If I could rate it a zero I would. Extremely overpriced for the quality of food and service. Went for an early dinner on a Saturday. Only 4 other tables beside us and they were couples. Took the waiter 30 mins to get our drink order and 30 more to bring them. Tea was too strong with a stale old after taste. The sweet potato fries were not my style and cold anyway. They do not offer tartar sauce, only the "house" horse radish dip. Disgusting. Broccoli coleslaw was full of sugar, I MEAN SUGAR. Took another 45min to place dinner order for 7 people and 1 hour 15mins for food to come out. 2 in our table received their food 20mins after the rest of us. Had bathroom breaks in between all the waiting and you have to pass by waitstaff to and from and they will bump into you or shove by you to get to bar area or dining area. ENTIRE waitstaff, cashier staff, bar staff stood around chatting ignoring patrons. It was my mothers bday and so we politely ate and left and even tipped the waiter 100 dollars because WE WILL NEVER COME BACK AND RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO SKIP THIS PLACE. NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING SPECIAL, UPCLASS, OR WORTH IT TO GO HERE. BEWARE!

This is the first time I have been to a restaurant where waiters are better than the manager. Having said that we were lucky to get a great waiter because we saw some that were just as awful. Heres what happened: We were a party of 15 people, 6 adults 9 kids. After getting there and asking to be seat together the hostess completely disregard our request and sat as completely apart from each other. We proceeded to put our orders and 4 of us got our orders while the rest took over 1 hour and 30 minutes to get. When we asked to speak with the manager she came and bluntly lied about what had happened and the reason for the delay knowing we were all together. The food was nit good at all and the management was the worst I have ever seen, she didnt even apologize for the delay! Avoid this place.

I personally know three people who work here. I wanted to go eat there, since I enjoy seafood and from Corpus. ALL three of them told me not to eat there; one of them is a family member and they stated, "we drop food sometimes, we use the same old grease just add clean grease to the used grease, we just rinse or dust off the food that we drop and serve it". Lastly, the employee do not eat there on break due to knowing how food is handled and how it is not kept up clean in the back. They said what the buyer doesnt know wont hurt them but it keeps the workers from eating there not unless they themselves have someone make the food for them and they know its being done right. So, thats all it took for me to stay away, having personal insight from the workers is best.

I love the Railroad Seafood Station...the food is great and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Great bartenders like Carlos work there (who is also a very amazing and creative culinary master ) and Nate who is very experienced and creative drink master a take great care of their people plus are a lot of fun to be around. Excellent waitstaff like Grace and Casey liven the place up with their lively personalities and dedication. Other wonderful people like Mario, Shawn, Daniel, and Jennifer are always ready to greet you with a warm smile and you always feel welcome while you are there! So many great people all in one location....I would recommend it to everyone with no reservations!!

My food was decent but overpriced. I had drum and oysters. Not my first choice, but as they were out if the special and out of scallops I made do. My wife ordered the chicken fried steak, baked potato and a salad. The salad was reported as good. The potato was very old and visibly brown. My wife could not eat it. My wife could only finish half of her steak it was so bad. In addition our service was horrid. I only got one refill I had to ask for. My wife's tea spoon was covered in a baked on green .....stuff, that I hope was avocado. Took the waitress about ten minutes to come back around so that we could ask for the tea to be replaced.

8/23/2014 experience. Avoid at all costs. 10 minutes to be acknowledge by waiter. food took 1 hr and 15 minutes after order. Shrimp overcooked and rubbery. fish cold and soggy (Gulf Platter and Conductors Platter). Hobo Frys were best thing on plate! Roach crawled across top of booth and across table. Paid $ 66 for worst sea food in my life. Could have gone to Long John Silvers for better service, reasonably priced sea food, hot sea food and probably a better meal. This is the first time to write a restrant review - took time and trouble to warn people!

The Railroad Seafood Station located at 1214 Chaparral scored an 89. Health inspectors a dirty ice machine, bartenders glasses needed to be washed thoroughly, walk in freezer was not working properly, gnats, employee cups needed lids and employees were not wearing beard guards. Other violations include wiping towels not stored properly, scoops with handles needed to dispense dry goods, ice cream scoops were not store properly, the area around and underneath the deep fryers and grill needs to be cleans and the kitchen shelves need to be organized.

Came here for lunch, had the chicken fried steak. It was spectacular. The broccoli slaw is phenomenal. Service during Friday lunch was prompt and more important...accurate. Our server Roger was on the spot. Wonderful. experience, will be coming back. .........three weeks later and the dinner visit is refreshing. Wife and son had a wonderful dinning experience. Food is definitely among C.Cs best. Grilled chicken with baked red potatoes and squash was perfect. Ronnie our server was top drawer. Thank you Ronnie for a pleasant dinning experience.

We went based on the reviews. First you should know this is not a seafood restaurant, it is a restaurant that has some seafood. I had the chicken fried steak it was ok. I did not like the broccoli slaw and the hobo fries are well just french fries. My wife and daughter had coconut shrimp, and some kind of shrimp pasta. They said it was pretty good. I felt like the wait staff didnt even care if we were there though. Its an OK place to go to eat but not if you want seafood then you would need to go to a real seafood restaurant.

Snobby wait-staff. The hobo fries are supposed to be a combination of sweet potato and regular fries... we each had only 4 sweet potatoes in a stack of regular. The special sauce for fish tacos is disappointing. Also, to be fancy they squirt the sauce all over the taco... making it impossible to eat without making a giant mess. Obviously the chef doesnt eat tacos or he would know how to serve them so you could politely eat them. There was a lot of hype about this restaurant... I found it disappointing, at best.

We went to a birthday party. The waitress was slow. It took 20 minutes to get a drink. We ordered dinner and an hour later still did not get our food. We asked and the waitress kept saying it will be out soon. We had to leave for a movie and I cancelled the dinners with the waitress who was busy texting someone. The manager came out and apologized but didnt offer even to comp. a drink. Went to the movie starving. Usually food is good, but you have to get it first. Last time I go there.
