I love this place, never had a thing I disliked until my recent visit or I would have put 5 stars instead of 4. Let me begin with what I love here. I LOVE the tacos, especially on Taco Tuesday. If it wasnt for my new hours at work, I would be there every Tuesday to partake in this delicious meal. Everything they offer is fresh - they have the quality as well as the quantity. This last visit I noticed no more Mahi Mahi though and replaced it with Drum - well.. this is like replacing ribs with ham or Crab with Krab - not too happy about it. But I ordered the shrimp which I always love. They have yummy pico de gallo to do with this as well. Go on Taco Tuesday - save $2 a taco. Its soo worth it. Also, the tartar sauce is really good here. Cant say that about a lot of places, but it is really really good here. Creamy and tangy but not too chunky. The blueberry cobbler is to die for. We always get this yummy sweet treat for dessert. It has this cream on it that is sooooo good and its warm and fills your tummy with delight. Lots of blueberries - warms the soul. Unfortunately this last visit we had - it was like we were given the scrapings of the bottom of the pan - if it is not good quality - then dont serve it. The first time we were disappointed with it. The Banana pudding is also a very good dessert to have over here. Not overly sweet, creamy with yummy bananas and cookies in it. Usually another of my favorites. Again, this last visit - it disappointed me. There were just too many cookies and barely any pudding in it at all. I am thinking they were just super busy this night though and sold out -but again, if it is not high quality like what is usually served here, then do not serve it. But normally these two desserts are super awesome and I recommend them highly. I ordered the soup of the day, Crab, potato, and leek. I was super excited to try this as everything else I have ever ordered here has been very good. For one, they forgot the dang crab in it - I kept looking for it and it just was not there. So I called over one of the two amazing waitresses they have there as we sat in one of the tables to be served on and she went and corrected this. It was not her fault -but I was not too pleased they gave me a 2 tbs of cold crab to put in my soup. The soup was also spicy and there was no indication it would be. On the whole, we will be back because only once we have been dissapointed with a few of their items. Generally it is a very good place to grab some seafood considering we are not on the coast. The staff, well the waitresses and bartenders - are super friendly and easy to talk to. We will not let this one visit steer us away - we will return for those tacos for sure lol.

My husband and I went there for the first time the other day. Since we are new in town we use a book called "fearless critic". So far the book has been very helpful and more or less on the mark. They give a 8.8 out of 10 for this place which is very rare. We were very excited about going there. Between the two of us we ate calamari, Seafood gumbo soup, and a Gulf shrimp Sandwich. I cannot begin to tell you how disappointed we were. The food was awful. If this is the best place in town then I will stay far away from anyplace that sells seafood. The soup was inedible. I paid almost $9 for a sandwich that had an awful bread, old lettuce and 3 shrimps that tasted weird. The calamari were ok I guess. I love fish and seafood in general. Being from a city that is next to the ocean I know very well how fresh fish looks. The fish that they were selling (they are also a market) was everything but fresh. I even asked them what days of the week they usually get fresh fish to which they answered: " we get it everyday". Which means no hope for those who might think that I went there in a bad day. The only nice thing I can say about the place was that the people were nice and friendly.

I am so not impressed with this place at all. Maybe I just havent ordered the right things, but what I have tried has come out luke warm, soggy and just overall not that great. The "fresh" fish market part is unappealing to me as well, as it has a bit of a stench that doesnt exactly exude freshness to me. But it gets consistently good ratings and recommendations, so maybe Ive just caught it on bad nights or something, I dont know. Unfortunately though, I really dont have much desire to give it any more chances. Theres far better seafood in Austin, in my opinion. I will say however, Ive never been on taco Tuesdays, and I hear theyre actually really good and super affordable, so if I ever do go back, it will probably be for that. Aside from that, I will be avoiding this restaurant and its sketchy surroundings.

Our city is not known for its seafood, but I think that Quality Seafood could go head to head with any seafood restaurant in the state! No joke! Fresh is the name of the game for sure, and the prices make plenty of sense. If it costs more than the other things on the menu thats because its really good and youre gettin a lot of it. The best part about QS is that its also a market so you can take home the delicious seafood, incredible tarter and cocktail sauce (its the very best Ive ever had), wine, batter and so much more. A good friend of mine recently had a fish fry and he bought everything from QS and it was the biggest hit EVER! I saw this place for years and never stepped foot in it, now I cant step out of it! Dont judge a book by its cover. Go! Go! Go!

This place is amazing. The first time I visited, I had the salmon burger with fried okra. DELISH! Ive also had their steelhead special - steelhead filet grilled with honey mustard, with two sides and cornbread for $10! It was very good, moist, and you cant go wrong ordering the mac and cheese. The people at the counter are patient (after changing my order twice and asking them to wait - they still smiled) and friendly. I forgot to get utensils at the front and one of the servers kindly got them for me even though its not a restaurant where you get a server (more Jasons deli style where you get a ticket #). Either way, their service is great. They recently started doing cooking classes which is something that I look forward to doing in the future.

We love to come Wednesday nights for Jazz music that starts a bit before 7. The fish is all fresh from the market and can be prepared in a number of ways. Everything from fried (why the fish are fresh) to Grilled, Blackened, Broiled, Sauteed... etc etc. Feels like a bubba gump shrimp skit. Good selection of beer at the full service bar. Most tables are order in line and have food delivered. The high tops next to the bar are full service drinks and food. Nice way to skip the line on busy nights. Great place to pick up fish for home cooking too. Ask for what came in that day and suggestions on cooking they will be happy to help.
