Chasin Tail BBQ is in Lake Dallas, located north of Lewisville and south of Denton on the east side of IH-35E. No trouble finding it if you use WAZE. It used to be on the other side of the freeway. Now they have more seating but do not have a drive-thru. They added fries to the menu when they moved to the new location. The place is known for their BBQ sauce. It comes in original and spicy versions. My favorite is the loaded baked potato with pulled pork and spicy sauce. It is easily a meal by itself. They have delicious banana pudding, and they sell slabs of BBQ ribs on Saturdays. Not expensive, probably less than Rudys since Rudys keeps raising prices. Atmosphere is family style with self serve soft drinks and free refills. The staff is friendly and usually quick with the service. They also have a location in Lewisville that I have not tried yet. They accept credit cards but do not have their own delivery drivers. No alcohol at this location, so it is OK to bring the kids. Be sure to ask about the lunch special if you arrive on a weekday during lunch hours.

I went in this afternoon to place an order. As I stood there at the counter, I noticed several workers who looked at me through a large opening to the kitchen. They looked at me in disdain as though to say "what the hell do you want?". They just smirked and scowled at me. One guy in a yellow shirt just looked at me as he walked by the window without as so much as a "can I help you" ....nothing. Two females were in the background who just looked at me with hatred in their eyes. None of them said anything. I walked out in disgust. The only consolation I have is knowing their I.Q.s, if they even know what that stands for, is that of a rock. I will never enter that pig sty of low-class racist attitudes again...

I tried to email them directly but I guess I have to install special software to contact them over the internet. It said Flash, which I know causes a lot of computer problems. Anyway, I stopped by to get a pulled pork sandwich and a turkey sandwich with a side of beans after work. Now I dont twitch when I talk or act like I need to go to the bathroom so I was surprised that everything that I ordered came on a single sandwich... Wow! I have not seen that one before. That dinner plan goes right out the window... Thank god no medical procedures were required.

Side dishes are average to a bit above but their BBQ RULES. They have ribs down to perfect. MUCH better than the old owner. I am a BBQ sampler from all over KC, Memphis, all over Texas and most any state you can name and can say their meats are definately in the top five. They need to work on attention to detail for orders. I have had things not in the bag that were paid for the last three times. (missing Desserts, sides, BBQ sauce etc...) Still great smoked meat but owners need to watch those "how to run a restaurant" shows on food TV.

Brisket and ribs are very good. The sausage is average. Did not try other meats. The sides are pretty good. The prices are about average for bbq. The exception is the All You Can Eat Tail Chaser which only includes meay, but is only a few dollars more than a 2 meat plate. The service could be a little better as my daughter went and ordered a side of fries halfway through our meal and when everyone had finished, they had still not been delivered and when she checked on them, they had forgotten. All in all, the food is worth coming back for.

How disappointing. After not coming here for several months I was excited to return for ribs and fixins. New cooks? No clue! At 6:30 pm food wasnt warm, sides were not the same quality at all. The beans were like canned pork and beans the brisket served room temp was dry with no smoke taste or flavor. The ribs were C- and the sauce at the tables obviously watered down. From great to poor in a few months. Seems like they are either clueless or making the classic mistake of trying to increase profits by cutting back quality.

Some of the worst BBQ I ever had. The sausage is horrible, basically a large hot dog sliced with no seasonings. The brisket had a minimal smoke ring, no smoke flavor and tasted more like it was cooked in an oven; and served cold. A bbq hot pocket is better. The vegetables had more grease and salt than i could handle. The sauce looked like gelatin, ive never seen a clumpy/jelly bbq sauce. i will NEVER eat here again. 1 star is being nice.

Ordered through zuppler, you have to put in name, email and phone number. Get confirmation number and pick up time, get there 5 or 6 minutes after scheduled time, and they havent even started on the order yet, then tell me they are out if pulled pork...... its happened before, wont happen to me anymore, Im done with them, they also act put out when you come in to dine, like they dont want to be bothered.

They gave us someone elses order. Then when our order was ready . ..after many outher people that ordered after us had left with there food... our drinks were missing. They couldnt get the drinks right. We asked for napkins and cutlery. When we arrived ay the park down the road to eat... our sandwiches we ice cold, no napkins and no firms for our sides! Not happy! ! !

Visited Chasin Tail BBQ this past Friday for lunch and it was awesome. I had the turkey sandwich with mac n cheese for the side and the signature sauce for the sandwich... Everything was absolutely great and I definitely will be going again soon. :-)

This is the way BBQ is supposed to taste. I had the pulled pork. It was better than any BBQ Ive had in Texas. Seriously, Ive had a lot of BBQ in my life, and I have never been impressed with Texas BBQ, Im impressed.

Ive eaten here for lunch a few times. Each time I had the chopped beef sandwich with a side of okra and fried cabbage. The food isnt too bad but I wouldnt go out of my way to recommend it. The service is ok.

Go some place else. Nothing to write home about. Food tastes like it was baked in an oven with smoke flavor in a bottle. They never use the pig smoker outside...Just for decoration.

Very good. Pulled pork was moist and flavorful, ham was good, brisket was great and do was the chicken. Spicy sauce and sweet sauce were both excellent. Fried cabbage was great.

BBQ is average but the side dishes are garbage. Who ever heard of putting onions in Mac n Cheese? Not me and no one I ever told this story to has either.

This place is under new management. If you are a BBQ lover, then look no further. I have never had BBQ this good. I love the ribs basket.
