The owner will cut you a six inch and clearly give you the side that is shorter. He will make you feel like he doesnt want you do be there. His melancholy attitude will make you not want to return. If anyone else is making your sandwich then i would say go ahead but he is a grumpy old man and he will ruin your sandwich experience. I recommend going to any other subway if possible.
