My experience was deplorable! My friend and I came for dinner around 4:30. The place was almost empty. After we got our food we were eating, and all of a sudden my friend started choking and was having difficulty breathing. I was in shock and told her to breath through her nose and try to drink some water. When she tried, she could not swallow and immediately threw it back up. This went on for another minute or so. The manager came over and asked if everything was ok. I told him no, he stood there for a minute as I gave my friend my napkin, as she continued to cough and spit water and food onto the floor. The manager? Well, he walked away. As I continued to administer to my friend, the waitress walked up. I asked her to get more napkins and she walked over a picked a paper cocktail napkin. I told her I needed something more, my friend was coughing and spewing mucus and water. She then picked a few more paper napkins, and at that point I told her we needed cloth napkins! Again, the manager came by again, asked if she was okay. I told him no, she is choking and when I looked over again, he was gone. I could see in the kitchen that the staff was in there, staring at us. No one did a thing! Long story short, I have never been so appalled at the lack of concern, or a total lack of leadership in this situation. Finally someone came out of the kitchen and pretty much said what do you expect us to do. The waitress came out and said, I dont know how to do the Hiemlick manuver, my Dad is a Dr and if he was here maybe he could help. As all that was going on, my friend coughed up what was in her throat. I was in shock with the total lack of concern, action of any sort, and the defensiveness of the staff. When my friend composed herself, totally embarrassed, the waitress asked if we wanted anything else, and I told her the bill. Which was promply delivered. We left having barely touched our meals. So if you would like to pay for mediocre food, and risk the chance of needing something as minor as commom decency, this is your place. I will NEVER go there again. The staff acted like 13 year olds! Obviously had no clue how to calm a situation down, offer kindness, or care. WOW.

I visited Chisos Grill this Memorial Day weekend. Our waiter was Reed and he was very attentive. We ordered a Chisos Sampler and all were very pleased with the queso, guacamole, and salsa. My husband ordered chicken fried steak, I ordered the shrimp basket, and my friends had hamburgers. We were all impressed with the quality of the food. My friends also ordered the tortilla soup (on the recommendation from my sister who had eaten at Chisos earlier in the week). They agreed with my sister, who thought it was the best tortilla soup shed ever had. I would recommend Chisos to any of my friends. My experience there was awesome. I will definitely be back.

First time visitor. The truffle fries account for 90% of my rating. They were SO incredible. The firecracker shrimp tacos were also delicious. Atmosphere was great. However, the side of green beans that came with my meal were so spicy my eyes started watering... like Id just eaten a straight jalapeno. Also, the regular Manhattan I ordered was almost straight whiskey with a cherry in it. Couldnt drink it, so I handed it off to my boyfriend. (And Im a huge fan of Manhattans.) Ill try this place one more time...hopefully their bartending and seasoning game gets stepped up.

I adore the updated Southwestern feel of Chisos Grill! They host a great menu and an even better Ghost Bar. The Menu has all natural selections of Beef, Pork, Poultry, Seafood & GF menu items. The bar hosts over 30 beers, 25 spirits and 20 wines - all from the state of Texas! The entire cocktail menu features Texas sourced spirits blended with fresh juices. The menu is also locally sourced and the atmosphere is just what a good restaurant should be. The staff is very friendly and my kids really enjoyed their time there as well.

A unique take on southwestern style meal. The decor has a southwest vibe. The food as well but the flavors, spices and combinations are very unique. For example the apple bacon slaw replaces traditional cabbage with silvers of apple, also has pieces of bacon and red pepper. The chicken Nueces is Chisos take on pecan chicken. Basically pecan breaded fried chicken. Surprisingly, not greasy, I also loved the mango-like chutney and sauce. If you enjoy shaking it up - Chisos is your place.

Ordered for take out expecting great food as I was given a gift certificate but I was very dissapointed at the food. Very poor quality of food. I ordered a salad with steak and I got a small portion of lettuce with a small piece of steak it was dry and burned My husband ordered a chicken sandwich and the chicken was way overcooked. The place is nice but what makes a restaurant great is the food. i will not be coming back there very again.

Took my 11 year old son for his birthday to have some of their "jumbo" shrimp. What he got was 6 rather small to medium shrimp and a small helping of fries for $15. He was happy and did enjoy the dessert. Also the young waitress was really sweet. They charged too much and delivered too little but I didnt complain while there as I didnt want to spoil his bday meal. Dont go expecting much except for them to overcharge and under deliver.

I started wtih the stuffed Peppadew peppers (half-priced during happy hour) and had the fried catfish for my main entree. The plump, slightly sweet, peppadew peppers were delicous! The catfish is some of the best Ive ever enjoyed, perfectly cooked and with a nicely seasoned coating, that wasnt too heavy.

One of the most well managed restaurant in town in my opinion. Great food, great service. They have separate areas for a different dining experience (tvs vs no tvs) and the owner has always personally made sure weve been satisfied each time Ive been there.

This is my second time eating here. First time I had tacos and did not enjoy them. Second time I had pulled pork and it was good. Very country and western sort of spot. Good space in the restaurant. Nice furnishings. Overall enjoyable the second. time around
