Horrible experience for my first taste of Korean. I ordered the combo (bulgogi/chicken)bento after reading a review on here and my poor friend ordered the tempura udon. Waiter was not very knowledgeable with the menu, repetitive, didnt listen to us (he kept telling me to order fish and spicy dishes after I said no spicy foods), and i had to tell him 4 times for non spicy chicken. He kept asking the same question again and again. Any way, the udon was tasteless and she was not satisfied with it. She asked to exchange it for something different, but this place does not strive for customer satisfaction. Waiter said, "no I cannot!". They could only add an order but not replace an order. She asked for a manager and explained to her why she did not like the food and if it was possible to get something different. The manager told my friend she touched it already so they would have to throw it away. My friend said, "yes you would have to because I cannot eat this". She asked her what she wanted and then asked, "what are you going to do if you dont like the second one? You cannot throw away again, we dont like wasting food!". Lol We were pretty shocked. So I told her to not place a second order, cause God knows what they would have done to that dish. Never will we return. I think we will stick with Chinese or Thai food. Nothing sounded appetizing on the menu and the table bbq bulgogi was $22 for each individual, which I thought was a little up there for a place like this. Do not recommend.

It was a Sunday night and we had a party of 7 people. We were excited to get to sit down, chat and hang out while cooking our own Korean BBQ. Driving up to the driveway, it looked closed. We checked and they were still open but completely empty. Not sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing that a restaurant is empty on a Sunday night. They sat us down quickly and got our drinks out right away. The water was obviously tap...a strong tap water at that. Since there were no other guests, they took really good care of us...a little too good! They basically stood over our shoulders and watched us! Food came out quick but instead of getting to cook for ourselves, they poured the meat onto the grill and began grilling for us. We just sat back and stared at one another. We felt rushed and didnt really get to enjoy savoring the food as we cooked. The food was GREAT but the service was overbearing. Plus, we didnt get as much for what we paid for. We all left with our bellies half full. We stopped by another place for yogurt afterwards and some of the guys wanted to stop by Jack and the Box because they were still hungry. Although the food was good, I would not recommend this Korean BBQ to any friends.

Went to eat at the Korean House with my date. I ordered a soup dish and she ordered a meat dish. When the check came, the price for the soup dish was more than the price listed on the menu by about $3. I called the waiter over and pointed this out to him. He said that on the weekends, the prices are more than what is listed on the menu. I told him this was a bait-and-switch and I was not going to pay more than the price listed on the menu. He got mad about this but I told him I was not going to pay a higher “weekend price” that was not advertised. He changed the ticket and I paid the price that was on the menu. What a scam! I will never go back to the Korean House again.

Korea house simply has the best Bulgogi I have found in Austin at an extremely reasonable price. Ordering Bulgogi includes probably 8 sides (kim chi, tofu, potato, spinach, etc) which all are great but I think these come with allot of other meals as almost every table seemed to have the same assortment. The refills on these are free which is awesome because I could probably eat a whole jar of kim chi in 1 sitting. The way I have always eaten bulgogi is to take a large piece of lettuce and add rice meat and all the toppings and make a korean taco I guess.Amazing food!

The worst service i hav ever got staff so rude specially Ms. Kim b4 asking for the last order she presented the bill to us. Chef was gone even b4 closing the kitchen so as we ordered they were not able to serve us they said they left before time. I strongly recomened not to go if u looking for hospitality. Food was ok but the service was not all good. Staff was making faces if we order something seemed like they dint want to serve. And as we said tht we are bot happy they gave a bottle go beer as a complimantry drink i mean wht were they trying to say...

I am still not over how bad the barbeque chicken was. They obviously used reheated dark chicken that was very tuff to eat. I took my son and wife (who is korean) there and they both felt the same. I have eaten the dinner menu at this place, however, and it is pretty good as the chicken or beef is barbequed right there at your table, so they have to use fresh meat. The price, however, is much more expensive than other restaurants that are not located in such a prime spot. The lunch was 1 star and dinner is 3.5 stars.

"No sushi on Sundays"? Please dont advertise it in your name then... The Korean food was pretty good, but the menu was confusing and didnt offer English descriptions and the waitress didnt understand when I started asking questions either. Beware if you have allergies and dont speak Korean. Finally, there was a mistake in the billing, but they did fix it. The experience was not very good, but the flavorful food partly made up for it.

Authentic Korean food at a great price. Other than the bulgogi, my favorite thing to eat is yookeh, a traditional beef tartare. Its so fresh and yummy!! My in-laws who are Korean like to take us all there when they come to town, and the staff is fluent in both Korean and English, making it a great environment for us all to enjoy a meal together. We are all happy and loyal patrons of this hidden gem, and we will be back soon.

Ive been here for over a decade, the food and service hasnt changed. Its always been great and always will be...its like going home to family. Love the food, first place I had Korean food and fell in love with it ever since. The sushi chefs are amazing and super sweet and will recognize if you become a regular! The lunch prices are fantastic! You get a little bit of variety which I love when I go out to eat.

Went here on a date night. The food is reasonably priced but there was a strange vibe. The waitress kept staring at me the whole time. Each table has a stove-like contraption with a metal grate underneath the table. Well...the grate fell on to us in the middle of dining! All these factors aside, though, the food was pretty good. I had sushi. My sweetie had a noodle dish. The service was really fast.
