It appears that a lot of people that Ive talked to do not know that Hil-Mak has two sides. One side of the building (left side) that opens to the side street has a small store for ordering seafood to go like a meat market. On top of ordering fresh raw fish to take home and cook, you can also order sandwiches and plates to go from the seafood store side. The front side that has a large parking lot in front of it is a restaurant. Their seafood and sides are fresh and good, decent prices, and very friendly staff.

We moved from Ashtabula last year. We miss the food, service and prices at Hil-Mak. The dining room is charming. The fish is fresh and well prepared. Eight years ago, my mother had the creme brulee for desert. She is 80 years old and still ranks it the best ever.

Food was excellent , waitress was caring, the dinning area was not cramped , the owner came and talked with me , Maryland Crabcakes were awesome . The entire staff came out for a picture . I recommend the Hil-Mak Restraunt it is a Gem in hiding ...
