Im going to preface this with IT WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES. My wifes 5 star review is actually here too (Sarah S.), but to hell with that. WE are fed up with the customer service. Your delicious catfish can go ahead and P*** off. This is 3rd time in a row Ive been treated like a person in an enemy prison camp when trying to receive customer service on par with the cost of this food. I wont lie to you, the food is good. However, when your order is perpetually not what you ordered and the "famous" lady at the front desk drops a metric ton of rudeness on you, you decide enough is enough. My wife had one of the worst days in our entire marriage and the last thing she needs is the Fish Nazi screwing our order up and being unapologetic about it. When I called to ask if we ordered wrong or she wrote it down wrong I actually didnt get to speak or talk to anyone for over 3 minutes (thats only the amount of time I counted). She picked up the phone, set it down without saying hello, hold, please wait, etc. She just set it down ignored me for over 3 minutes, and then picked up the phone finally and proceeded to tell me it was my fault they got our order wrong. Id actually not write this if shed just have said sorry. I would be really nice if she just admitted mistakes and apologized. That would be 75% of what Im asking for. When I call back to the restaurant to explain that my order is wrong (in a very respectful manner I might add, no sarcasm actually) and Im greeted with how it must be our fault, its not what we ordered, we should check our food before leaving, etc, Im done. I actually know the owners son, the family, weve been loyal customers for 10 years, bragged about them, warned them about the Fish Nazi... NO FISH FOR YOU!, and despite all this, we will no longer eat here, recommend it, etc. Ill actually make a point of informing people that there are, in fact, other places to get decent seafood AND they wont hate you for forking over too much money for what youre getting. Due to the stubborn nature of the woman at the front counter (shes also the owner) and her inability to admit fault, smile, thank you for your business, or at least fake like shes happy youve chosen her restaurant to overspend your money at; I can come to only one conclusion. They do not want to stay in business and they simply want to fail. Well I for one will let them and I hope you will too. Id hate to drag the lifespan of this place for too long.

I am very very very disappointed today. I am normally a big fan of Wichita fish. Their food is great... but thats all you can say about the place. If you go, you MUST call in an order. They give no attention to people who stay there to eat. There will be times at busy times of the day where there is nobody up front for 2-4 minutes at a time. If you get there and there are a lot of call ins before you they give no warning as such so I just sat there for 30 minutes waiting on some food. I normally call in the order but today I decided to just try my luck and go in there. What happened next was the shocker. When I placed my order I was given my receipt. I sat down, played a game on my phone and listened to music because I knew what to expect and was ready for it. I waited there for quite some time and eventually i noticed a person who arrived after me and ordered after me was given their food. I went up to the register and said that I was still waiting for my food. The woman said just a second, went in the back, came back out and said they dont have cornmeal for the catfish and they have nothing from the order started. This was after a very long wait already so I just said I need my money back please. It had been a year or so since i went in there... it might be another two or three before I go out of my way again. That is actually saying a lot though... this place will still stay in business if I dont go because it is so delicious (when they actually give it to you)

I used to like this place, as it is (was) one of the best places in Wichita to order seafood dishes, but their quality is going downhill rather fast. Just today, I bought some fish, got home, took a large bite of coleslaw and was greeted by a severe bite of saltiness, I mean so much saltiness that I almost puked. I called them and asked what the deal was, and the lady who answered said they used salt instead of sugar in the coleslaw recipe accidentally, and I wanted to know if I could have an equal priced side in place of my horrendous coleslaw, but she said, "Im sorry, we cant do that.". Wichita Fish Co. just lost a long time customer who gave them at least $200 a month for their previously great food and service, and I suggest anyone debating whether or not to go here, to just buy some Louisiana breading and their seafood of choice and make their own meal, as that is pretty much all this place uses on their foods.

My first time eating here. We went around the side to order and I thought that was all to the place....but it wasnt. There were cars all pulled in the parking lot in front of the restaurant. We parked on the street right in front. We ordered and were offered to sit inside which had about 6 groups of patrons. Everyone was eating and focused on their food. I ordered frog legs and catfish fillet.k my first time eating frog legs too!) And it was good. The woman checking is out at the register was nice. I told her the food was good and she welcomed me back. Unfortunately , I had to head back to New york that day. The place isnt a fancy 5 star spot...i love it anyway. It has a good feel when you go in. the food and the service is worth it. Try it out. If you like fish and they have a large selection at great prices.

This place has great food, but the service is TERRIBBLE!!! The lady is always rude and the food is never done when they say. Today I ordered two catfish dinners with cornmeal. She asked me, "flour or cornmeal?" I picked up the food and they were wrong. She was rude when I called to tell her they were wrong and said I didnt say cornmeal. Well my co-worker (whos food was wrong too) heard me! I dont have time to leave and go get the right thing, so Im stuck eating something I dont like. I wont be going back due to the service.

Unfortunately it took me a long time, as well, to find this wonderful sea food restaurant. I stumbled upon this place while out for a bike ride and love it! They have most any kind of sea food you can think of. I tried the Cajun catfish fillet and it was so tasty. Unlike many other sea food places I’ve tried it wasn’t super greasy and you could really taste the catfish. The catfish was served on a bed of veggie’s and rice along with cole slaw and homemade hush puppies! I love this mom and pop fish house!
