Rating was a 5 changed to 1 based on an incident. Please read the full review for the whole experience. So Ive been to this place a couple of times before tonight based on friends recommendation and I LOVED it. Especially the king salmon. It melt in my mouth. Staffs are normally friendly, passionate about their food and would recommend based on your own preference. I once told the staff that i was on a no sugar and no carb diet before my coworkers orders chip dips as appetizer, i was like "okay ill just eat the dip." The waiter brought me cucumber slices for me, without having me ask for it. I decided this is my favorite seafood place in Dallas. HOWEVER, everything changed in one dining. So i took this girl out for dinner here, we ordered and shared king salmon (still my favorite), bluefish ( a bit too plain and fishy) and a dozen raw oysters. I had salmon and oysters HERE before and never had a problem. But then, after about an hour and half, i felt this growling in my stomach while we were watching a movie. I was embarrassed and just try to hold it. But then she told me, 10 minutes later, that she needed to use the restroom really bad. And she asked me if im okay. I was like "what??? Im fine. Alright maybe a little" but yea i was lying. Long story short, i had to give her a ride home cuz tonight is not working for her. I called the place on my way home and told the manager the whole story. First, he sounded really annoyed; second, as soon as i finished, he asked when did i dine in and when I answered, he immediately said "oh ill sure check with the chef. But it cant be food poisoning as that takes more than 24 hours and u just had food here 2 hours ago" I was really really DISAPPOINTED. The first thing that u said to me is to tell me that this isnt ur fault?! That attitude pissed me off so bad. What are the odds? We havent seen each other for a while, we didnt eat anything before or afterwards. Anyway, will NOT repeat again. Ever.

Order: 1:Cajun Crab cake w/ red beans & rice. 2: Clams & Muscles in a white wine sauce. D: Bread Pudding w/ Ice Cream M: I got order 1. The crab cake was amazing! Fresh crab meat & seasoned perfectly. Our waiter was great & brought me both the house made remoulade sauce & house made lemon butter sauce. They were both yummy , but I prefer the lemon butter! It complimented the crab very nicely. The red beans & rice were good as well & soft corn bread. Not too much of a spice too it though. C: 2nd Order. Keeping it light today, I decided to get the tasty Muscle & Clams. They were prepared in a white wine butter sauce. They were perfectly tender & melted in your mouth! I wish I had more! The French bread was a great side, dipped into the sauce was amazing. We visited on a Sunday evening with reservations for a larger party. Celebrating a birthday with family. Our waiter (Noah I believe his name was) was very nice & explained everything to us new-comers. Good atmosphere & helpful staff. They way they keep your drinks fresh is an awesome trend. They place a bucket with pebbles of ice & self serving spoon next to a fish shaped water craft on your table. If you get sodas, they will bring refill in a mini craft. The entire family enjoyed their food & service. Food is on the high end of the money spectrum, but with everything being fresh, you can certainly tell why. Other dishes enjoyed were: Fried shrimp basket (AMAZING! Better then Pappadeaux’s), Shrimp & Grits (good flavor, needs a few more shrimp) Gumbo, & Blackened Tilapia. We also shared some flaming bread pudding & ice cream. It was pretty good too, a little heavy with the alcohol to make it flame. It absorbed into the dessert, but Some may like it ha!

My wife and I were there tonight for the first time and it wasnt the best first impression. Being from Louisiana we love fresh seafood, our FAVORITE! I first must say that the atmosphere was terrific, lively and in the spirit of good times. The staff was pleasant and very welcoming. My experience took a slight move south of great with the Cracker Dipper appetizer. It wasnt a terrible dish, just would have appreciated a tad more crab and shrimp pieces in that mound of crème cheese. My next move south came with my entrée, The Steam Bowl. I want it known that the dish was very flavorful, especially that broth. I asked the server, name not known, if I could have it very spicy and was told I could. It was not prepared spicy, and I was given a small dish of spice to add myself. Of course the flavor and spice is more enhanced in the heating process. My only seafood issue with the dish was the mussels. I would much rather of had 3 or 4 larger meatier mussels than the dozen or so small less meatier mussels. They were too much of a teaser. The second issue was there were no potatoes in my bowl. When I brought it to the servers attention he said he would take care of it. I was brought a dish of potatoes on the side by another staff member and they were cold. Later replaced with warm potatoes, but I was at the point of finishing my meal. The king crab, clams, shrimp, sausage and corn were great. My wife had the Crab Cake and loved it. No worries, we LOVE seafood, and we will come again.

Beware!! This is the restaurant that you should frequent if you enjoying being treated like a criminal. The scallops were undercooked, but otherwise food was good. As we were leaving, we were talking about what a great date we had. Will never go back because of the way that they treated us after we had paid the bill and were walking down the long sidewalk in front of the restaurant. We were chased down by our waitress like we had skipped the bill. She had given us the wrong ticket and wanted us to come back and pay for the right one. When we walked back into the restaurant, the general manager, Jared, made us feel like criminals. Everyone in the restaurant was gawking to see what had happened. It was so embarrassing and so unnecessary. It was not our fault that the waitress had brought us the wrong ticket. With quite an audience, he brought us a check and we paid again. I heard this lady sitting at a table near the door say - looks like they tried to leave without paying, but they got caught. She wondered if they would call the police. We were given a business card for a free appetizer, but that in no way compensates for the way that they treated us. Now we noticed that the credit for the first ticket that we paid has not been returned to our account. So we paid twice for the right to be treated horribly. I could understand an untrained employee handling the situation poorly like this, but the general manger? Stay away.

We arrived ten till noon, customers were inside, there was hostess seating people. Ten minutes passed before we saw our waitress, we ordered immediately. Poke appetizer came out within 5 minutes wasnt very good. Then we waited until one twenty for our food. My husband spoke with the manager about the wait, she called him a lair about how long we had waited, which Google location history showed us to be correct. She told us they werent open when we got there just that the hostess was nice enough to seat us, without telling us they werent even open yet and handing us menus. The manager was the most rude and combative person Ive ever encountered in the service industry. She approached me, at my table, I stood up to speak with her as my husband had left to go to work. She yelled at me with no provocation, she had brought her husband to confront us, who didnt say one word, she threatened to call security and kick us out without me having said one word. Neither I, my husband, nor his parents had ever encountered such a B***H. It was completely unbelievable how she acted. Safe to say I, nor any of the patrons seated within 30 feet of our table, will ever return. The sad part is the food was actually good.
