This was one of the best places we have eaten at in Dallas. While visiting from MD. We stumbled across this wonderful Place. I had the burger, which tasted like it was cooked in someones backyard at bbq. So, delicious, juicy and tasty. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich which he loved. The staff was so kind and friendly. Service was prompt and food was piping hot when we received it. My husband also noticed a picture on the wall and come to find out, had a MD connection with what was one of the owners. We had a very nice chat and did some catching up. I hope to one day get to come back and visit. You home town residents are so lucky to have such a wonderful place to eat at.

Holy cow. We saw this place had 7 reviews at 4 and 5 stars each and now we know why. Their BBQ sauce is peppery and spicy, and their pulled pork and brisket is incredibly juicy and flavorful. My fiance and I expected the place to be smoky based off another review but its hardly smoky. Just that nice BBQ smoke smell. It only enhances everything, I think. Theres so many BBQ places in Dallas and I swear most of them feel cookie cutter and generic... I might not ever go anywhere else next time I feel like BBQ. Im always feeling up to trying new places, but I feel like Ive found "The Spot". Sign says burger island, fyi. Cant miss it. Dont miss out.

My boyfriend and I love eating BBQ.. if its worth our time! This place looks deceiving and may make you pass it by, but dont! I had the brisket sandwich with beans and my boyfriend had pulled pork with fries. They were both really good, his fries were perfectly crisp and seasoned. The price is very easy on the wallet as well. The owner is very nice and welcoming, you should give this place a try. There is also a unique side item, smoked mac n cheese. This dish is only served on WEDNESDAY and very popular with the regulars, so much so the owner runs out before dinner sometimes! I have yet to try it but I will be going back to try it!

Ok, so I love me some bbq and I love brisket with a nice bark, well I was disappointed when I went here, I had a lot of fat on some of my pieces I had more fat than meat and it really had no flavor kinda tasted boiled. The ribs were ok but I bit the first one and got a mouth full of fat, not good mind you I ordered a pound of ribs and only got 4 ribs and 1/2 pound of brisket and only got 4 slices.. never again will I go here or recommend it to anyone, I was not pleased at all. YOU SHOULD ONLY SALE MEAT BY THE POUND WHEN ITS WORTH IT AND YOUR SCALE IS SET CORRECTLY. I feel ripped off!

Why cant there be more stars?? I cannot reccomend this place enough! The owner Elton went above and beyond wonderful customer service. The food OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH the food! Had some Yankees coming to town who wanted some good Texas BBQ and boy did they deliver! I have found my new BBQ cater for my events here at work and am gonna truck it down there to see about the burgers! You want to try this joint! I am 100% satisfied and full as a tick! Thank you Elton and crew for a wonderful lunch!

I could not find this place when I first drove around because the sign out front says "burger island" while the sign on the door says "TX BBQ and Burgers" Its very Smokey inside from the smoker being inside. The meat is excellent! The sides are just ok. I had a brisket sandwich and coleslaw, also got a two meat plate with sausage and pork ribs, potato salad and baked beans. I want to go back and try the smoked Mac n cheese (now that I know where this place is...next to El Fenix)

This place was unexpectedly awesome! I was craving BBQ and my husband is a fiend for hole-in-the-wall joints, so he refused to take the easy road and go to Dickeys down the street. Best decision ever! Their BBQ Sauce is signature and for a good reason. The mac & cheese was also the bomb. The guys behind the counter were pretty awesome as well. Overall, a great find!

I hate to share this well kept secret, as Im afraid it will become so crowded that I wont be able to get in. But the owner and his food are so good that they deserve the success. Their pulled pork sandwich with (somewhat hot) sauce on the side are the best in town. The burgers are equal or superior to anything in Dallas. Barbecue and burgers - the perfect match.

This BBQ is a lot like Dickies, which is down the road a bit. Average at best. People talked about how nice the staff were. The young woman taking our order was pleasant but the rest were in a dour mood. I was hoping for a BBQ oasis in our end of town, other than Cattleack which is only open for lunch two days a week, but left still wanting.

If youre in Dallas, this place is a must try... Love their burgers! Believe it or not I ate here twice during our trip!!!... Owner and Staff were very friendly, excellent enthusiasm, keep up the good work serving customers. MyLuv and I enjoyed the scrumptious meals. Thank you we will see you all soon again:)

Went in there after a movie to get a burger and was not disappointed! Owner thought I wouldnt be able to finish the double bacon cheeseburger but I did. The burger was amazing, the staff was courteous and very welcoming. If anyone is looking for a good burger give this place a try it will not disappoint

Its a nice place, but the rib plate was not fresh. Very stale and not juicy as expected. Almost seemed like they have been there and just reheated them. The sides were good which were the potato salad and bbq beans. Other than that, its good. Ill try something new next time and keep yall updated.

I love those place. The best home cooked hamburger, straight off the grill, the way you want it. Best potato salad and beans. Ribs and pulled pork nice and tender. Great for this area. Try them you will like them. Call ahead for burgers, maybe a few minutes waiting but thats cool,

Just had The Big E sandwich with a side of smoked mac & cheese. Sausage and brisket sandwich was big enough for two people. Loved the smokey flavors in the mac & cheese. Also appreciate the fact I can get my lottery tickets and a bottle of wine in the same building.

We were on vacation from North Carolina this past week and we wanted to eat Texas BBQ, we couldnt of chosen a better place! This is best BBQ weve ever had. The pulled BBQ and. brisket sandwiches were amazing. We cant wait to come back again on future visits to Dallas!
