The first time I tried the Ames location was not a great experience. I pulled up to the drive-thru and asked the employee taking my order for another minute as I hadnt figured out my order . After hearing I wanted a minute, a loud audible sigh was my response. I place my order, pull up, and they tell me they are out of an item. No big deal. They ask if I would like to wait or select a substitute item. I say Ill select a substitute but I dont remember all the options. They just stare at me and I tell them I need a moment because I need to look up the menu on my phone. Eventually pick my item, wait, then they come back and say "oh sorry that item is gone too, but if you want to wait for your original item, itll only be 5 mins." I tell them thats fine I will wait and they ask that i pull around and park and someone will bring it out in just a few minutes. I sit in my car, filling out the survey, and notice that its now been 5 minutes. I continue to wait, watching the door, as another ~7 minutes pass. I decide I will go inside and check if theres a problem. Get inside and there are about 4 people waiting in line, lobby not super full, and a full pan of the entree I was waiting for on the line. Upon seeing me, and remembering I was waiting outside, the employee runs over to the line, puts my entree in a box and Im on my way. Upon eating our food, the entree I had elected to wait for, string bean chicken, was disappointing. The onions and beans were still raw. The chicken was cooked but the onions were very strong and not cooked enough. I will try it again as I am guessing it was just simply an Off day. I have heard others had great experiences.

We were at the South Duff location this evening and recieved horrible service and food. If I could do no stars I would! There was no greeting when we wlked in. No one even came up to is or looked at us. Then finally a girl yells out "let me know when your ready!" Most the bowls were empty so I asked if they were making more? Her response was " we slow down on making food when it is close to closing but I guess we can make somemore but youll have to wait." The cooking area was dirty and employees were yelling at each other. We will not be back and will not recommend this place. I dont think there was anyone in charge and clearly whoever owns this store needs to shut down and train the staff! Hands down worst experience!

The drive-thru is always a long wait. On one occasion we waited 20 minutes for our food after we were told it would be a few minutes extra of a wait (conveniently after we paid). Third visit was it and we are not returning after we were told we could not have an extra empty bowl so we can split food with our small children quote from Maria E., "because they are expensive." Shame on your manager and shame on your employees. Never will return to support this business location. Good bye!

The ISU campus Panda express consistently closes early. The website says open until 8. I found out they are really only open until 3. But dont show up at 2:15 because they pack all of their stuff up an hour early. No food was left when I got there. If you are open, you should be capable of serving the entire menu. Not just want is left over

Abby cant comprehend life all food was out on a 20 minute wait none of the food was made right, waited 25 minutes to order IN the store. whoever owns this place doesnt know how to operate a business, went there once NEVER again. Every. Single. Time. Every time I visit this restaurant, they are out of something I want and I am forced to awkwardly wait for 5-10 minutes as the line passes me by. This wouldnt be a problem if it happened once in a while. This happens 19/20 times I go to the Ames Panda Express.

What can I say, Its panda. Do you like super Americanized knockoff Chinese food and are stuck on campus? Then go here. If its lunch time and you need to eat quick, I would avoid this place though. They get people through pretty quick, but it get super slammed at lunch.

I eat here for lunch everyday and truly appreciate the hard work everybody pits in at this store. I am greeted and served with much kindness every time I arrive. Eva thanks me every morning for coming and she is always bright and happy to serve.

I dont know who she is, but shes wonderful. I dropped my food and the lady felt so sorry for me she gave me another bowl. This was after she had given me free spring rolls because they were out of everything I came for. She is so nice!

Panda Express in the middle of campus - what more could you want? Its a walk-up location but there are tables in the cafeteria area around the corner. Its been up to Panda standards everytime I have visited.

It can be a hit or miss on the speed of service. Sometimes it can be a 5 minute wait or even up to half an hour. Food is typically the right portion and tastes like any other Panda Express.
