I felt the young lady that took my order was very rude. Before I could "TELL" her what I wanted on my potato she interrupted me. She was watching TV, she was very loud disrespectful unprofessional & showed no act of kindness to me nor my Friend that I bought with me. My Boyfriend & I bragged to My Friend from NC about how "Good" TEXAS BAR-B-Q was ...we took her to what we thought was one of the best..."H & J Barbeque" only to be met by the.. a very rude young lady ...on Saturday, July 01, 2017 at around 5pm... I ordered a baked potato...She didnt really give me time to even say banana pudding... I am over 50 yrs old... This young lady should not be taking order/ or maybe she was having a bad day... I dont know... my friend ordered a Rib Sandwich. Even when my Boyfriend paid for my order she was rude. I walked away just to get away from her. I actually did not complete my order bc she did not allow me to talk. I will not be back. I will continue to take My Business to Records & Hardermen & make sure my Family & Friends do not come back in this place again!!!! I dont argue with people, we were tired & she was a child. I would not be BACK!

Well, its around the way and Ive passed this spot plenty of times...n now i know why..The food was okay..jus that okay.Not many options to choose from as far as sides are concerned..n $4 extra to add another meat to an already over priced plate..Can u say lack of customer service?? The lady behind the counter was dry as a Texas Summer...but to be jus passing through..i guess it was okay..I know next time to go a little further down to Smokey Joes or Daves...on second thought..Ill jus catch the ole school that rides with the smoker on his truck.....Food:4 stars out of 10 Customer Service: 0 out of 10...Side note: The only pics they post are of the potatoes..makes u say hmmmmmmm

First, I wasnt greeted when I entered the establishment. Second, after ordering almost $50 of meat @ 1hr before close, there was a big sigh to give change from a $100 bill. After giving me my change, he walked off to resume sweeping. Third, Well...the menu poster on the wall states that each pound of meat comes with potatoe salad or baked beans, when inquired about this I was literally YELLED AT!! I guess I interrupted his sweeping. At this point...I decided to take my business elsewhere. Had to demand a refund! No CUSTOMER SERVICE skills at all!! I took my business to Odoms Bar-b-que in Duncanville- -very friendly people, food was great!

Where do I begin.. First, it took forever for the lady behind the counter to recognize me and my friend were even there. She wasnt very informative on the menu when I asked about a certain item. I asked how big is the chopped beef sandwich in comparison to the smaller one? Her response "it comes with fries", Come to find out they both came with fries but whatever. We got our order in a pretty decent time but they forgot my drink I went to go ask the lady behind the counter about my drink and she gave me the meanest look, dont know why maybe cause I was disturbing her from eating? Idk I didnt want to get hurt all I wanted was my drink

Its definitely an easy place to miss. Very small and quiet. But the food is good, the service is fast, and the portions are big. They do only offer bottled water, which was a little annoying since its an extra dollar, but not a deal breaker. Yes, the place could use a spring cleaning, but you dont go there for ambience. If you want to try some real Texas BBQ, visit. The hot links are tasty, the beans are great, and the potato salad is the best Ive ever had.

Absolutely the worst spot in Dallas for barbeque. I just threw away a rib sandwich that cost me $9.20. The meat was not smoked. Being a rib specialist myself,I know ribs! They were obviously boiled at some point. If not for the horrible sauce that accompanied the sandwich,you wouldnt know I had anything that came from a barbeque shack based off the lack of aroma. I would not recommend this spot to starving dogs,nevertheless any of the human race!!!

It looks like a joke in the wall and a little shady at first but the smell of smoked meat and the wood heater makes you feel warm and comfortable. The ribs were delicious and they had some of the best potato salad I have ever tasted! The service was good and the food came out quickly. This was my first taste of Texan BBQ and I am 100% satisfied.

I called to place my order. By the time I arrived I was still on hold and my order had not been taken yet. THEN the bad attitude unprofessional very mature aged woman got mad when we asked abouy options on a variety plate. I WONT AINT CANT DONT ever want to eat here again. Ive had better from a bbq pit in a parking lot.

This is so well worth the drive.......It takes me about a week to eat the bake potato filled with chopped beef combined with the works of cheese, fresh chopped green onions, with sour cream on the side as an option to use or not. Of course I mixed it right on in with the rest of this very tasty dish...........Emia

So I ordered my food and asked for no meat on my baked potato at all, and just replace the meat for beans and when I got home to eat my potato from the looks of it it looked perfectly fine and I even took a picture of it but when I went to bite it, it was full of little piece of shredded meat

If your good with the hood, the food is worth the money, time, and gas. Everything Ive ever eaten here is delicious. Ribs, chicken, sausage, potato salad, baked beans, etc. Home cooked, good soul food, and one man who works there always has some funny comments or jokes, while you wait.

I hated it! I had a BBQ beef potatoe! It was filled with water. Its was absolutely disgusting! The sour cream was spoiled and the BBQ beef was burned. They tried to drown out the burned taste with that watered down bbq sauce! They suck! They suck! They suck!

Im very disappointed, and just when I was targeting black owned establishments. They reheated my fries instead of making me a fresh order of food. Sorry attitude, ignored me twice; even though no one was in front of me. Microwaved french Fries

Horrible I asked for hot sauce as in spicy bar b que sauce they put hot sauce as in Louisiana hot sauce it took the flavor of bar b que.my potato is completely orange on the inside.they should ex plain the difference that they are using
