Unfortunately, Google did not allow me to add a sixth star, because this was a uniquely wonderful experience. Our server, Sabrina, was attentive, and she offered great recommendations instead of the standard, "Everything is good." In fact, we were choosing between a menu item and the special, and she said, "Get the special! We have the redfish every night, you can come back for it." For starters, the calamari was as good as any Ive ever had, tender with light breading. One of us did have the orange roughy special, another had three decent sized crab cakes for $18! Shes picky about crab cakes, too, and she loved them. I had the redfish, and it was great. Everything, including the creative and delicious salad dressings, was amazing. At one point, the chef came to check on us, but we were so enthralled with the food, that I dont think that anyone could say more than, "Myom, myom, myom!" To finish the night, Sabrina really pushed the banana pudding. We were all full, but she had steered us right all night, so we bought one to split. It was the creamiest, homemade, pudding Ive ever eaten. All this, and none of their seafood dishes are more than $20. The steak is around $25, and wine prices are pretty reasonable, too. Do yourself a favor, eat at Silver Sage.

Robyn, the owner, has some awesome people under her direction in this little hidden jewel of Canyon Lake. The pork chop is a two-bone chop that is an excellent choice for the taste choosy carnivores. For the more nutrition conscious, there are several large salads to choose from, each which can have shrimp or chicken breast added. The homemade dressings are a surprise too. Everything is fresh, including the herbs and jalapenos in the dressings, breadings, and sauteed veggies. The wine list is limited, though varied enough to have something for a nice dinner out with friends. This place is nice, yet unpretentious. The food is excellent. Sometimes service can get slowed during the peak of a dinner rush as there are only 2-3 servers. This staff is dedicated to ensuring you enjoy the food and your experience. Best to go early to avoid the rush. Only open for dinner... Fine dining in a casual atmosphere. Try the fish tacos...

One of the most enjoyable dining experiences my wife and I have had. Diane started with a cup of crawfish bisque. She was born in Louisiana and raised on Cajun cuisine and though it had a creamier base than what she was raised on it was delicious. I had a "happy hour" finger food called jalapeño bottle caps. Garden fresh peppers dusted with what I think was corn meal and fried. Gonna see if they can overnight them to my house. Wife had a double cut pork chop about 2in thick glazed with a maple syrup reduction. Very tender. I had the prime rib eye that they said was 12oz but I know steak and it looked like 14-16oz to me. Grilled to perfection. Topped with fresh grilled jalapeños and a jalapeño béarnaise sauce. Both entrees came with a grilled vegetable medley and potatoes that will speak for themselves. The owner,Robin, was very gracious and made sure every customer was satisfied. Dont deprive yourself from this food !!!

Inviting with its décor, adjacent patio tables and umbrellas, we were more than pleased with its menu offerings. A nice touch is the professionally attired and friendly waitresses. Its décor and attitude is sophisticated, yet warmly charming. Our meals were exceptional in preparation, exceeding our big city expectations and especially on a Monday night. We did not order from their extensive wine list or bar. Although there was a large group having a dinner party, our server Anna brought our meals promptly. As we viewed many dishes being served, we complimented its owner, Robyn on the preparation of its patrons selections, appeal of the restaurants image and diverse menu. Lets keep this jewel sparkling by experiencing Silver Sage, patronizing it often and telling others about it as I just did. Menus are available to take with you to give to friends or post on social networks.

Food was amazing, we ordered the chicken piccata & the jalapeño salmon burnaise. We met the owner after our meal, who was busy setting tables and cooking food, and still had the time to stop and chat with us. It annoys me when people leave poor reviews without actually letting the restaurant know beforehand and giving them an opportunity to fix the situation. Someone complained the floor was dirty, perhaps the restaurant was busy and was more interested in getting out quality food and service before stopping to tend to the floor? Someone else complained the restaurant is small and has limited seating, do you have any idea how much retail space goes for by the foot? Small businesses have to start small before going bigger or else they fail before they get off the ground. This place is fantastic and well worth the stop.

This place was fabulous. I travel all over and this wonderful restaurant was a treat. They have taken the time to really research and create tasteful dishes and are unique but still true to the Texas Hillcountry. I ordered the pork chop cooked medium and it was fantastic as well as the vegetables and potatoes that it came with. I only wish the side portions were I bit larger. The appetizers we got were just as well prepared. I was also privileged to eat some of my sister in laws salmon which had a great but different flavor that stayed true to salmon. Wonderful work. Our waitress Sabrina was very kind and caring as well. If I am ever back in the area I will most definitely drive out of my way for this one!

This was the single worst restaurant experience Ive had since moving out here to Canyon Lake. The food was disgusting. I ordered a menu item that the waitress said was very popular. I ended up with a rancid tasting dish. It came out cold, and smelled like it had been re-heated. It tasted like the meat sat out for a day or two before they decided to cook it. I ate a few bites, and today I am sick to my stomach. I really like all of the other restaurants out here and was really excited to try this one. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed.

Overall its a good restaurant, nothing spectacular but it is good dont get me wrong. We ordered the fried pickles and they had to be sent back because they werent cooked enough and when they brought them back they used the same plate which for a restaurant of this quality I expected a new platter and sauce. I had the pecan crusted chicken with veggies and potatoes. It was all good but nothing super special. Overall good experience just nothing super special.

Well it was pretty terrible, food sounded like it would have tasted well but since we werent even offered the opportunity to eat Id have to say that this was my worst experience at a restaurant ever. People who came in 10 minutes after us were offered a drink before us so we got up and left. My wife and I may look young but not being valued as a customer will pretty much do it for me. Never coming back and I will make sure that others know

I love this place. It is a little bit pricey but not really considering the quality. It is pretty small but it is amazing. I like everything I have had there. It seems odd to have Fried Pickles then Pork Chops but they are so amazing. The desserts are great too. I have met the owner and he is nice too. I always like to take people there when they come and visit.
