Had my first visit to Nashville a few days ago, and my nephew told me to be sure that I stopped by this bar. Best recommendation ever! Walked in to amazing music (Kassie and Wilson performing on a Friday afternoon), Laura behind the bar made us feel like regulars returning after being gone too long. It was a struggle to leave, but we were in town for a wedding and had to keep on schedule. Managed to sneak back to Broadway after the wedding the next night, and we did the stroll looking for a place to stop and listen to the music. I wasnt surprised when we ended up back at Benchmark, perched on barstools as the charming Vanessa and more fantastic music made the evening fly by. Cant wait to go back to Nashville, and I guarantee that a couple of visits to Benchmark will be on our schedule!

I am only writing this review for the burger. Yes, it was and is amazing. The service is terrible. Nobody behind the bar will come clear off a table for you or even come ask you for an order. Now this is during busy Friday nights or Saturdays. But the cheese burger I have had there is really amazing. Im not one for the popular places in a town. Im more attracted to a good pub with a good burger. This place has the burger but you might have to wipe off your own table and go to the bar to order to get it.

Drink prices are good. Especially for being right in the middle of the Nashville fun. Service is good as well. Isaac Mathews and Jordan Taylor were playing when we went in. What a great show. Theyre a lot of fun to watch and listen to. My wife asked them to play our wedding song and they nailed it! We enjoyed their set so much were heading back to see them again today!

Fun place with some great music. However, myself, husband, and cousin all made the same comment, independently, about the booze being watered down. Not a coincidence. Weve all bartended and grown up in the bar/restaurant industry, so we arent amateurs in figuring this out. If you go, skip the mixed drinks/cocktails and go for a beer.

The best bar in my opinion. I stayed in Nashville for 3 days and I went to this bar all 3 days. Great music and the bartender was amazing. Made me feel bee welcomed. I plan to go back to Nashville in few months and this place will be the first and last to visit!!

fun little dive bar in the heart of Nashville downtown! Wife and I visited while on a pub tour and tried the Ski Shot with two other new friends, quiet the experience! Sneak up stairs for a quieter remote bar experience if theres too many people downstairs

great time, fun place, we were there right after the flood a few years ago, and they were up and running. the staff was friendly and the music was great. I am meeting family from Fl. in Nashville and we will definitely hit this spot

Probably my favorite place to visit in Nashville. Ive always liked the people playing and theres enough tvs to catch a game or two. It can get crowded but Ive never had to wait too long to order. Prices arent too bad either.

The bar area is all old brick and rustic--looks and feels great. Unfortunately, they put the stage in the front window, so the brick columns that look so good block 50% of the live music.

One of my favorite places. Love the Natalie Brady Band. The jury is out on the bartenders - easy distracted by someone sitting at the bar, but totally willing to give them another chance.
