Easter Sunday, a group of three of us dined at Newport Grill for their brunch buffet. According to the menu, there was a variety of delicious foods to include prime rib, salads, sweets and more. We had a great table with a view of the pond/lake at Bradley Fair. Unfortunately, the food was a lot to be desired. Much of the food was cold when it should have been warm or hot. They ran out of many dishes and in my opinion, did not plan well ahead for the amount of business to expect. In order to get the dish you wanted, you had to wait a bit until they filled the platters back up. That took anywhere from 10-15 minutes. Also, the prime rib was grossly under cooked, even at the ends. If you wanted medium rare, they had to take a slice back to the kitchen and grill it. Let’s just say the prime rib mooed a few times. In my opinion, more care should have been taken to prepare for an Easter Sunday crowd, especially with the cost of a place at Newport Grill. Sorry guys, but I hope if I ever visit Newport Grill again, you are out to impress me.

We have a group that goes out a couple of times a month for brunch, we decided to pick Newport Grill today, while the view was awesome the service was great the food, was really now what we have expected. There was allot of menu items that we have seen on other buffets as hasbrowns, egg Benedict etc. They did not have tese items. Also the prime rib was cold and we had to ask for some real horseradish sauce. When you have prime rib you must have Aju sauce (sorry about the spelling) we asked our server if we could get some and she replied that they do not have it for brunch that is a lunch item?? I asked the butcher about this as well he said he wishes they had it because a lot of customers ask for it. Why the view was great the service was wonderful we will not be back, just not allot of selection and the items that were we found just not very tasty. Also most Brunches run around $14-$15 dollars $19 for there Buffet WOW!!

The manager is a jerk and totally lacks a sense of customer service. First visit. We wanted to use a $10 off $30 purchase card to try out Newport Grills hor douevres. We pre-flighted the use of the card with the waitress and understood it couldnt be used for drinks - fine. The hor douevres turned out to be $3 off during happy hour so we bought three and added a desert to get up to the $30 minimum. At check time the manager said the card couldnt be used for discounted items. We read the back of the card together for its T&Cs and all he could point to was the phrase "dine in only" which it is what we had just finished doing! No mention of "cant be used with other discounts." He was a jerk in the process. With 2 drinks the tab was over $60 -- what a joke on us for our $30 visit. Left mad, wont be back, and all because he didnt want the $10 benefit from the card to be used.

*VERY weak cocktails....consistently. *No one there seems to know how to open an oyster without shredding and mangling it to pieces. *Extremely poor service all around, but especially for Sunday brunch. I was even completely ignored for the entire 30 minutes that I was there once: had to get my own water and coffee after waiting for twenty minutes without any wait staff approaching, which was then promptly removed from my table when I got up to go through the buffet line! *Brunch items consistently dried out, over cooked and unrefreshed, not to mention low quality and sparse (especially for the price!) to start with. Would NOT recommend this restaurant for dinner, happy hour or brunch For the same price, the quality of the brunch at Yia Yias is considerably higher quality, with better and higher quality selections as well as much much better service.

Fresh fish (Tuna and Cod) was excellent and well cooked. A bit too many different tastes in the meal, though. More simplicity and less of a mixture would do it all good. Portion was perfect (for european taste) without any starters or need for desert. Staff was helpful and friendly. The location is nice, we sat outside, looking over the small pond. Good place to pass some time. Very expensive (for european standards), especially considering quality-price level. Count 40 $ for good dinner and around 60 $ if you want a starter or drink, too.

Wow! What a gem of a restaurant! Scrumptious, freshly-prepared food. The scratch kitchen is most receptive about accommodating special requests. Impressive wine list, nicely arranged: especially helpful for the non-oenophile. Impeccable service without being intrusive. Relaxing interior design. Enchanting views of Bradley Fair’s lake/island – especially donned in holiday lights. Yes, a tad pricey, but worth every penny. When you want to pamper yourself or entertain/impress guests – Newport Grill is your destination. Bon appetit!

Newport is one of my favorite restaurants in Wichita for special occasions. The food is always great and the service is always impeccable. Ive never had a dish that I didnt enjoy immensely or that I ever had to to send back. The wait staff is always friendly and very helpful with entree and wine suggestions. My most recent server was Stephanie who did a wonderful job. I recommend Newport to all my business colleagues for dinner meetings and to all my friends looking for a excellent venue for a special night.

Their atmosphere was very nice. Its a quite atmosphere. Upper scale.Their food was a little pricey especially for portions. While the food was very good and the seafood is flown in that they identified your seafood wouldnt be more than 48 hours old. The food decoration is eliquant and stylish obviously more of a look than a portion. One thing I will have to say is the mixed drinks here are fantastic. They know how to make some good drinks (about $8 a peice though).

Well I took my family here for a dinner last Friday the general manager was a complete jerk to us he was so stressed out and the other manager on duty needs a uniform, badly. The host chewed gum all loudly and wasnt super friendly I felt like I was at fox and hound. I dont see this place staying in business much longer the food was so so for the price, and the place is too small you can hear a conversation all the way across the room.

Made reservations for our 35th anniversary. They were not busy and we saw plenty of wait staff. We were completely ignored. After sitting at our table for over 10 minutes and not even getting water we left. First time in 35 Anniversaries that we left the restaurant before eating. With this kind of service they will not be around long. We ended up at Bone Fish where they made us a special dessert for our anniversary.

I sometimes get the fettuccine alfredo without meat, and its the best Ive ever had. The pasta tastes like its made from scratch. I LOVE the Arugula salad. It has fennel, celery, cranberries, goat cheese, apple, sherry vinaigrette. I get it as a meal. Even if you dont normally like salad, you will like this salad. The complimentary bread, and light and fluffy butter with salt is some of the best in town. VEGETARIAN
