I did receive the poor feedback from colleague and friends. It was late afternoon and didnt have time to drive to South Austin for one of my favorite place, so went to this restaurant. If owner reads this review, he will get lot to learn from. 1. Sitting arrangement was not appropriate as hallway left from buffet to other end was not sufficient enough. Keep in mind, kids around too. 2. Water pitcher (I thought glass vase) kept on table was dirty enough that I can clearly see dust in it. 3. I asked server for Kids glass 3 times, I didnt get it at all. Usually I carry his sippy cup, so no worry. 4. It was crowded place and staff was overwhelmed with it. FOOD : 5. There was lot of choice from appetizer, veg entree, non-veg entree, biryani, desert, fruits, milk shake and tea. I did see soda can in lot of peoples hand but I am not sure whether it was part of price. 6. Usually in any Indian buffet, if I like at least one or two items, I consider them to be fair enough, but this was not the case here. 7. There were 2 Pakoras on this Sunday buffet, both of them were tasteless and made from cauliflower. Couldnt Eat it 8. Paneer pulav had fried frozen paneer and added in pulao. It didnt go quite well. 9. Veggie navratan korma was not creamy at it suppose to be but satisfactory to eat. 10. Afgan Chicken was not marinated and except external yogurt coating it had no taste, same goes with Chicken gravy. 11. Didn;t try veggie biryani but meat is goat and chicken biryani was not tendered and lacked taste. 12. Carrot Halwa was the only consolation I had but I am not fan of eating sweets. I didnt like it at all, so as my family. Its one of the most expensive buffet in town and not worth it. There are better alternatives in ala-carte in restaurants around.

After seeing the good reviews, we went it to this restaurant on a Tuesday evening. There were a few people waiting for their food and we ordered a South Central Combo (Idly + Wada) and a Special Dosa. While we were waiting for the food, they served us papads which they picked from the buffet place (probably left overs of morning buffet) in front of us along with mint chutney. The Idly/wada came in 15 minutes with 2 chutneys and sambar. The peanut chutney was awful and having a pungent smell. We informed this and they said it was freshly prepared and said they would check. Then they said, the coconut used was bad (I am not sure why peanut chutney has coconut in it) and would get us new chutney in 5 minutes which never happened. Then, they said they have an issue with tawa and would get the special dosa in 5 minutes. In the meanwhile we ordered Chilli chicken on suggestion of the waiter compared to chicken 65. what we got ultimately was nowhere close to chilli chicken. It was just few dry pieces of chicken reheated and sprinkled with spring onions. Then our dosa arrived with only one chutney and sambar (they completely forgot the second chutney). There was nothing special about the dosa. it is a plain dosa with few chunks of dry gobi pieces fried in oil (one of the pieces still had the raw corn flour on it) and dosa was completely dry by the time they got it. I would never go to this place again. Their customer service is bad. The waiters never respond and I had to wait for 10 minutes to get them to take my card for bill payment at the counter, not at my seat.

I have now gone here twice in 2 weeks and am in love! The first time, I went on a Friday with my cousins, who were visiting from Massachusetts. We were very much reassured by the 100 South Asians standing in line for the buffet. We were not disappointed! The second time, I took my collegues on a Saturday and after waiting 20-30 minutes to get in, my collegues declared it was worth the wait. The weekend buffet is unbelievable. There seem to 30-40 different dishes to choose from. As a vegetarian, I was thrilled with the selection! My meat eating Cousins enjoyed the goat curry and various chicken dishes. They also liked the complimentary beer (really, its free!) I liked the numerous vegetable dishes (including many that I have never seen before at other Indian restaurants), rice dishes, fried things (again, many I havent see at other Indian restaurants), and of course lentil/chickpea dishes. I really appreciated the wide selection of dishes (I cant remember many of the names because they were unfamiliar). Everything was perfectly seasoned and delightfully spicy (tingly, but not overwhelming in the heat department). The dessert selection was also great both times. The first time, there was gulab jamun, rice pudding, and carrot halwa. The second time, there was jalebi, some fried donut-like balls, and a fruit pudding. The also bring garlic naan and dosas to the tables. And, they put a full pitcher of water on every table, which i appreciate. I think were going to be regulars!

Firstly I must mention to you that my friends and I, we like trying new cuisines & flavors, So we decided to go to this restaurant as we wanted. I was always been a big fan of Godavari franchise for there great food and customer service . But i saw total opposite in this location we been here at 5:40pm and Initial impression worst ever customer service i have seen so far. One Gentleman was busy on his phone texting and customers were watching the each others place to get there glimpse and order the food its been almost 10 min he is still busy. So people start cancelling order. Coming to food we ordered 2 orders of garlic naan and we got 1 order of garlic and other the regular one. The whole experience was absurd and will never think of going back again. In a few words...you should better try Churchs chicken on the main road...opposite the restaurant. at-least they have presence of mind and can get your order done !

Definitely a notch better than other restaurants in town. A wide variety of items not seen in other restaurants. Interesting names too for the dishes. Caters to the taste buds of most, if not everyone. Agree that there is a bit of a wait for the food, especially at lunch time, but i guess that is coz everyone is eager to check out the "new restaurant in town" and the staff still has to streamline a few things, but i could see that the staff was doing everything that they can to accommodate every customer that they could fit in there.... What business would want to shoo away their patrons????. Would give them a benefit as they are just a week old and are in a nascent stage.....I would definitely go again to this restaurant on any day. Hopefully, the people who were not as lucky as I was, will have a better experience, on their next visit.

I hate writing negative reviews, but Im doing this almost as a reminder to myself not to order from them again. I had forgotten that the first time I ordered delivery, the food took 1.5 hours to arrive and was cold. Last nights order took almost 2 hours, was missing an item, and had one item switched out for another (handwritten on the receipt as well). When I called I was told I could get a refund or get the right items delivered in another 45 minutes. Already being late for dinner, I asked for the refund which still has not been made. So their customer service score is nil. The food itself was incredibly flavorful and absolutely delicious. Theres no denying that. But both chicken dishes had a LOT of cartilage and tiny bones in it. While its a sign of fresh chicken, they need to learn to debone properly too.
