***ON A GOOD NOTE*** ***Cokers is normally fairly priced for the quantity and quality. The most important thing about this homegrown, Texan, small business that I love is their patriotism, and love they show our military, EMS (ambulance because they are separate), fire, and police. This is their normal. The portions are very generous, and the price is fair in our economy. Its great BBQ on a normal day. So please go try it for yourself, and if you get the cheerleader, speak cheerleader. Maybe that will make her happy. ;P *** I used to love Cokers. That was until today. Maybe it was an off day, but the last time wasnt so hot either. Out of loyalty, I will always go to Cokers. They are 8 out of 10 times awesome for the price, quality, quantity, and customer service. Today was just not one of those days. No matter how we tried to engage the young lady taking to go orders, she was unable to hide her disdain for us or more likely she didnt want to be there. We were trying to be polite and funny. She was indignant. It got worse when when my Marine Veteran hubby noticed her torso apparel promoted the same high school our kids attended, and last one is still finishing. Bizarre, right? You would think that she would perk up and be happy. Nope. We said our three girls names (all popular IB students and Theatre Officers) thinking she may have known one of them, but when she heard "theatre" she stopped listening and interrupted. "No sorry. I was a cheerleader." She missed the hair flip part, but the bite in her tone was there. " I graduated last year." Okay, so did our oldest daughter, who skipped a grade, and was the youngest in her class, like all the girls. The other two skipped two grades. That wiped the smirk off her face. Then she got our order wrong, and was sloppy about it. We couldnt believe what we were looking at when we got home. This is why we think it was a bad day. That, and the blonde cheerleader playing cashier while the interracial couples kids graduate early, and go to colleges, making her salty and jelly that her "tsk" Im a cheerleader failed to impress us attitude backfired into our order. Guys, I love yall. However, I ordered $14.99 worth of combo (3 meats) and got a sandwich and a half worth. I did not get the extra bbq sauce that I was charged $2.99 for. I asked for pickles, just pickles. My hubby asked for jalepeno peppers. We didnt want them mixed, or all the other stuff. The sausage the hubby got was refused by my dog, let alone not edible for humans. He was originally aiming for a cup of sweet tea, but poured it in the drain before we left because it tasted wrong. The pinto beans were bbq beans, but we specified and pointed on the menu at the same time, pinto. Lastly, for the products, the coleslaw was not coleslaw. It was, um, yeah, not sure exactly. It went into the disposal after one bite. So today was a very bad day. Between the cheerleader that lost her cheer-mojo, and the smallest portioned, gone bad or just bad tasting items, and the incorrect order, it will probably be a while before we come back again. It was not a fun time. I felt it necessary to erase my 5 star rave and post this, it was that kind of bad day. I hope there wont be anymore of these days.

The BBQ is great. Try the all-you-can-eat so you get a sample all their BBQ. The ribs are great, the brisket is never dry, usually marbled. Sausage is good, turkey is good. The BBQ sauce is made in-house and comes in a sweet and a spice variations. The Decor is a novelty, all based on Coca-cola memorabilia. Its like a museum inside there. The facilitys are somewhat aged, but it makes it seem like a good BBQ place. I certainly dont look for good BBQ in spotless places. Cokers is your typical hole-in-the-wall restaurant. The service is kind of slow if you get the all you-can-eat, takes a while to bring the next plate. The service is always good, never rising to the level of great. I like that the same people still work there whenever I go back, about once ever two months or so.

Really like the food and people working here! Love the monster potato and they actually have an all you can eat plate. ($20) However, my criticism here is with the ribs and pork. The ribs I had were rather dry and not much meat on the bones. The flavor of the pork felt off, not as good as what Ive had at Jambos or Davids Barbecue. That, and the chopped brisket was already covered in BBQ sauce. The flavor was nice, but I could tell it too wouldve been dry if not for the sauce. All in all though, I like coming here. Just mentioning the above for any barbecue connoisseurs visiting the area. Ive been to nearly all BBQ restaurants in the area and Cokers is decent. Dont expect life changing meats, but expect good food and great people. Its like the Cheers of BBQ.

This was our first time at Cokers. We went there on the strength of the reviews we saw. I must say if there were any bad reviews, it must have been an off night... This place is in a word AWESOME!!! The food was good, the service gracious, and the atmosphere excellent. Lets talk about the food... We ordered the 3 meat combo plate. The ribs are good very nicely. The sliced brisket is good. However, it wasnt as hot as I would prefer. The hot links have a great kick to them. I highly recommend the loaded potato. I got the Mt. Everest of loaded potatoes. They were not at all skimpy with the toppings and the potato itself was HUGE. The sweet tea is worth the price of admission. We will most certainly be coming back!!!

My husband liked the pulled pork, but I thought it was dry and tasteless. The french fries and mac&cheese were both terrible. The building itself is run-down, from the frayed carpet in the dining room to the joke of a ladies room. There are two stalls in the ladies room; one has no door at all and the other has a door that doesnt close all the way. The only bright spot to the dinner was that the waitress was very friendly. If you like lots of fried food and arent picky about taste or the facilities, this is the place for you.

Cokers BBQ Did not like this Barbecue at all. First time trying their food. Only tried it because it had the highest rating for Barbecue in Arlington. Ordered 1 lb. of ribs & 1 lb. of hot links. Sides ordered were coleslaw and baked beans. Both were tasteless. The ribs were fatty. The hot links flavor did not taste good at all, and was too spicy. I ate a small portion of it because I was hungry, then threw the rest away. Not at all what I expected in a Barbecue restaurant.

It was delicious! The waitress was a young girl in high school, I think. She was great. She went above and beyond. Im pretty sure whatever you get here is going to be good. My favorite would be the chopped brisket and sausage, of the choices. It is a little older and definitely has been around a while. I think that speaks volumes about how good they are, though. Credit card machine was not working. Fortunately, we had enough cash combined to make it. Didnt feel like washing dishes.
