Took my wife and 3 young children (ages 6-10) today (7/9) for the first time. I had heard good things. They short changed our order by one item. My wife politely asked for the item at the cashier who, visibly annoyed, sent a server over to our table and told us he needed to see the receipt in order to give us our side order of fries. He literally took the receipt and went down the receipt with each item and checked it off against what was on the table. He finally concurred that my side of fries was not delivered. He went back to the kitchen and returned a few minutes later saying he needed my receipt "because the cook doesnt believe me." I gave him the receipt and he returned 3 minutes later and said my fries would be right out. After 15 minutes, I went to the cashier and politely asked to speak to a manager. At this point it had been 20-25 minutes since the rest of the food was delivered. The "cook" came out and said he was aware of the issue, but it would be a few more mins for the fries. I told him that it had already been at least 20 mins and that it was ridiculous that they had to check my receipt at all in the first place, let alone 2 times. He said he had to get his manager. His manager came out visibly annoyed and began by arguing with me saying he looked at the Receipt and I had only been waiting 5 mins. I told him he was wrong and he kept arguing saying that it was only 5 mins but agreed that their policy is they only check the receipt once, and that since they checked mine twice, he would refund my fries. I stopped the server who passed by and said "please do me a favor--tell your manager, honestly, how long we were waiting." The server looked at the clock and said "about 20 minutes." The manager then said "fine whatever do you want a refund on your fries or not?" I said no thanks, but treating your customers like this is disgraceful. It should be noted that the restaurant was less than 1/3 full so being "too busy" still would be no excuse. The food was good---but the behavior of "the cook" and "the manager" was at best disgraceful. Further--even McDonalds will fulfill our order if you go up to the counter and explain an item is missing. They dont need to look at the receipt, let alone twice because they dont trust their own employees. We will not be returning.

Drove 30mins to try this place, the cashier looked us up and down and kept ogling my husband blatantly, didnt count my change back properly and seemed to have to spend an iordinately long time picking $1.62 out of her till as if it were a complicated process. I asked 3 times that there be sauce both on my husbands sandwich and my brisket. I got the two meat combo with brisket and pulled pork, two sides and a roll. We ordered it to go. Got home and there was no roll and no sauce, however the flavor and texture of the meat was very good. Also the potato sald was excellent , the green beans were good, though mushy. I will definitely go back so I can try the sauce which was my intention in the first place. The quality of the food is what saved this from being a bad experience, also Thank you to Robert who took the time out to listen to my complaint when I called from home and make an offer to make it up to me in a future visit, with the exception of the little girl at the cash register the service was decent. Also to the gentleman with the "if your white" title, I am sorry they treated you in such a manner ther was a man there tonight that wasnt white and they seemed to treat him just fine though, perhaps it was the particular staff member and you should go make note of who it was, I have met the owner and he would never have tolerated such ill treatment had he known he is country but not the type to judge.

This is by far THE BEST BBQ restaurant in the Fort Worth area, possibly Dallas as well!! Im from Memphis, TN (home of BBQ, Elvis, & Blues), lived in GA, and moved here last year, and since I left GA have not been able to find a REAL restaurant that actually knows what seasoning food is. However, Feedstore most definitely does, UNDOUBTEDLY!!! Just had their dry brisket tonight, with sides of fried okra and potato salad, and it was all off the chain! The fried okra was perfectly seasoned as well as the brisket, which for dry brisket was spot on point! I ordered a side of bbq sauce and it perfectly complimented the brisket, not overpowering the smoked-in flavor of the meat. And in actuality, the meat alone without the sauce could stand, thats just how good it is!! When it comes to food quality price is not that significant of a factor, though the prices here are reasonable and they offer military discount and gave me a free drink and rolls!! Will be back to dine in next time instead of carrying out, that way everything is even fresher and more tastier!! Thanks much Feedstore!! And my stomach & tastebuds thank you too!!

This was our first visit to Feedstore BBQ and it will not be the last. The food was great. Had chopped beef sandwich. The bun was fresh and the beef very moist. The fries were crispy and hot. They had a variety of sides and freshly baked rolls and soft serve ice cream to cap off a great meal. I really appreciate this establishment for accommodating my daughters birthday party on short notice. Its a great place to eat nestled among the beautiful, massive homes in Southlake. We would not have found this restaurant had it not been for Google maps and are we glad we did!! Thanks again! Well be back!

This place have the best food in its categories that i know of. ; perhaps mainly because of mr. Bill LaFavers ; A real, true conaseur and former judge of many Barbeque competitions and contests... So there is little wonder about the great taste and expertise the feedstore barbeque presnts... I know this to be true as a former employee for this one of a kind family owned Buisness...I was trained by the best. ( Bill, Mike, and Matt LaFavers) = The 3 Amigos... So enjoy your next meal at the Feedstore...And tell em ; Darnell sent you___ Amen.!!!

$44 for two meat plate combos and some sub-par sides? (I dont think the drinks were included in that combo price, which would be rubbish if so.) The mashed potatoes were bland, the mac was watery, and eating ribs here was like eating jerky. The turkey and okra was good at least, but the eating experience as dampened by the homely establishment and atmosphere. Its sad when the $.50 ice cream is the most enjoyable part of a restaurant experience. Its just so depressing to think that this joint replaced our beloved Up in Smoke.

We had our wedding rehersal dinner at The Feedstore in September. We were able to use their adjoing room on a Friday evening. We were allowed to come in early and decorate the room the way we wanted. The management and staff were incrediblely nice and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was great! We had many people in from out of state and this was a wonderful place for them to enjoy some real Texas BBQ in a fun atmosphere.
