise you that. I have always been part of the lunch crowd and it is never too busy.

Its an ok lunch spot the food is really much to rave about but its decent and cheap but the old guy in the front has got to go. 1. He is rude 2. He is extremely SLOOOOOOW 3. He messes up my order almost every single time, even after I repeat it to him. Lke I said the food is OK but the service sucks.

Affordable and delicious. A good fast food setting Mexican restaurant. We really enjoyed the breakfast menu. The service was great and the food is delicious. We had the fajitas and eggs plate as well as the breakfast tacos. All plates were hot and very flavourful. Would recommend it!

Stopped by for dinner with my lady. Excellent food. Great value. Enjoyed our dinner (Sopes Dinner and Flauta Dinner). We had to wait a little longer than expected for the food, however, it was worth the wait. The cashier was very courteous and helpful. I do plan on going back.

Excellent Enchilladas. I come from San Antonio and had yet to find delicious enchilladas. untill i came to El Paisa. The entire plate with red sauce was outstanding. Still no Garcias from San Antonio (I-35 and Fredricksburg Rd) and no Brisket tacos but, food was delicioso.

Its an ok Mexican food spot, it just depends on the days you really go or times. Sat and sun are great for the menudo and weekdays is good for some breakfast, lunch menu could definitely be a little better tasting. Tons of options for breakfast and lunch

My family has been coming to El Paisa since 2007. They serve real authentic Mexican food, great prices. Our favorite is sopes, best rice and beans in town! A burrito here with tons of meat is $3.75 vs. $6 at Chipotles.

I freakin love this place. They have the best barbacoa and carnitas tacos. Their refried beans are addictive!!! I dont like their fajita tacos at all, so Im glad I gave them a second chance and tried other stuff.

Beans watered down. Enchiladas are tiny, but drenched in sauce with watered down beans. No chips or tortillas for the sauce. Tacos are great, just missed the mark on the tex-mex items.

The food is delicious! However, their service is horrible. Drive thru-be prepared to wait at least 20 min after you pay to get your food.... BUT other than that, food is delish!
