By far the worst experience ever!! First we go in wanting to order "the experience" which comes with a little bit of every meat but since we dont eat pork we wanted to substitute for more beef and chicken but that was shut down. So after that we just decided to get 2 potatoes and 2 two meat plates. We wanted both plates to be brisket and chicken and then they tell us that they are out of chicken, So i ask could we get beef ribs with that instead and we were told no for that as well. So we just said forget it just give us 2 two meat brisket plates so we get that and check our food and no sour cream had come with the potatoes so we asked for that and was told that it didnt come with sour cream (like what potato doesnt come with sour cream). So as were getting ready to walk out a guy comes out with a full box of sour cream -___- even though they "dont serve" sour cream with their potatoes. Honestly we spent $50 on food and instead of being assisted with ordering in a helpful manner we were just told what we couldnt do, but I promise it wont EVER happen again!

Visited on 10/29/2016. Portions where fair size for the price and what you where getting. I ordered the 3 meat plate with Ribs, Brisket, and Sausage. Ribs where very good had a very nice crust to them. Little bit of spice but it made them taste very good. Brisket- It was kinda plain, however once you dip it in there signature bbq sauce it made a huge difference. Sausage- HIGHLY recommend. This was very good, full of flavor and had a nice crisp bite to it. I would not use the bbq sauce on this as it overpowers the taste of the sausage. Slaw- Not good, but not bad. Im pretty sure its not homemade. Mac and Cheese- I am not sure if I just got a old batch or what. It was very dry and had almost no flavor. I would eat here again, the sausage alone made it worth it. Only concern I had was the food prep area. The cutting board was not wiped or anything between the different meats hitting it.

I wish I could give them negative stars. We spent $49 for 5 potatoes. The potatoes were hard, cold, dry with very little condiments. My friend referred us & we wanted to support a black owned business, especially when she had sent me a picture of her potatoe. I couldnt eat my potatoe & my family was hungry after spending $49 (we could have bought 2 briskets). There were plenty of staff, getting in the way & no cash register. Not satisfied at all. Better quality control is a must if you want to keep customers.

Good BBQ, but disappointing visit. Went around 6:30 and they were out of brisket and sausage. Tried a $14 rib plate. Ribs were excellent. Tender with a crunchy bark. The big disappointment was there was only 4 small ribs. A half rack at Chilis is bigger. Cole slaw was excellent, Mac and cheese seemed a bit old/dry. I may try it again and see if a 3 meat plate would fill me up.

LOVE THIS PLACE! The customer service is great. When you enter the place, someone makes the statement, "Its a smoking good day!" and in unison, everyone else says, "Eyyyyyyyyy!" Lol, but the food is great (brisket, beans, pulled pork, mac n cheese, slaw sausage, etc..!) The peach cobbler is a rating of its own. Some good food. I loved it and Ill be going back

Ordered Brisket, Ribs, Sausage, and Pulled Pork. Unfortunately they pre-cut their meat so the ribs and pulled pork were dry. Sausage was tasty and brisket was average. I feel like this place has some potential but misses the mark for being a top bbq location in DFW. The next time Im in there Ill have to take a picture so the owner will believe me.

Friendly staff. No beef ribs the day I went so I will go again, the brisket was barky and rendered and the sausage was great. The macn cheese was only o.k. and the sauce was pedestrian at best. The good thing is, I didnt need any sauce. I will go back for beef and pork ribs and chicken etc. Good choice. Best Ive had in Desoto.

We tried this place because it was rated 8 out of 20 in D Magazine. I give this place a two because the ribs had a great favor, although full of fat and very little meat. The brisket was very dry, not much favor. The pulled pork was so dry, tasted old, and hard. Someone actually looked at it and still put in on my plate.

Wow! Waitres could not even get a simple order correct. Ordered ribs and a slice beef sandwich, got chopped beef, one small oz. of sauce for both orders, how does a bbq place forget sauce? Ordered it with frys did not get frys got chopped cabbage instead. If that was supposed to be coleslaw they missed the boat.

None. Found myself in Dallas on a Tuesday at 5:30 pm. Even though the posted hours are until 9, being the BBQ Lord that I am I knew its better to call before making a 20 minute drive. No answer after 10 rings and no vm. I have to assume that were sold out and gone for the day. But Ill never know.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted & asked if it was our first visit. Since it was, we were given a sample of some beef brisket. It was really good. Super friendly service, amazing bbq, HUGE portions, inexpensive, the restaurant had rustic decor & was clean. I was really impressed.

The place was dirty and all of the sides were dried out. Looked like the sides hadnt been freshened in quite a while. The sausage was comparable to what I usually grab from HEB. The brisket was moist with decent smoke flavor. Bathrooms ... yea...

Great Food! But Horrible management and Communication. Changes Made during employment are shady. Minimal employment meetings to discuss flaws and improvements, and Wages are very flat considering the amount of work that you give.

We ordered a baked potato two of them and they gave us the fat parts of the meet not a lot of meet then clovred it up with cheese and all the fixings (recomned if youre really hungry dont go there )fill ripped off

I ordered a pound of brisket. When I tell you it is delicious, please believe me. The meat is juicy, the bark had a lot of flavor. I ate it without the sauce. If I ever need meat for dinner Im coming here.
