I will be in touch with your company through official channels shortly I just wanted to share my experience, and warn people if you have a service animal DO NOT GO HERE! they will try to kick you out!! A Disgrace to service animals everywhere, this is not okay to do this to people who need the service their animal provides. Service animals are used for a wide variety of tasks, not limited to the deaf and blind. Some service animals are trained for medical alert and they save lives on a daily basis! Our veterans even use them for PTSD and other medical reasons (Mine is trained for medical alert, which is why he was there today, he is also trained in threat assessment, PTSD support, as well as other therapy support, and is being trained for more tasks) Your manager discriminated against people with disabilities and medical needs today, by trying to kick my service animal and myself out of your establishment. I understand not wanting people to bring their pets in your establishment, but to discriminate against a service animal when there were no customer complaints? I do not understand what her problem was or why she treated us in this way. One star only because the Bartender Nicole, our Server Tyrek, and the blonde lady who originally brought our food out, were extremely nice and very professional these three employees get 5 stars each! Nicole, Tyrek, and the first lady; all deserve promotions or at least a pay raise, but especially Nicole and Tyrek, these two are assets to your company and you need more people like them in management. They were extremely polite, professional, held great conversation, always checking in getting what we needed! I cant say enough good things and qualities about these two, because they really have it figured out, good at their job, extremely professional, all while holding good conversation, they really saved our Fathers day day brunch after how the manager treated us. But I am absolutely outraged at what happened today with the manager, Katie Brown, she was extremely unprofessional, rude, looked me in the eye and lied straight to my face . I took my father here for a fathers day breakfast/brunch. We only stopped here because I told him how good it was on my previous visits, and I wanted him to give it a try. We were excited to eat, we ordered our food. It wasnt very good but we didnt want to be rude and send the entire meal back however Just like anyone else I dont want to insult the chefs but I coudnt stomach what came out originally. We decided take the left overs home for the dogs, and head to a better BBQ place we knew of so my Dad could get his fathers day brunch. I had my registered service dog who was vested, who was fine with everyone, and was doing his job perfectly. He loved the sweet lady who brought our food out to us and our wonderful waiter Tyrek, who showed a lot of interest and was very kind and compassionate. Then one of the other waiters who was not our waiter ran up behind me and my dog, I think he stepped on his tail and it scared my dog so much (I think it hurt him too) that he let out a yelp and then barked at the waiter. The manager, Katie brown, who then proceeded to send the bartender, Nicole, to ask us to leave without ever coming to talk to us or showing her face to us. Now we had already asked for to go boxes and were in the process of leaving to go get some edible food . I Explained to Nicole that he was a service dog and by federal law had every right to be there, and asked why and by who we were being asked to leave? She then expressed how sorry she was and that she was only asking us because her manager asked her to do so. I let her know that is fine, but she needs to come talk to me herself and ask me to leave if that is what she wants. She refused to approached us, and she never apologized. So I approached her, asked her what that was all about she lied directly to my face and said she did not send the bartender over to tell us to leave and got really rude with me. We spent $100 for 2 people fathers day brunch, Thanks for ruining our day for no reason.

Ill keep this introduction (TL;DR) short and straightforward with the worst thing about Smoke: the food is a bit overpriced for what you get, but its unlikely that you will leave dissatisfied with the quality. And thats really the only reason I will dock it points right now. On my visit, I went during dinner service. It was pretty empty for a Friday night, which is usually a warning sign when you visit a fairly new restaurant for the first time. The ambiance was nice (they could use a little bit more decor near the entrance where the fireplace is located), and my party was seated promptly. Service throughout the visit was solid, and our waitress was able to explain parts of the menu in a concise manner. The items I tried during this visit: - House-made Smoke Sausage Sampler - Coffee Cured Natural Beef Brisket - EB&D Loaded Up & Truckin Burger The sausage sampler had a lot of good flavors, and combining it with the slaw that it came with only complements and enhances those flavors. I would totally order this again, though I would say the value falls about 2 dollars short of the price. The brisket had a somewhat unique but solid flavor that could reasonably compete toe to toe with most other brisket offerings in the DFW area. But while it may compete in quality, most of the local BBQ spots will be a better value for your money. The burger had a very unique flavor to it. It may not be up there with the best burgers Ive had, but it was definitely memorable due to its flavor profile. If I were to describe it, its like something you would find at a good hole-in-the-wall diner off the highway in the southeastern part of the US. I can see why they named it based on a song from Smokey and the Bandit. I do have 2 suggestions to improve the burger: 1) Cut the thick bacon into more than one strip so that it covers a greater surface area of the burger. 2) Dont include lettuce stems. They add unnecessary height to the already stacked burger, and makes it more likely that the bottom half of the bun (which is already absorbing juices from the meat and tomato) will fall apart in the diners hand and make a mess. The fries that came with the burger also had a very new and unique flavor that I havent had with fries before. It was good, but they were not savory enough for me to want to finish them. They needed a stronger flavor to keep me coming back... perhaps some salt? Or maybe I should have tried them with one of the 4 sauces they left at the table? Worth a try, but dont expect to fill up on them. Im giving it a 4-star rating because I enjoyed the flavors that are different from other BBQ places, even though it was overpriced. I suspect those prices are what is keeping this place from being busy on a Friday night. Perhaps they need to rework their menu a bit to reduce their costs and improve the value, but it will get a reasonably good recommendation from me.

So today my partner and I finally got around to trying this place and were pretty excited since its usually pretty busy and has generally positive reviews. We walked in and immediately noticed the interesting ambiance. Strangely, it was very slow during whats should have been a dinner rush. We were seated relatively quickly but ended up waiting 10 minutes for our server to come and take our drink order. The only reason we actually got attention was because the employee who seated us noticed that my partner was staring at him and our soon to be waiter. We got our drinks pretty quickly, but there was a quirk with the tea. I asked for sweet tea and he said he could do it, but instead returned with regular tea with an inch of simple syrup unmixed at the bottom. I actually would have been fine if hed had just said they didnt offer it and would have gladly taken regular tea. We received our fries shortly after that we ordered as an appetizer and he presented it without Katsup, which once again would have been fine, but he offered to return with some after taking our orders. During this whole process, our waiter only had one other table and wasnt busy and acted without a sense of urgency. Our entrées arrived and the Katsup never came. The regular seasoned fries were thankfully quite good. We ordered ribs and coffee brisket and both tried each others dish. The ribs were fantastic and the Mac and cheese was good and very warm aside well. The brisket arrived in two varieties, chopped and sliced. The chopped brisket was flavorful, but cold. The sliced brisket was dry and cold as well. The side of potato salad wasnt particularly flavorful, either. After we had finished, our waiter admitted without any prompt that it was his first day out of training. I got the impression that he was inexperienced due to the inefficient ways he worked and the inconsistencies of service. I could tell he was friendly though. This tells me that he needed more training and definitely some coaching because he had clearly not been shown how to provide a luxury service. This may solely be the fault of management, though, as his candor was good and he acted professionally. All in all, service was poor due to lack of training as I saw other patrons getting better service from another gentlemen. Food is good, but overpriced and flavor profiles are underdeveloped in some dishes. Unfortunately, due to the experience we had, we wont be returning as there are too many good places to get barbecue in the area. Even whole foods directly across the street has better brisket and other barbecue at a third the price.
